Raven stood their, silently in shock over the Gyarados's reaction. He hid it well of course, growing up in a noble house it wasn't uncommon that hiding even the smallest emotion would be necessary. He'd expected the Gyarados would be pleased with the outcome...but this was...blatantly ridiculous! Clearly the beast was quite vain...at least in regards to that particular feature.
Yes, this Gyarados was rare in hue, and certainly strong...but it's personality clashed heavily with Raven's own, even if the beast didn't realize it.
The pleasure and gratitude was clear enough in his tone and expression. The Pokemon's behaviour was so exaggerated it would take a fool not to notice. Likely it was either thanking him...or asking best how to...either way, now would be an opportune time to ask a favor...but what?
Requesting the creature join him was out of the question...for several reasons. He'd already found the bone, and thus completed his mission here; as well, it was doubtful the Gyarados could help him with his second task. It seemed unlikely for the red beast to be familiar with a pack of Sneasel in the next area...so what then?
Putting the comb away while he thought, the child furrowed his brow. Well...
...he supposed a trainer could always use a powerful ally. Just because his personality clashed with that of the Gyarados, didn't mean the Pokemon wouldn't be aware of those more...suited to his nature. It was a shot in the dark, but it was worth asking; but how to word it?
Gah, this was all giving him a headache! This was why he preferred battle. It was simple and straightforward. Sure there were rules of engagement, but you never had to watch your words...you didn't even have to talk if you didn't want to! Just let your emotions show through your blade...
The boy let out a slow breath. He'd come to a conclusion, and it was the simplest answer of all...he shrugged. Ultimately he hadn't done it for a reward, so it was better to let the Gyarados himself decide what was most fitting.

">Child or Adult, Man or Woman, Pokemon or Human, it matters not who fall beneath my evil gaze! True evil has no preference!<" The Cacnea declared, placing one thorn covered arm against his...chest? ">That is the way of Cacnea Choas!!!<"
The thorn covered plants eyes seemed to glint as the girl called her order. She wanted to kill him outright? Kid had a lot to learn about real evil. Why let your enemy meet their end quickly, when you could watch them slowly wither in agony first?
The Cacnea cackled again; this time the sound was darker, more malicious. Oh this Pokemon knew evil...a sort completely different from Victoria's. Her's was in truth the true way of chaos, his was more torturous and planned; but Cacnea Chaos sounded better then anything more accurate he'd managed to come up with.
">Lets see if you can deal with the agony brought on by my searing needle!<" The Cacnea called out, extending both arms. Slowly the tips of each thorn began glowing red hot, dripping a thick black toxin which sizzled as it dropped onto the ground. Grinning maliciously from ear to ear, the villainous Cacnea released an attack of his own...a barrage of Poison Sting!

Claudandas couldn't stop the Gligar, Lindbergh had already turned in mod flight now to target the Nidoran who had marked her!
[Let's see if YOU like this!] The fly scorpions tail swung down below her, perppering the ground with Poison Stung, the Gligar cackling all the while!
[Stop that!] The cat yelled upward, having to duck back at the poison stings, but now quickly tried to reassertion his weight, he leaned in, good and close. [Listen to me...]
He Growled lowly, not a physical attack, but a warning. [I don't want to hurt someone... Who has already lost someone by harming them further... Whether or not you have fight in you... I speak, as a resident if this island who will attest this girl has gone to lengths to help pokemon you would not believe!]
[This is not a fight you can win. Speak to us... And we will listen]

The Gyarados would seemed in complete shock at the fact that the human still didn't understand what he was asking as he saw the shrug. He knew no other way to make it clear, and the boy wasn't of the type whom had his pokemon out to help with the communications. That left so many options, for one, as Raven had not wanted to go with him ...the Gyarados had no wish to go with him either. A child even one as fantastic with a clipper as him didn't suit his thoughts of what a trainer for such a creature as him should be.
So, what to give. The answer was actually pretty simple in his mind, especially after seeing the sword. There wasn't a lot of things in this world that could compare to a dragon's scale in term of strength and durability. And if this child had such precision with a blade, surely he would find need of such a strong surface as he turns around swiftly and pluck from his side one of his long powerful scales.
He would lower it towards him ..and leave it at his feet. A dragon's scale ...before the pokemon would dive underwater again. He had as far as he was concern return his debt and with a scale as glorious as his ...there would be no one would dare to balk at the such of such finer.
He had done the boy a greater service than anything he could have possible asked was the thought that ran through the Gyarados's mind as he vanished from view.
Raven was offered a Dragon Scale.

