Lacy nodded to the man's words. A man with nothing better to do with his life often turned to fighting the blight. It had happened often enough with men who could not make it through the training of the Warder program. It was a pittiful waste of life.
Lacy's eyes never left the man's face as he talked and she studed his face. It showed nothing. "I'm sure you'll be bonded. If you want to fight in the North. I suggest you find a Green to bond you. Many go on raids there. I like to go myself. Jaunts through the blight are such fun." Lacy winked. "However the teaching I know nothing of. I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction in a few days when they learn you are here. The master of arms might be away if his Aes Sedai is gone from the Tower." Lacy paused. "I sense you won't tell me much about your past," Lacy's smile faded slightly, "Don't worry. I won't pry. I don't tell much about my past either. But that leaves only selected topics to talk about." Lacy arched an eyebrow at the man towering above her.

"A green you say?" Kederaji could have sworn he remembered her telling him to avoid greens, but whatever. "With all due respect, my past is my own, Aes Sedai. Not many would understand it, which is why no one knows it. As for conversation, I'm afraid I'll be a rather boring conversationalist. All I know is tactics and the sword strapped to my hip." Kederaji eyed the woman for a moment. She was definitely more formidable than he thought she was. He probably wouldn't mind fighting at her side if asked, but those things were all out of his control. He almost called it the will of the Empress, until realizing she wasn't alive. This world would take a while for him to get used to.

Lacy laughed. "I think you would be well suited for a Green. Not a young one however. They rarely appreciate their Warders enough." Lacy listened to the rest of his words. "I know my own past is varied and one scandal after another. That is why none knows mine and those who remember it are old enough to know not to bring it up. An Aes Sedai's past is her own."
Lacy let her eyes drop to the sword that was neatly covered to conseal the herons on the outside. "As for tactics, I can discuss tactics ranging from calvery formations to why the Aiel attack the way they do." Lacy smiled. "I also have an intrest in swords. After all. A Green's life is war with the shadow." Lacy smiled a very feline smile.

Kederaji was intrigued, both by the smile, and by the Aes Sedai's words. "The Aiel you say? I've always wondered why they attack as they do. They're a worthy opponent, but they fight strangely. Kederaji looked down at his sword. Interested in swords, you say. Heheh. Well, this sword I guarantee is unlike any you've seen.

Lacy smiled. At last something that would pique the man's intresting. "The Aiel attack similar to a wolf pack. Hitting the flanks first. There are some wonderful books in the library on it. Written just recently. The Aiel culture is a very intresting one. I've studied the books a little and still make little since of it. Its very complex you could say."
Lacy's eyes wondered yet again to the sword. She was willing to bet that it was power wrought. "Maybe. But I've seen some swords in my day. I spent years along the blight border fighting against shadowspawn and swords have a way of finding their way north at one point in time or another." Lacy had fought on the border for twenty years before returning to the Tower. "I'm sure it has an intresting story to tell if it is what I think it is. Very rare as well." Lacy wished Aes Sedai could forge weapons for their own Gaidin but the Three Oaths took care of that. Lacy reached out a finger as if to touch the sword then brough her hand back to her. "I'm sure you story is as intresting as the sword at your hip. However, that story is not one I'll ask."
Lacy's gray eyes looked back up to the darker ones then to the sun barely showing on the horizon. "Its rather late and I'm starving. Care to join me for a meal? I know a wonderful place in the city. Its called the Broken Axe." Lacy looked back at his face while waiting for a response.

"Their culture is probably very interesting to some, but it's their tactics that intrigue me the most. I've seen them hit the flanks before, and I've seen the manuver used against them. It cuts both ways, really. They didn't expect it." He saw her eyes wander to the sword, and wondered exactly what she'd figured out about it. "It was my father's and his father's before him. A wonderful piece of work, perfectly balanced." When her hand moved to touch it, his hand instinctively gripped the handle. Nobody touched his sword. He was rather protective of this heirloom.
"A meal? I would be honored, Aes Sedai. I should probably go change, though."

Lacy watched as his hand gripped his sword protectively. "Family heirlooms have a way of revealing their secrets slowly. This one however might have revealed its already." Lacy smiled a secret smile. "This blade never needs sharpening either I'll wager." Lacy waited a moment to see if he would confirm her statement but went on before he got a chance. "I believe this sword is power wrought. There are only a few and very rare. It will never break or rust. Although I'm sure shadowspawn blood could reak havoc on the metal. Before the Three Oaths Aes Sedai were allowed to make weapons. Now we can not. Although it would be wonderful if we could make them for the Gaidin." Lacy shrugged for what could not be.
As his suggestion of changing clothing Lacy nodded. "That might be a wise decision." Lacy laughed softly. "I'll acompany you on the walk. I have no reason to make that climb to my own chambers. So I'd rather not climb all the steps to get there." Lacy's apartments were located in the Green Halls, which were rather high in the Tower. "That is if you don't mind me waiting outside while you change." Lacy made the statment into a question of sorts.

