He willed himself not to shed a tear. He was king, he was the creator, the paladmin, the chatter box, he was -
- burying his face in her hair as they embraced to hide the few that escaped him anyway. In this world and the next, ten or twenty or a million lifetimes away, he imagined the smell of her hair would always soothe him, and he took breaths of it to calm himself down. His heart, which until now had been settled and constant, began to beat faster as the impending sense of departure began to full take effect. "Your best is all I need," he told her softly as he held her close. "And if it means anything at all, I won't forget you either. Promise on the rose - heh, s-sorry for the cliche."
But he had to make himself smile in spite of her tears, and he tried to coax her into relaxing even if it was futile from the beginning, resting his hand between her wings as he leaned his head down. "No matter where you go or who you are or what happens, know that I love you, my dear sweet Loony." His other hand moved to brush away her tears. "Now don't let my last look at you be so sad~"

Rex raised a brow, a very very curious look from one 'shadow' to the next. He seemed rather...confused. Why was everyone hugging all of a sudden? He had perked up when he saw Merope search his pockets, did he have something? Did he? No? Sad raptor was sad! But it was okay, because Amrita had promised him sandwiches. He grinned that creepy yet someone cute grin of his, a little flicker of his tail. Okay, maybe he would hug someone, maybe, but he better get sandwiches for it! all the other shadows around

It was like a blow to her lungs, a strange aching that made her exhale slowly, trying to be as strong as she always tried to be. This was the childhood friend that she had known since she was taller than him - destroying her gardens. But at the same time, he wasn't. This was a King in a world that was slowly disinigrating around her, a memory who would only last until she was awoken.
Breathing another sigh out, a red tint showing on her face, she mirrored him, hand on her heart.
"Your words ease an aching heart. I do . . . love you too." She said, very quietly, just loud enough for him to him. "You, and the other you. I am sure that the one you truly remember would be happy to hear that."Dropping her hands lightly, she grabbed one of his, liken to the little one before hand, but in a short movement, thumbing over the back of it, she gave him a sincere smile.
"I cannot say goodbye to you, because it would hurt the most. So I will say, until we meet again, mm?" She admitted after a few more minutes, looking at the hand. "I can only hope for the same words to be told to me when I go home." She finished, before dropping his hand lightly, a slow ache forming from doing such.
Giving him a final look, she awarded the King with another smile, a heartfelt one. "I have to go home now, but, I will hope for your sake." She finished, before giving him the softest hug, and turning to the three she knew would understand the look. The "Let's Go Home" look.
"I will never forget this." She let out, before going to walk toward the exit, feeling this was a good enough place to end. With a warm heart, she wanted to home, and confront her own personal demon - he needed a good talking to.

This was not the oblivion she was promised. This wasn't a sudden lack of existence after what seemed like lifetimes of faux suffering. This was a cruel dragging out of the end, this brief flickering of a hope of some kind of happiness.
Taima was okay with that. She wasn't much for good-byes, but seeing as this would--probably--be the last one ever, she could endure a ruffling of hair and one last bone-crushing hug. She huffed as she straightened herself, shaking her head as she looked around at the remnants of the Blue kingdom. "You guys," she said, a serious look on her face, "are the worst. We are the most devious, horrible, backstabbing bunch of people to ever be put in the same room. Our combined list of crimes could go on for miles. We are the most dysfunctional family since the Mansons."
And then she grinned. "And I wouldn't have it any other way. It's been not an honor, but a genuine pleasure. To Blue," she said, raising an imaginary cup, "to all that we could have been, and all that we turned out to be."

Mjoll nodded towards Lifen when she said that's how guys were. And sighed as Bastion went back to ignoring the world. Well at least it was a happy ending in most ways.
There was a small blush when Bastion kissed the side of her head after whispering into her ear. "Eavesdropping is rude Bastion." Just go back to smelling Mjoll's hair, it'll be okay.
Mjoll sighed before returning the kiss on his cheek.

She couldn't help but start to tear up a little bit, just giving Mengyao a weak smile and nod before stepping away. There was nothing more to say... no one else to see or say goodbye to.
'I guess this is it... but... it'll be ok somehow. Hopefully. Maybe someone will remember me, or we'll all get extremely lucky and this won't be the end.' Wishful thinking for sure, but with how everything else had gone, Imryn wanted to keep that little kernel of hope alive that there might be one more force in any universe that would take a bit more pity on them.
She looked down at her wrist with a smile, closing her eyes tight and holding her wrist to her chest with a deep sigh, letting her memories comfort her while finally giving herself up and letting go.