Raven quirked a brow as the Gyarados left. Striding to the offered scale slowly, he knelt down and picked it off the ground. A dragon's scale...he wasn't quite sure what he could do with such an item, but likely there was a use for it he was as of yet not aware. Some Pokemon could likely use such an item...and didn't many ancient legends speak of treasures made from pieces of a dragon?
Mmm...perhaps the Professor would have some clue.
Well, whatever came of it would. The Gyarados was gone now, and his path was clear.
Placing the scale into the pouch with his remaining PokeBall, the boy placed both hands on the legs of the Sneasel and continued forward. She'd been curiously quiet during the whole incident...but he'd left her waiting long enough. It was time to take her home...to find her home.

(5 - 4 + 11 - 9 = 3dmg)
Aella and Victoria was both shocked as the needles ripped through her wind to embed themselves in her shoulder. She winced in pain, as she saw that they sunk all the way pass the barb ends ...but not enough to infect her with it's poison. Her air slash ripping the ground to either side of the pokemon.
This was the first time she had actually gotten injured as her ears went up in astonishment ...since the fight with the Pawniard.
Aella paws lightly at the bits of needles stuck within her ..she wouldn't be easily pulling them out. For that was the way of Cactus needles, and she whimper lightly at the pain of it.
Victoria wasn't sure what to say as her rage started to bubble up. To see injury of her pokemon, and by such a pathetic thing. Anyone with sense would have immediately went on the defensive. Called for a moment to step down and see reason, but she was beyond that as she points again.
"Try it one more time, Counter-attack." "Use Air slash."
The girl was determine to see this Cacnea killed as she got some horribly feeling that she was being laughed at for her failure. For the fact, that she had so far been unable to bring that pokemon to it's knees ...as she suddenly had a wish that she had a pokeball to try and take this one with her.
Afterall, she felt a faint resonates with this pokemon and that would have been enough if she had had the needed item.

(Never)
The Nidoran twist as she yells further.
Her will to attack was diminished by that growl and by the pain of the sting, but she wasn't about to silently go down. She had made a promise, and she intended to keep it ...even if it was to her death as she would push her hardest to try and free herself completely of the Purrloin. One of her feet would come up to try and scratch him in the struggle ...she was down, but not out, and she was going to make him understand that.
Nothing anyone said or did, was going to change her mind ...about her new objective in life. She would destory, kill, maim all humans and she wasn't going to stop until she had succeed in that endeavor.

((.....alright, it's time to clear this up once and for all. It's actually been gnawing at me for over a year, but I never felt the need to actually point this out till now. So let me say this loud and clear LunLun...))
((POISON STING IS A PHYSICAL ATTACK!))
(5 - 4) + (11 - 11) = 1 DMG
((....also lazy post cause I'm sleepy.))
The Cacnea paid the girl's anger no heed, nor showing any true interest in the Emolga's pain. It was as of yet, insignificant compared to what he intended to inflict on her. His pleasure was in the poison. Death slow and agonizing. Watching them as they were whittled down to almost nothing, then allowing them to slip into deaths merciful embrace.
Death was not a punishment, but a release in his eyes.
All this in mind, the Cacnea's barrage never let up for a second. Even after the first few needles found their way into the Emolga's skin, he continued on with his barrage of Poison Sting!

Ryuu was happy that he had managed to defeat his opponent. Despite the odds, he had managed to win. With that win, he had grown stronger.
The pair had entered the next room, and Riku looked around. There was the first piece of her mission, the Chrono stone. Picking it up and placing it in her pack, she also went up to the pokemon egg. It was interesting and she wondered what kind of pokemon was inside. Now was not the time to stand and think about it. Though part of her mission was over, she highly doubted her Professor would be pleased that the second pokemon she had obtained was still in egg form. Thus she needed to go out and find another pokemon and capture it. Placing the pokemon egg securely in her pack, she gave Ryuu a quick hug. The girl was proud that he had become stronger. The pair left the temple and began to keep going farther into the island.

As Riku removed the egg, she would hear the faintest click. The pedestal would begin to descend into the floor, and the room would begin to rumble. The next moment, from out of the darkness, a giant boulder would appear...and it was heading straight for her!
The girl was going to have to move...and move fast!

