His pants were who knows how many years old and weren't even originally his. They were warm enough back in Mist, but he had a feeling they wouldn't do him much good in Snow. Getting a warmer coat would be a good idea too. A really good idea. He had to be aware of the amount he was spending. After receiving the money from his father when he left, Ren had plenty for some new clothes, -which previously would have been completely out of the question- but he was still warry of every yen he had. Well... it ain't like I'm gonna be doin' much else with it. he thought. 'Sides, which would'ja ratha'- bein' out some cash, er bein' a ********' human-popcicle in some god damned frozen wasteland? That certainly wasn't a hard decision to make! He wouldn't go spending-crazy like a sixteen-year-old blonde chick but he'd spend what he had to to make sure he could survive. He nixed Tatsuya's suggestion of getting a couple sweaters and decided to get one that'd keep him warm in Snow's climate.
Ren seen snow before. It wasn't uncommon in Mist, but he had a feeling this would be fairly different from winters he'd experienced. He looked down at Neko-chan. As much of a pain in the a** as that cat was, he did have to take care of her. Well, no, he didn't have to. He could let her die, but he wouldn't. She was Seika's cat and friend. And as her other friend, Ren would never intentionally do something to hurt her. He supposed he could carry Neko-chan in his coat or something. Damn, yer a s**t-tonna trouble, ain'tcha? he grumbled with his eyes at Neko-chan. She just turned her nose up at him indignantly and meowed for more food. Rolling his eyes, he grabbed another handful.
The whole time, he couldn't think of one thing to say to his teammate. Speaking to him hadn't even occured to Ren for the most part. Any time he did consider it, he realized just how terrible he was at coming up with conversation-starters and quickly gave up trying to. Eventually, after jumping from tree to tree to yet another tree, the sent of salt water, wind and seagul-s**t reached him. "I think we're almost 'ere. See if ya c'n get us a boat 'n I'll take a look around for some'in'. I'll fin'ja when I'm done." he said coolly, speaking for the first time in hours. "A'right?" he asked, looking toward Tatsuya, seeing if his plan checked out with him. He wasn't asking because he cared. He did because he just did. And he didn't suggest to split up because he wanted to be away from the boy, Ren just figured it'd be faster. Especially since he knew he was going to have to grab more food for Neko-chan before they set out for Snow. She had maybe half a small bag left, the damn gluttonous cat. He didn't want to waste too much of their time, so having Tatsuya find them a boat would save a little, right?

 Ever a man...
.
A squirrel, with eyes black and lovable, sat observing an acorn it had it's eye on for quite some time. Scurrying down the tree, it stopped a few inches before the nut. The ground started to shake ever so slightly and the squirrel tilted it's head with a small questioning squeak. A hand broke the surface, dirty and protected by an ANBU hand-guard.
As he pulled himself up from the soil Inochi was gasping for breath. An emotional scar ran across his heart- Inogare was working for an organization who was capable of producing so much misery for others. All for some lofty dream...
Something slid off Inochi's head. Looking up, he was greeted by the face of a little brown squirrel who was rather annoyed that he had been scooped up and placed on Inochi's head. The little thing that had fell off was a acorn that had got stuck in his hair as he broke the surface. Reaching down, he grabbed the acorn. Still in the ground up to his chest, he handed the little critter it's nut. It scurried off and chattered at him from a high branch. Putting his chin on his palm, Inochi thought on his situation.
The Leaf Village was under attack, his teammates may or may not trust him, and he had just escaped from a group of S-Rank ninja. This was probably not the best situation he'd ever been in...
Pulling himself up out of the sandy hole he'd just made, he took a moment to dust himself off. Looking skywards, he saw the sun was JUST starting to set. Looking around him, he found that he must still be close to Leaf. The terrain seemed familiar...
Getting tree-born he soon found that he was not far from the town proper. Luck had guided him thus far. Maybe it would be his guiding star for a little while longer...

Crystal heads into the forest from the town at the docks and starts to work her way though the forest on her way back to konoha. "I wonder how grandpa is doing? It'll be great to be able to eat grandpa's home cooking" Crystal said herself as she thought of some of the things grandpa cooked 'Hmmm......Steak and Mushroom. Man I can't wait to get home' Crystal thinks to herself with a smile on her face.
As Crystal traveled though the forest she decided to make a small detour to visit a friend of her grandfathers who lived in a secluded area of the forest where she found her grandfather visiting him. After a small visit she left and continued on her way do konoha, grandpa said he would be home in a day or two. A couple of hrs later As Crystal came closer to the forest just outside of Konoha she noticed smoke in the distance. Unsure of what was going on she quickly back tracked to her grandpa's friends place and told him what she had seen and suggested he stay there for now, which he agreed to do, then she headed back towards Konoha