It was so excruciatingly hard not to give herself over to full on sobbing, the kind she found herself so often enacting around Mort simply because he elicited such intense emotions in her. But the girl managed to take in a few gasping gulps of air and begin to compose herself. Only to lose it all once more when he stuttered and then called her by that silly pet name he'd given her. Carefully she let go of his neck and found her feet, sniffling and rubbing at her face like a child to rid herself of her tears for him. Despite the sadness she found herself laughing and once more the turned a bright smile up to him. Her hands opened to show what left of her rose that she carefully tucked back into his breastpocket with a stilted sigh. "For you, anything." Belladonna told him with one last quick kiss and one last bright smile. "I love you too, Mellow." And she did, across every lifetime, she knew she always would.

"Hello?" A certain scraggly Death Assistant floated around in nothingness, finally noticing the lack of well, anyone around. He paused. "Anyone here?"
Shrugging, Mark worked on his makeshift computer screen - his own creation in this world really - still monitoring the remaining signs of Excalibur. There was another flicker, signalling the true collapse of this world, as all the memories finally collapsed and closed in, disappearing entirely. Mark's own created items began to stir and shake, his little junkyard.
"... And that's my cue to run." Working quickly, he made sure all his remote copies were safe and sound. After ejecting one final disc, he paused, at the rabidly flashing screen.
DELETE ALL MEMORY BACKUPS?
[ YES ] [ NO ]
He really shouldn't. He would get in like, so much trouble and stuff. Not to mention top secret information. He really shouldn't but-
- [ NO ]
In his defense, he had gotten kind of attached to bits and pieces of this world after working on this project for so long. So they were fragments, but realistically these fragments were prize memories and memories and should go back to where they belonged, after all.
ENTER NEW PASS FOR MEMORY RESTORATION:
Mark paused. His was about to enter his usual code, until he saw something floating nearby, a stack of them, simple black cards with a number on it. Well, why not. He entered the digits quickly, considering the time sensitive situation and then pressed ENTER. With a rather sort of sad farewell, Mark moved over to eject his own player, pausing only to pat his computer fondly, just once, as his creation floated further away.
Something smacked him in the face as he was leaving. "Ow! What the- a headset? Seriously?"
In return, the headset began to crackle.
"- And if it means anything at all, I won't forget you either-"
"-to all that we could have been, and all that we turned out to be-"
"-It is the trials we face that make us who we are-"
"Huh." Mark scratched his head as his fake body too began dissolving, "What do you know, these actually work."

In a strange space of non-existence, a single computer, floating in nothingness, still remained, until it hit a literal wall. The end of this realm. It blipped a little, in protest, and then cracked in half.
Like an egg bursting, it released all its remaining Miasma as they flew all directions, away and out of this world, taking with it the memories it had stored.
The broken screens of the computer crackled and then quickly dissolved, changing to a simpler, more manageable form.
There is always a choice.
OOC FRAGMENTS, MEMORIES AND YOU- The "computer" has released all FRAGMENTS in the form of memories into the real Halloween/ Deus/ Horsemen world! It means YOUR FRAGMENT CHARACTER can now be 'remembered' by the actual character. In theory, they sort of "assimilated". It simply occurs to them in a dream, where your character meets your fragment character and they speak to each other. - This is entirely optional. If you would never like your character to remember, stored memory simply didn't make it sad - This will need to be a SOLO for existing characters and done in their respective guilds (Halloween, Deus, or Horsemen tents) - For non existing characters, if and when you get your character, you may do a SOLO for them at any point in time for their fragment character memories - After the dream rp you "assimilate" those character memories, as mentioned, and the fragments get to live a new life as you. * - See, who said we didn't have happy endings?* Please keep in mind the dominant memory and personality is your original character. They remember what happened but they are also aware those memories are not real so please please please please don't make us regret our decisions and have them as PART of their memories. Basically, you do not have split personalities, you just remember as you might have been once in another lifetime so far away. Kind of like playing a computer game or watching a good movie.
