"Well boys and girls, here we are. Seeing as how we're the first people to get here, I hope you know how to dig yourself an igloo or two. One way to keep warm is to snuggle up to someone else. Or you could just donn pounds upon pounds of blubber and fur. Either way, we're going to freeze our chobbits off... except the girls... and the rest of you guys with small cajones. As for setting up a base, that's not the problem. Prime real estate boys, premade base from those nice people known as pirates. The only trick is how to survive. According to the general information given to the weather is a tad chilly. Today's forecast predicts a chance of blizzards in the late afternoon, with temperatures reaching a high of -10 below, tonight with temps below -50. Buckle up kiddies. You've reached the galaxy's largest icecube...."
Orrin was being completely sarcastic, but he remembered to add one more thing.
"We're not quite there yet. Time for some fun. Anyone scared of some asteroids?"

"First, a nebula, and now an asteroid field," Zendia muttered. "The Empire would be nuts to invade this base," she laughed in a humorless manner. "Well, Rusty, let's see how good the shields are on these here X-wings, yes?" With that, Rusty cranked as much juice as he could into the shields.

I know that there's nothing to defend them from, but still, if you plan on zipping around the asteroid like idiots, you'll risk a court-martial. "Pfft. Court Martial. Technically, you're going to have to stop me, or as my superior officer, you'll catch hell too, Kefka. And I joined the Rebellion as a rebel. If I wanted to be an Imp, I would have joined the imperial navy. Just because you are a higher officer than me don't mean you know any better either," Orrin said, hitting the engines for the asteroids.

Gendis easily weaved around asteroids towards the growing white ball of ice, bringing all energy to the engines. "Sorry, commander. We'll save you a patch of ice for yeh when we get there."
His fighter screached through space, or would have if sound was possible in space, and thoroughly pleased with the speed and maneuverability of the craft, he pushed it still farther. "You wanna make bets now?"

"Plus, what will they do to us anyway? Lock us up on a very hostile planet? Kick us out? Hurt me worse, please..."
