Keira closed her eyes and sighed. Now she truely felt sorry for Rike, it was the first time in a lng while she wanted to help anyone and yet she was helpless. What could she do? "Rike everything be fine, you'll see. Kaiser's there for you... he's doing what he can and now I'm here. To help you in anyway possible."

Within the grey mist there was a gigantic statue of Monaleth lying upon one side of a giant stone scales and on the other side was a geather, a simple feather that if lifted would barely be felt. Upon greater expection, the beams holding the scales up were enormous arms, on that was muscular and truly masculine and the other was slender and feminine. The staff in the middle was the torso and the foundation were the legs and feet, both clearly contrasting each other. Oddly the mist wouldn't allow Merlin to see the statue's face if it had one at all.
The sounds of footsteps and Merlin's voice bounced around within the background, sometimes melding together to become nothing but sound which stopped just short of the giant scales which were slowly moving up and down.

The two Reapers looked at each other for a long moment before steering her soul towards him, And you are sure you want this one? They asked, looking down at the blades near her wrists, Or the other half...the one that died first? They knew the answer, but without a clear order on what they needed to do, they would drag the simple transaction out for a long while.
Rike looked at her and surprisingly just took her hand and placed it on his shoulder for comfort, his head leaning against her. He didn't speak, but the appreciation could clearly be seen.

Merlin frowned and finally closed her eyes and sighed. Her dress shifted and her her eyes turned black with little specks of white in them until both her dress and her eyes resembled the night sky. A wind curled up from around Merlin and night exploded outward and the smell of nightshade and rain sailed upon it, pushing at the fog, darkening the surroundings. Merlin called upon her and Mona's blood link and this time when she spoke the words resounded down into Mona's core but it wasn't Mona she was addressing, Unia, you have insulted me by taking my child out from under me. She no longer belongs to you fully and you didn't have the manners to speak with her Mistress first. How rude.

Kaiser was quickly looseing patience. However, before he could respond, a small jet black creature shot out of the sky taking hold of Malen's soul. "Please, allow me to retrieve the side you seek." Kaiser smiled a little at this. "Thank god there is a reaper who isn't a pain in the a**... A smarmy little reply came only moments after. "I take offense at that Kaiser." Kaiser shook his head. "Deal with it Karnac. I'll see you on the surface." Kaiser closed his eyes and a small white light materialized in front of him. He gently closed his jaws around it and swallowed.
The familier portal from hell opened a few feet from Malen's body. Kaiser stepped out in his natural from again. He looked haggard and worn. "Malen's soul will be here shortly, brought by one of the afterlife's finest reapers..."

Keira lowered to her knees and put her other arm around him. She smiled gently still a little shock about him touching her, she still wasn't use to this but she was doing the best she can. She sat there quietly and rubbed his back softly.

There was silence as the fog compressed, forming into a thick cloud around the scales until a humanoid form appeared infront of it. The person looked like Monaleth, but clealry wasn't for the fog was her clother as well as her hair. Her skin barely looked solid, She is mine by right for she pledged her very being to me. she replied, as the scales suddenly tilted making Monaleth heavier than the feather for a moment before it returned to the steady balacing act, She cleansed her vampiric blood once the bracers on her arms were returned to their rightful placed therefore she has also broken your hold to her by returning to me. It was brutal logic, but there was no time for leniancy[sp?]. Not now.
She must be judged.

Saia and Cain disappeared immediately once Karnac took hold of the soul, allowing the Scortierian side to go into the depths of hell where it rightful place would be. Meanwhile Rike merely looked at the body of Malen, not really responding to Kaiser's approach accept to show a glimmer of emotion in his eyes.
"The smallest one you mean?" he asked after a few moments. It held no amusement, but it was a start.

The small black shape dropped out of the sky. "I'm only small by choice." Karnac took a few steps forwar until he was on top of Malen. He stared into her eyes for a moment. Suddenly his normal black figure burned a brilliant white. Kaiser snapped a wing up to shade his eyes. "The transfer of life..."
Slowly the light faded away and Malen breathed as though only sleeping, her eyes closed. Karnac stepped away again, retreating until he was by Kaiser's right ankle. Kaiser lowered the wing and spoke to Rike. "She must be turned now Rike. Return her to her vampiric heritage."

You have no jurisdiction here, Unia, she is not back in your home world and you seem to have confused yourself. Vampire blood cannot be cleansed from anyone, she is still one of the noble dead, her blood pact with me has not been cancelled for I feel it still. She said, gliding forward, night closed in around them and the scent, nightshade and rain pervaded even on Mona's astral plane. Twinkling stars above provided the only illumination.

Rike blinked for a comple of minutes, barely registering what was said until he actually saw Malen's stomach move. It was an eerie sight, even though she was alive when she was a Scortierian, but that was drastically differnt. She didn't smell human then...
Human? He actually snapped to after that word rang in his head and cleared his mind in the process. She needs to be turned. he thought, his fangs lengthening as his body began the transformation for he would never have touch her if he was in full control.
Rike was exhausted by the time the transformation was comeplete and watched as Malen's skin was pale once more, "Malen?" he asked finally, watching as she slowly opened her eyes.

She has a bond with you, that I know, but she is my Champion and always will be until her soul rests within the heavens. Unia replied. There is no juristuction when she is of my world. And as the potion within the one known as Malen changed her, it does the same to for 'Monaleth'.
She watched Merlin move towards Her before turning towards the Scales, Her trial is almost over. she finished as the feather somehow became heavier. Her guilt shall be decided in only a matter of moments.

Kaiser nodded, satisfied. He moved away from Rike and Malen. He sat down at the base of the tree by the lake. Karnac perched in the branches above him.

So, the Goddess of Neutrality forces Championship on her Champions. I was unaware of that system. I will fight you for her for she is very precious to me, not as as servant a.k.a Champion but as an ally and dear friend. If she is guilty, it is of being herself.

Keira stood looking at both of them and smiled, Rike would be a lot happier now. She moved away thinking about what had all happened. So it was for sure the C'age wasn't coming back. She had a happy feeling but at the same time it made her feel that of remorse. Maybe knowing with him in her life things would change.
