Nathaniel Denieers

Nathaniel glared across the pit at his opponent. his fists clenched tightly into white balls. The air grew dim and heavy in the surrounding area as thick storm clouds gathered over head. A violent gust of wind picked up and fluttered through Nathaniel's scarf and hair.

As moments passed a light drizzle began falling from the skies and a low rumble could be heard. An exceedingly blinding bolt of lightning flashed and Nathaniel appeared behind his counterpart, faster than the bolt had a chance to pull back. The demon sent a high kick to Abyss' head, sand had collected on Nathans leg and heated up to make razor sharp shards of glass as hardened sand grasped onto Abyss' feet. holding him in place

Abyss's shape bent backwards as he dodged the kick with ease. his left arm formed a large jagged scythe as he swung his entire body, using his trapped feet to hold him in place, as he spun like a top, slicing the air around him.

Eleson closed his eyes and touched a piece of each of the soul artifacts and murmered a single ancient word which would translate roughly to fusion. Eleson gasped as a Soul appeared from each artifact and stepped together into his body. Eleson whimpered as power forced changes on his body incredible power through him.

The first change would seem incredibly minor but was in fact a sign of his new self his eyes changed slowly to be all black with purple irises. This was the first of the minor changes the second was that his hair would take on the color of twilight around the tips with midnight blue low lights through the ends.

Physically he got taller as he took on the aspect of those he had taken the souls of. Tattoo's of spell circles and seals covered his wrists covered by jet black bracers of leather that were jeweled. A leather vest wove its way around his upper torso, made of leather straps and silver brackets. From his back sprouted wings of a blue so dark it looked like blackness.

Black chain and gold jewels formed across the bone of the wings to protect them. Eleson closed his eyes to breathe slowly and held out his hand black mist poured around his hand forming his great two hander.

Mist formed again and wrapped around the man who held the artifacts and slowly pulled him back to the real world hovering in the realm of abyss from which he had vanished.

The chain attached to the spade blade would quickly retract back into the three foot long handle that the blade would reattach to. A sinister and twister grin would come over Desh's face as he looked at the man. "You remind me oh so much of him." Though the words were cryptic, and Kells wouldn't understand what he was talking about it was the reasoning behind this assault.

"The aura surrounding you has the same feel as his, the attack patterns and the skills are just as similar as the aura is!" As he spoke the chain connecting the two weapons three foot long handles would start to slide out giving Desh about ten foot of chain to work with. "Tell me, who are you? You aren't human that is for sure, tell me why you are so much like Dai!"

But instead of giving the man a chance to speak, he would toss both of his weapons up and grab the chain that was directly below the handles. He would let the chain slide through his hand until he had a full foot of chain between his hand and the weapon handles now. Once he had sufficient amount of chain on between his hands and the weapons he would begin to spin the weapon around at a high speed just staring down at the man waiting for his answer, an answer that was sure to be the wrong one and provoke him.

Kells scowled, even more annoyed at this cryptic nonsense. "You got a lot of nerve asking me all these questions," he said. He was beginning to lose patience with this guy. "And how do you know my grandfather?" Okello watched the man ready himself for an attack and raised his katana. His left arm and hand began to glow a faint blue. If the guy thought he was going to bum-rush him again, he'd get a face full of blade or an energy ball, whichever left his hand first.

GRANDFATHER! That really wasn't what Desh was expecting to hear from this man. "So the old coot settled down and probably rolled over and died already. He always was a soft one so I guess I shouldn't be surprised." Even though the demon was surprised by the news that this man was Dai's grandson, it didn't change his resolve to fight him.

He continued to spin both of his weapons while he tried to decide which weapon he wanted to use for his next assault on the demon. He would throw his right arm forward and release the chain as he did so. The spade blade and the handle would fly directly towards Kells chest but the attack wasn't quite what it seemed. Moments before impact the entire weapon would burst into a hundreds of thousands of steel shards. All these shards would actually conceal the actual attack. After the rest of the weapon exploded the chain was left with an arrow head type end on it. If the arrow head were to pierce the man's body that would give Desh some kind of control over Kells, at least the distance away from Desh he would get.

It was obvious the guy hadn't seen Grandad in a long, long time. He'd be more surprised that the old man didn't look that old at all. "He aint dead and he'd kick your a** for saying that!" Kells yelled at the guy, but he couldn't keep himself from grinning. It sounded like a rumor Grandad would want circulating for his own enigmatic reasons.