Kederaji nodded and lead the way, heading back for his quarters. Unlocking the door, he stepped inside and pulled it shut. First he rooted around in his trunk to make sure everything was safe. He then quickly changed into less sweaty clothing, making sure the ravens didn't show, and returned, with the sword still on his belt. "You were right about the sword," he said to the Aes Sedai. "It never needs sharpening, and it never rusts. It was power-wrought indeed, and it is very old. Many stories to tell, and nobody would believe half of them. If you're ready to go, then let us be off."

As Lacy stood outside she could hear the man inside moving around. She was used to waiting and stood outside observing the few Warders who were training students. The late classes were reserved for those who made trouble. Most of the time both the students and the teachers were in trouble, if only with certin Aes Sedai.
When Kederaji came out, Lacy smiled. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be." Lacy walked a short way in silence. "That is how many stories are. Only those who lived them would believe. Other wise it wouldn't be a good story." Lacy cut her eyes at the sword again on the man's hip. "I'm sure you are very attached to it. There are not many like it left and if it was pasted down through the family that makes it even more valuable, Especially if one who owned it was a famous blademaster from where ever you come." Lacy still had yet to hear an accent.
Exiting the Tower Grounds, Lacy motioned to a nearby inn with a sign of a broken axe. "There it is. Good eating and wonderful enviorment. Most of the Tower folk come here when they tire of eating in the Tower kitchens." Lacy turned towards the inn. "The steak is to die for if the right cook is working today." Lacy hoped that it would be Cy that was working. The woman did wonders with food.

It had taken Kakashi some time to locate the kitchens in the Tower and almost half as long to convince the head cook to spare some food for him. He had walked out of the kitchens with a hassled grin, a loaf of bread in one hand, and small plate full of meats and cheese. Luckily enough though, he was able to remember where his room was and quickly sought it out so that he might eat quickly then get back to practicing in the training yards.
Once back in his room, Kakashi sat upon the bed with the plate on his lap, belt knife in his right hand and the bread in his left. He cut the bread in half then down the middle before layering the meats and cheese on it. While eating his mind wandered towards his home many miles away. He missed it and his father as well as the friends he had there. He would have to write to them soon to tell them he had made it safely. It was a moment before he realized he was licking his fingers, the food gone. He blinked then shrugged and picked up his quarter staff and once again headed out into the training yard.
Some minutes later, Kakashi was once again practicing his staff fighting against a wooden dummy. The staff was a spinning blur in his hands, stopping only to land sharply against the dummy before spinning away and attacking the other side within the blink of an eye. As he moved, his hands, arms, and staff all one and the same, he once again became lost in thought. It would be a long time before he would stop training today.

Mercuryangel "Well...I think I've missed a couple of things...You..next to Azalea...thank you for picking up the splinters of the door...I hope you weren't the one who broke it...or you." She added towards the man sitting next to Katerine. She gave a small smile which soon faded into the mask.
She only teased them because, in all honesty, it was quite beyond her why any sister should resort to breaking down her door simply to ask an audience with the Amyrlin. "Can someone tell me what happened? And who's with the Amyrlin? "
Hearing the Keeper stirring, Katerine looked to her and put a softer look on her face. She was still trying to figure out what had happened for herself. Unfortunately when she was thinking, a distant look would come to her face. Giving Mercury a nod, she turned and gave her a smile. "Yes, there has been quite a bit of activity in your room while you were asleep. Apparently a man forced his way here. We do not know his intentions as of now, but the questioners will soon find out. As for the Amyrlin, Shanoa went to go tell her of your condition and see that she is alright. The think the man meant to go to the Amyrlin, but came to you instead." Once she was done answering the Keeper's questions, Katerine moved closer and spoke quietly near her ear. "I believe the man in the doorway gentled the man who forced his way here. I do not think it wise that fact be known to many though." She straightened and gave a slight smile. Katerine knew that she needed to ask about Nine, but she didn't know if this was the right time.

"I see..." she said that not only as a comment to the public, but as a thank you for giving her the confirmation that one of the men was a channeller who had gentled someone.
"Well...I suppose it's alright now...that's most of my questions..now then, whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?"
She gestured towards both men, but it was mostly directed at the man next to Katerine, since the other seemed preoccupied.

((I don't know the next time Lathanam will be on, but I will ask if I can rp his character for him.))
Katerine nodded her head for she knew Mercury was thanking her. Looking over to Nine, she motioned for him to come over to her. He stood and walked over next to her. Katerine could see that he was a little nervous even if he was trying to hide it. Looking to Mercury, Katerine nodded her head toward Nine.
"This is Nine. He wishes to become a warder in training, but we have a slight problem. He is a channler, but doesn't know how to use his abilites very well. The Swordmaster wanted to get permission to train him in the sword and maybe find a teacher for his other abilities."
Katerine gave Nine a warm smile. She knew that Mercury would probably allow it, there were plenty of male channlers who were warders. Her own warder could channel.
