No, I do not force such responsibility upon one chosen, but once it is agreed upon, the choice is forever. You may not understand for you are not of the Anullan realm, but such a thing is well known and understood among the Scotierians and the other races within our realm. a sound that barely resembled a sigh escaped Her lips, Fighting is not an option for this is sacred ground. Then the sky became overcast and although Unia was not visibly seen, she was still there for the scales had not left.
The scales began to slow down, each side giving and taking weight until the finally stopped. A bright flash of light surrounded the scales and then the very air within the mind until it dimmed, leaving an unconscious Monaleth in it's wake.
The scales were clear. Her weight upon herself equaled in measure of her duties as a Champion and a Scortierian, so she equally innocent and guiltly, a result of pure neutrality. As for her pact with you, she may stay with you, but her actions as my Champion must be done. When there is a war to be had, she must not join for if she does she will have to kill on both sides with the end result ultimately being her own death. This is the judgement. The mist soon became nothing more than a few cloud in the sky.

Night continued to prevail and the wind blew even those clouds away. Merlin stood quietly, If that is all, I'd appreciate if we could end this business, I've never been on for competition and I tend to crush it when it shows up if it doesn't leave. A habit, I'm afraid. Though her words held a threat, her tone did not, she was even smiling slightly.

A figure stood in the distance, the familiar misty dress surrounding Her as she replied, I'm afraid this competition shall never end if that is what you believe it is. Her bond from both of us is as strong as the first day they were made. Such a thing is inevitable. Her last wordsechoed once again before she left Monaleth's mind.
In the real world Monaleth's eyes regained their alertness although her body was taking more time to return to normal, "Lady...Malen..." she murmured, looking up at the face she knew well, "I thank you..."

Malen sat up, not answering Rike's call for a moment as she tried to get her bearings, but all she could see was her memories flashing before her eyes. It was all fast forward, but she knew it all. Up until the sharp pain in her arms.
She cried out, grabbing invisible wounds below her wrists before she jumped up, "I remember it all." she said, backing away from Rike as he stood up, his look of confusion growing, "Don;t even try to look lost Rike, it won't work! I was happy when C'age was there. I as happy! Do you understand that?! Happy!"
Rike had a series of emotions running across his face. He knew she'd be pissed off for it was her habit, but what she was doing to him was beyond painful, "Kaiser saved you from going to Hell girl!" he snapped , his eyes flashing red, "We all fought to bring you back and this is how you repay us?! You miserable little brat!" his anger was rising just as much as his hurt.
This wasn't going to be pretty...

Kaiser got to his feet and as he heard the yells. "Gods no... not now... I don't have the strength..." The worry was clear in his voice.
Karnac's back arched in anticipation. He had a slight feeling of a possible death to come...

The night was suddenly sucked away and Merlin filled her eyes again. She blinked and touched her forehead down to Monaleth's, "I was afraid I was going to lose you." She murmered, "Naturally I would have gone to Anullan and kicked her a** up and down the block and brought you back." She murmered. The comment was rather uncharacterisitc of Merlin, though. She blinked and lifted her head with all the yelling, "Oh dear...."

Keira turned around glancing at the two, she wanted to say something but thought better of it. She took to the air soon after her mind falling back to C'age. How could he have gotten that easily defeated? She sighed and rolled in the air. Her mind whipping clear of everything. This was sure to be the most interesting city she had ever been in.

Malen took a step backwards at her father's anger. It was something she had rarely seen before, but her own anger rose up as well, "I'm a brat? Is that what you think?! I chose a path that I wanted to have. The choice was all mine and your dumbass didn't get the drift when I left you alone! You're just pissed because I didn't stay under your shadow!" she blinked as the sound of Rike's laughter cut through the air.
"You've never been grateful for what you had, but always you just looked forward as if that makes it better. I should have taught you this lesson a long time ago, but with Cyr's death and Lina's exile things changed drastically for me. I had to choose between exiling you or killing you and saving your a** and now..." his eyes narrowed as that anger rose through the roof, but he was calm, a silent calm that only happened once.
Right before he was exiled, "You want to only look forward and grasp for power? Fine. Then I'll show you a few things that aren't in any spellbook and few things Fiora taught me well. Then you can limp your way forward."
This was far too drastic a path, something that Rike hadn't taken before, but he was pissed, stressed and having an overall horrible day.
His daggers appeared in his hand as he prepared to give her a few lessons about tough love that she would never forget.

Merlin frowned, "Malen and Rike." She said then set Mona down and disappeared. She reappeared in front of Rike, "Stop it." She said quietly, "Both of you stop it." She was looking at Rike, though, "You're letting your emotions rule your actions."