Even when the man--he was beginning to think he was not really a man at all--renewed his assault, the smile didn't leave his face. An old rival of grandpa's, huh? "Alright then," he muttered, sliding his katana back into its sheath. He removed the sword and sheath and tossed them aside. He had to act fast; the little spikes were quick and deadly. He straightened, feeling the cold, thrilling shiver of energy tickle the soles of his feet and launch itself up his legs. An intense pulse of energy erupted from his every pore, coating him in new, jet-black skin. His clothing disappeared. His once white hair spiked straight up. Red streaks pulsed across his body like engorged veins. This thick, opaque energy devoured every scrap of clothing, every cell of skin, every unused portion of his being. He was completely unrecognizable. He raised a dense, dark shield to block as many of the tiny shards as possible. There were too many; some lodged themselves into his upper arm, shoulder and chest. Okello ignored the little rivulets of blood seeping from his wounds and leapt to dodge the arrowhead. Crap! Too close. He rolled to one side, came up on one knee and shot two powerful energy blasts at the man....who's name he still didn't know.

As the man began to change his form into a pitch black color the demon was actually beginning to wonder if he had achieved a higher control of the one thing that the demon had always feared. Upon seeing the shards embed themselves into this new form and not be eaten away instantly a silent sigh of relief would escape from the demon.

As the man leaped over of the arrowhead only one sound could be heard from the demon a small, tch. But no matter, he still had plenty of time to try and embed the arrowhead into the man. He kept his eyes focused on the man as he rolled and launched the energy balls at him. He must have been trained by Dai because these were the same old stale moves from long past. All the demon had to do to avoid the energy balls was turn to his side and let them fly right by him.

"I'd like to see him try and kick my a**. I'm far stronger than I used to be, and if that lecher found time to settle down he must have gone soft. So what is the name of the great Daimon T. Slayer's grandson? So I know what to inscribe on your tombstone after I kill you." The demon had seen no reason to be impressed by the offspring of his rival thus far and was beginning to grow bored with him.

The arrow head would turn in mid-air without the demon making any movement whatsoever and fly behind the man. The arrowhead would circle around the man before the chain would rapidly fly towards him in an attempt to bind his arms. If the chain were to successfully bind him the arrowhead would come back into play and attempt to skewer the man through his navel. If the arrow head made it's way into Kell's navel it would continue through his body until it made it's way out of his back anchoring itself on his spine.

But this would all happen at the same time as a second attack that was already point blank. The shards that were embedded in his upper arm, shoulder and chest would seemingly melt, although they were only roughly the temperature of his body, and begin to force themselves into the wounds that they caused. The liquid steel would move into the veins and start to assimilate Kell's red blood cells if he couldn't do anything to stop them. Hopefully he would be too distracted by the liquid metal making its way into his body to realize what the chain was doing.

Eleson or rather Isen since that was who he was now let his feet settle lightly into the ground of the abyssal plane. Isen held out his hand and black mist seemed to surround it and from it came a ghostly green light. It would shine even in the darkness of this weird realm. An other worldly glow would fall off of his wings though he was neither angel or demon he looked to be parts of both.

Isen walked towards where he had appeared first not far now from where lance now stood and from him a ghostly light would shine from the black mist that seemed to surround him.

Isen was an ascended eternal, with the power of all the souls he had fused with. Isen moved closer and closer and closer to where lance now stood. Eleson was gone now lost to the seperate souls now all together as one.

Lance walked around the planes as well, though the dark realm seemed to never end, the thought of finding Scarlett was on his top list of things to do, along with trying to get Daniel away from here. He knew that what the others said about saving Daniel was impossible, but Lance never took it seriously, seeing he was impossible to save from his reign of terror... So Lance in other words never to it to heart.. The dims of light faded from the clouds to the ground in rays as if a spotlight was apon the plains... Storm clouds rumble in the backgrounds as if god himseld was after Lance... But Lance was aware of this place of deseption and greed, as he contiued to sense for Scarlett.

Okello leapt out of the way again, avoiding the arrowhead and chain. The guy was trying to distract him, egg him on. "You don't need to know my name cause you're not gonna kill me." Now how did Grandad use this suit? It had to tie in with his absorption abilities, but how? Something foreign was working into his wounds while he puzzled this out. He looked down long enough to see silver goop disappearing into the gouges on his arm, shoulder and chest. That was one thing he didn't want to absorb. As he leapt backwards again, he forced his body to push out the contaminate. It gushed out of his wounds in a silvery-red spray. Why couldn't he remember how to use this goddam suit? He flexed again and an extra pair of arms popped out along his side. Grrr. Alright, concentrate! That arrowhead was still targeted on him; the guy didn't need to tell it what to do it seemed.

He took a deep breath and the arms shriveled and returned to his body. Liquefy the suit, liquefy the suit, come on, dammit! Liquefy! A slight ripple...yes...and then success! The suit gurgled, moving as if it were alive, a rippling black mobile sea of hungry energy.

"My grandad's soft huh?" An ominous laugh escaped his lips. "Bet you don't know anything about his dark chi technique. Very few people have ever seen it and he taught me how to use it." He didn't say that he didn't entirely know HOW to do that exactly. It was enough that he had control of it now. "So," he continued, smug in his newfound power, "I'll introduce you to his dark chi blast." A dark, thick ball of liquid-like energy began to form in his hands. But he didn't aim it at that quick b*****d, no, no. The dark ball flew from his hands in a dizzying spiral towards the chain and arrowhead.

