Miles Libertatis SCRATCH
⋘≪The Raven of Blackwing≫⋙ ◥By My Lady's Leave◤ Miles looked away for a few moments as his blush slowly faded. When Noira opened her bag a little Scratch poked his head out more, getting in a more comfortable position. When Miles finally looked back he listened to Noira's question. "Er, well, do you have anywhere you need to be?" He asked her. In truth he did want to spend more time with her though he didn't want to keep her if she had things to do. ◥For My Lady's Sake◤

Miles Libertatis SCRATCH
⋘≪The Raven of Blackwing≫⋙ ◥By My Lady's Leave◤ Miles paused in thought. The Death Nightclub was the first thing that came to his mind as a popular spot for people to hang out, but Miles wasn't exactly the partying type and more importantly it didn't seem like Noira was either. A place she might like...? She didn't come to Death City often so maybe she would appreciate some of the aesthetic points? "Would you perhaps like to go to Starlight Point?" He asked, a small smile on his face. He could certainly say he liked the place; sometimes he would go there to think and sometimes just to watch the sunset. It was probably one of the most beautiful views of Death City around. ◥For My Lady's Sake◤

⋘≪The Raven of Blackwing≫⋙ ◥By My Lady's Leave◤ Miles nodded, his smile widening slightly. "Very well then," he told her, standing up slowly. He turned towards the door and held it open for her. "Shall we?" He asked. ◥For My Lady's Sake◤ [[exit to Starlight Point]]

(bump) Illo was feeling a lot better by the next day. His recovery time was always fast, mostly out of necessity from his training; being that it was the larger portion of his life spent in the throes of perilous combat and hellacious training, it seemed logical that proportionally his body had become more accustomed to this type of rapid turn-around and punishment than conceivably any other. Still, he couldn't get going without some tea and yoga. He'd already had the yoga done, and this place had mediocre tea, so here it is: a good morning monk blend; stir lightly.
"Ah, yes, hello, I'll have the Gunpowder." Blank stare equals try again. "...Uh, black tea?" Lightbulb, nod, fetchy-fetch; sigh and tingle on scalp, morning sun to whisk away dusty thoughts of yesterday; truth to hide and believe it be so, Illo sits comfortable at zero.

Emit ▂ ▂ ▂ ▂▂▂▂ ▂ ▂ ▂ Time stands still, the way it did before. [Threat Level: Very dangerous] [Human appearance] [Demon/Shinku] [Masked/Unmasked]
The cold wind blew as emit sat above the coffee shop in a ...revealing jacket holding a small bag. Looking both ways, he let out a sigh of relief. "Finally, no more errands to run and no more missions to do. I can just sit here and relax." He said before smiling, he opened the small bag before catching a smell of the delicious chocolate. Placing his index and thumb inside to bag pulling out one piece of chocolate, he slowly placed it inside his mouth before letting out a large exaggerated sigh. It was delicious, it definitely went with the smell. "Oh my gosh, its so good." He then stop and turned both ways making sure no one heard him say that. He then continued eating until there was 4 pieces left. "Yep, just going to save you few." He said before sealing the bag, he then leaped from the building and headed off. ((Exit)) Insanity Level: 0% OOC: Its like i'm sleepwalking

Illo and Mira had been talking most of the trip over, finding that they had far more in common than had previously been thought by either of them. Illo talked mostly about what he knew, which was scripture and martial arts, and before they knew it the cafe was ready to swallow them whole.
The place was bumping. Teams meeting, some pairs for the first time, couples talking about whatever they had for breakfast or whatever boring story they had to tell about the day, villains scheming, jocks armwrestling, and now two damaged souls looking for a quite corner in which to stick band-aids on each other. They would find it as the only corner open. The monk's reputation, however, ensured that they would have the place to themselves as upon recognising the Phoenix nearly all the students in the cafe would rush through the doors in a thunderous clamour.
"I guess we'll have plenty of room..." The monk's face was rather blank confused as to why this had happened. Across from Mira Illo looked a little more stable than that, though, and seemed to shrug off the exodus. "So what about you? I feel like I've been talking a lot..."

NPC Mira Naigus Intelligence Bureau Headmaster "I've been doing the talking for quite far more than I would love to these days. It's nice to be quiet and listen once in a while."Mira stated, more over her job demanded her to be the one controlling the speech, either to get what they needed, instruct as much as they could, or in these last cases, minimize the damage. It was nice to get away from the routine. With everyone leaving the place, Mira sighed. The monk sure knew how to make an entrance. But that couldn't be helped. Not unless the monk was willing to give away his status and try to look like one of the rest of the "mortals" here. But asking him to do such thing was the same as asking Mira to become the next enlightened. Which wasn't going to happen. Not with all the blood on her hands. Both, innocent and guilty alike. She was a stained soul. "My job usually involve me doing most of the talking, trying to smother you so that you only get to listen if that's what It's needed to reach a goal. Or to encourage you to talk your brains out if we consider you could fetch us something of actual use. My labor isn't as noble as yours."Mira chuckled, sitting by the corner. "We're often called the ones with deal with DMWA's dirty business. They've gotten creative with nicknames lately. I didn't knew I could be considered a shinigami."This was mostly since some of the bureau nicknamed her the angel of death given she was often displayed to give the bad news regarding losses on the battlefield. Not that she actually had shinigami powers at all.

"That's probably true," said the monk giving a slight wave to the group of waitresses cowering, deliberating on who to send into the lion's den, in the adjacent corner, "but at least you don't have to console demon families; otherwise you'd already be sick of my name." He was kidding, but only a little.
"... I take it it's a DMA crowd tonight." Illo pointed toward the window as the last few students would be seen silhouetted against the retreating sun. "They think because I kill some demons that I'm on a genocide mission. ... I don't know how noble that is, but I was told it'll help me reach the Truth." At this time the waitress came over and shakily took down Illo's order for black tea and whatever Mira wanted.
"So... What would you like to talk about? Something other than work I hope."

NPC Mira Naigus Intelligence Bureau Headmaster "I'm not sure I could keep up with that"Said about visiting demon families. "Call me old fashioned, racist if you want to. But even to this day. I don't like witches, and I don't like Demons. Allies or Foes, that's something Cynthia and I can relate to. It's just that I'm still willingly to follow orders and work with them if I must. They are old wounds that time has not closed."The waitress would give Mira a slice of carrot cake and a cup of coffee. She handled it better than tea at least so far. When the conversation tried to be a little more friendly on Illo's suggestion, she would pause for a minute, trying to find a topic, surprised to see just how much her job had consumed her. It had become practically her life. Options were really narrow. "Well...I bought a cactus... it's the only plant and pet that had lasted this long in my apartment."She commented, trying to add something non work related, tho the detail of this was sort of embarrassing.

Rather than take up some kind of grand social stand on why it was important to view all lifeforms as the same in their potential for good and evil, especially the relationship between the humans and demons, Illo agreed to disagree. He didn't even bring up the Gita passage he was thinking of! It seemed the two were becoming fast friends in this way, as to disagree in a civil manner was the keystone of any enduring friendship. Perhaps the tea had helped this.
"A cactus, huh?" Illo gave a bemused smirk as he set his cup down. "It's used to surviving without water for a long time; so it should be able to handle your schedule." The monk took some of his patented licorice bark out from his sleeve. "I heard," he said setting some on the table, "the best way to tell if you're ready for a relationship is to see if you can keep a houseplant alive. Once that's done you move on to a pet, and if you can make that pet happy you're ready." Yes, even the great Phoenix must make small talk every now and again.