The young sneasel was too quiet as Raven would only then notice that she was actually biting on her paw to stifle the giggles that threaten to bubble forth. She had understood it all, and had hidden in the shadows of a rock to keep from being seen. Her first impression was that he would eat her, but now, now ...after listening she was simply trying to keep the laughter down.
There was no sense in letting him think that she is insane as he would once ore pick her up and off they would go. The Sneasel failing laughing once she was assured of her place with him.
With the Gyarados out of the way Raven would backtrack upon the path once more. The place where the sneasel had run in a pack and driven him to run away from them. Though the question would remain, did they sit and wait for him ...would they wait around by the water's edge after hearing the scream of the Gyarados, and it's tortured roars.
As his feet would touch that of the stoney path he would find that they were indeed gone, but that wasn't all. His path itself had actually changed as he came out in a area full of cactus ...it was true that he had been near one the first time he had come through, but this was a sea of them. Cactus as far as the eye could see ...their thorny hides threatening to cut and stab into vunerable flesh as they stood only a few inches from each other ..all the way around.
Raven had quite literally entered a catcus patch of gigantic size.
Which meant, somehow between the time he had left the water's edge and the time he first put foot on the desolate crater the area had changed as he stood at the bottom once more. Though one that seemed to be in a different direction.
The Crater of Desolation

(( Oh, I had a feeling it would never be that easy xD ))
Riku saw that a giant boulder was heading straight towards her. Geez, it was like one of those old adventure movies where the explorer found a treasure and once the treasure is obtained, a trap is triggered. Groaning, she quickly recalled Ryuu to his pokeball and then hobbled towards the entrance as fast as she could.

Raven looked up, casting the Sneasel an odd glance...though she wouldn't be able to see it. So apparently something about all that had been rather funny had it? Now he wondered if he'd really have wanted to understand the Gyarados or otherwise.
Well, that was no longer here nor there. The beast was gone, and they had returned from whence they had came...sort of. It was a cactus patch...a big one.
At times like this, Raven was quite glad that the only piece of his body he left exposed was his face. Though one had to wonder how often his cloak might catch on the various cacti. He'd just need to be careful he supposed...
Turning sideways to make himself a tad smaller, the boy began to carefully make his way through the patch. Hopefully, he wouldn't encounter anything out here. Battling would be...tricky.

Hobbling it would seem, was nowhere near quick enough for a proper escape from the temple. Though mercifully Riku would manage to gain some distance at first, the boulder would soon catch up to her, slamming into her back.
After that, the child would find herself assailed by darts which hadn't been their previously...thankfully none seemed to be poisoned.
Next would be the pit full of Seviper, one managing to leap high enough to slash her with it's bladed tail.
Lastly, and worst of all, near the entrance to the temple...she would trip. Only by the grace of Acreus and the fact she'd fallen close to the wall saved her from being completely crushed by the boulder. The one upside to a round boulder in a square hallway.
When at last Riku reached the outside, the girl would be heavily battered, bruised, and otherwise injured. One more, and she was certainly done for.

((really, it always looks so special))
Yet, this time the blade of wind would cut through ....as surely as any sword as it would leave deep furrows in the ground like blades.
Victoria chuckles darkly.
"True evil know no mercy, and leaves no chances for surrender or rescue." "It's only poser that believe in torture, because, to torture an opponent is to say that they have worth."
"And everything is worthless in the eyes of true evil."
The girl pronounce as she realized that she sounded just a bit insane in her speech as ...Aella stopped her attack and looked at her. The looked at her a bit nervously. It was kind of hard not to get caught up in this dark aura and express things best lost in the darkness as the pokemon's tail went down.
She didn't even have to look to know that she had killed the pokemon, but still ...was this her trainer that was talking about evil with a pokemon that wanted to be a villian.
A sweat drop would go down the side of her face. There was some silliness in her trainer afterall ...as the girl would notice that look and look away. A bluish on her face, she hadn't meant to be caught at such a bad acting game.
Afterall, role playing had been a favorite game of hers when she was back home. And because, of how own preferences she had always played the villian. It was just a shame that now, her play was real as the Emolga's ears went down.
It's death had been real, even if the part of the villain ...Victoria had played had not. The girl would only kick some dust on the corpse before she continued onwards.
Her hand going to pull out the needle that had embedded itself in Aella's shoulder. Not a nice thing to have to do, but necessary to keep the poison from seeping into her.