At the mention of the dark chi the demons attitude would seem to change completely. "Black dragon chi." He wouldn't say this loudly, but more mutter it to himself. He had found a few people capable of using something with as much kick as that chi and he now had a few ways to combat it.

The demon would take a few steps away from the man, the chain in tow, and turn to face him. The arrowhead had been caught by the dark chi blast, but the demon didn't even seem to care. "As it stands, I have moves that no one has ever seen. Not even your grandfather, so lets see if he has trained you well enough to combat chaos energy." Dai had seen the original move that spawned the stronger moves but now the demon had a few new tricks up his sleeves.

"I CALL UPON THE POWER THAT THRIVES IN HELL! I OPEN THE GATE TO THIS WORLD AND ASK YOU TO BIND IT OPEN!" The demon would keep his eyes on the man as he said his short chant. "GATE BINDING!!" A few seconds would pass and it would seem like nothing had happened at all. Only those with a connection with the chaotic energy of Hell could feel the rush of chaos energy to the Earth Realm.

Now the real fun would begin since the energy that powered all of his ritual spells was rushing to him he could cast off any of his spells with just the release commands now. "HELL'S ENERGY PRISON!" The chaos energy flooding the area would form a barrier around them. This barrier was here for the sole purpose of disrupting his opponent's magic, spells, alchemy and the such. The only thing that this barrier didn't effect any mental abilities, just magical ones.

((Gate sealing lasts for three posts after it's cast. Hell's energy prison normally only lasts for three posts after it's cast as well, but now it has three posts of being powered by Sealing before it goes to it's own power. Then it has three posts before it runs out unless you decided to use magic to power it for one post longer. razz ))

Okello slid to a halt. The faintest feeling of dread skirted up his spine. This guy wasn't even the least bit disturbed that the energy blast had devoured his chain and arrow. What the hell was he doing now? Kells pulled the dark chi ball back to himself, letting it hit him full blast in the chest and inhaling as it disappeared. A shimmering...something...was enveloping them, he wasn't entirely sure it was even there. "What did you just do?" he asked, then kicked himself mentally for sounding like a scared amateur.

The light was now blocked out by a barrier made of pure chaos energy that would disrupt any magic used by anyone within the barrier except for the caster of the spell. "I guess you'll just have to wait and find out won't you?" Letting out a small laugh he would pull the chain back to him before having what was left of his weapons meld with his arms to form spikes on his forearms.

"If you know anything about chaos energy, now would be the time to bring that knowledge to the surface and show me your true potential. Your black dragon chi can't rival this energy and it is the one energy that you can't absorb, your grandfather found that out the hard way." Extending his arms, they would begin to pulse with the black chaos energy that was flooding the area. The black outline would move up his arms until the spikes were glowing as well. His attacks were now laced with an energy that would break down anything that it touched on a molecular level meaning that it was almost unblockable. The only way to combat chaos energy was with more chaos energy or something with the same properties as chaos energy.

"Alright, you cocky sonova...bigger is better huh?" What he had mistaken for a feeling a fear was actually growing excitement. The stakes were higher now, though he couldn't understand what had brought the two of them to this point. All because he was a Slayer? What the hell had Grandad done to this guy?

Chaos energy...hmm. He vaguely remembered Grandad mentioning it, but his grandfather's memory was spotty now. Something about molecular breakdown...maybe he just wanted to forget....
A slow, mischievous grin crossed his face. He hadn't developed his chi down the same path as his grandfather, not entirely. Where they differed was that Kells was a completely reckless b*****d and had created a technique his Grandad thought was suicide to try in real combat. But what other choice did he have? The only way to find out about the power of the chaos energy was to test it. The invisible field was beginning to disrupt his suit anyway. No matter...he wouldn't need it for much longer.

He rushed towards his grandfather's rival like a wasp towards a tantalizing light. He didn't try to punch or kick him, nor did he lob useless energy blasts at him. He reached his hand out towards one of those glowing arms, wondering if the man's boasts about not being able to absorb the energy were true.

{{I don't think you've ever used this technique in a fight against me, Dev.}}

((You remember there near the end I got Demon's Baptism, well I've gained some more since then. All using the same energy that the Baptism used. biggrin ))

As the man charged him the demon decided he would try to refresh his lessons about the chaos energy, the same way that he showed it to Dai. Pointing both of his arms out at him as he charged the demon would just smirk. "DEMON'S BAPTISM!" All the energy that coated his arms, plus some of the energy that was just freely flowing around him would swarm the palms of his hands forming a baseball sized black orb. The orb was only the catalyst of the beam really. The beam that burst from his hands was ten meters in diameter and moving towards Kells as fast as a bullet.