Garou Running into the forest at full speed Garou threw his hands together creating a hand seal and jumped into the tree tops, landing on a branch as he jumped forward again running on the tops of the tree branches themselves. As he was running towards the village Garou went through the collected data that he had heard in the kage summit meeting and focused on mentally storing it away deep inside himself to prevent anyone from knowing about it plus the curse seal in his tongue made telling impossible anyway adding another layer of defense, but regardless he was preparing himself mentally and physically for the shape the leaf village was in.
Stepping on another tree branch Garou flew through the air still thinking about what he needed to do on the way, he was told to find people to help around the village and return back to his sensei as soon as he was finished. He knew that if the village was bad he was going to need every shinobi he could to help out and restore the population of the village back to full health, but then again if the damage was low he could heal all that he could and return sooner than expected. As he was thinking this he saw a tree branch at the last second and placed his hand on it flipping over the branch, landing on the ground Garou looked up and returned to the trees to press on taking note that the trees were getting thicker.
As the sun light started to fall from the sky Garou stopped and looking back at the horizon for a moment, he was taking note of everything including the animals in the area, this was wise because he was near a nest and if the mother bird returned soon he was going to be in trouble. Jumping a few more branches Garou came across a wagon on merchants heading throw one nation to another, it didn’t seem like much but he be was going to hold on to it for a while. After a moment of silently watching he disappeared, using the jutsu body flicker to fast travel thought the forest in quick speed. He needed to be fast to get there and he decided he was going to pull an all-nighter to get to the leaf village as soon as he could.

Garou A good silent night passed as the leafs in the trees followed the night air, Garou didn't stop for anything but along the night time sky he did ran across a team or two that the leave village sent out. sighing to himself Garou looked back to see a team had formed under his Jonin leadership, this had to be a complete set up to test his abilities as a chunnin or Jonin but at least the time had come to show some colors. The sunlight rose over the tree tops and mountains to greet a new day, Garou looked back to the small team again that only had five hours of sleep. Deciding on a right course of action he stopped where he was and landed on the ground, when a genin walked up to him and asked why they stopped he told them to take a 15 minute breather while they eat some snacks for energy if they had any. Disappearing into the trees Garou made a look out just in case, after the 15 minutes was up Garou jumped down from the trees and gathered the team. Garou started to inform the team that the leaf may be under attack or had already been and that is what they came in for, to help him with the recovery effort. Nodding he commanded his team to move out and jumped into the tree tops with them, this was going to be very important because with a team now he could finish the missions a lot faster and smoother than before. looking forward he was about to enter the leaf village border and called for double time as he went faster, this was something he had to do but what he also noticed from this distance was a bit of smoke raising in the distance and assumed the worst as he went threw the leaf village's border.

Kyo anchored his small boat at the beaches of the Land of Fire, he left it there and started his walk home to his village.
On the way Kyo was wondering if maybe he didn't enough variety to make him an admirable Shinobi, he wondered if maybe he was focusing too much on powerful techniques and deadly attacks, and instead of combining a strong signature attack with a variety of complimentary techniques, he was just focusing on dealing out powerful blows with maximum destruction, fortunately his physical skills were second to none even after the first matches, and his chakra was more than enough to hold out a long fight, but he realized that his control, his tactics, and his skill range was all too short.
"man, maybe i was lucky to get into the exams, but no worries, next time i'll be sure to win, i'll train hard, and not just my body, but my mind and spirit as well, LET"S TAKE THAT HILL!!!"
and with that last battlecry, he sped towards Konohagakure

Trees and branches where but a blur to the ANBU Captain. He'd turned down the Hokage position... temporarily. In his own mind he was, of course, the only person who COULD fill it. He was overqualified and it had been something of an insult that he had not been chosen in place of the now deceased Hokage... not to speak ill of the dead.

Within every illusion, there is reality"  "Ahh, dry land..."Akeru felt good to be setting her feet on solid ground. She'd probably never get used to boats and travelling on the water. She was just lucky she didn't suffer from sea sickness. "Well, I suppose we're off to even drier land now. Though we've still got a ways until we reach the desert."On their way from the dock to the forest, Dawn had 'procured' one of the chains used on some of the boats. It was just sitting there with nobody to defend it, just asking for someone to take it, after all. Plus she was sure there were plenty of others around, she had a dire need to increase her skills, so in her mind the simple theft of a cheap, unimportant chain was justified. "Let's get moving, we want to get to Suna as quickly as possible."

Within every illusion, there is reality" Akeru, Tsukiko, and San made it a ways through the forest before they needed to stop for a break, travelling at high speed until they stopped. They couldn't exactly just take a stroll through the forest, seeing as they had an important mission. Well, at least Akeru knew she was hurrying because of her mission; the other girl was probably doing so in order to get a chance to have at least some time with her man, the thought of which made Akeru shake her head. Still, Akeru was thankful for no other reason then they were making good time. It wouldn't be long until they reached the desert border. And while they had the chance to rest, Akeru thought it best to make use of her new chain. She could fight with it in theory, but every theory needed practice before it was applied. Getting some distance from Tsukiko and San (which was a blessing in itself; the girl's very presence was an annoyance and the dog smelled like...well, a dog) Akeru took out her practice chain and began to try to apply what she had gotten out of the book. At first, she started swinging the chain around, getting used to moving it and controlling its weight. It was actually lighter than Akeru had imagined, but that was partially because it didn't have any kind of weight attached to it. Using what she had read, it was pretty easy to control. Then again, pretty much anyone could swing a chain around without hitting themselves unless they were some kind of idiot. Now came the harder part of trying to utilize the chain as an actual weapon. At first, Akeru tried something simple, trying to strike one of the trees with the chain, a simple whip-like lash. As Akeru tried, however, she found herself unable to properly transition from twirling the chain to lashing it forward, and ended up lashing herself on the back. "Ahh...Damn that hurt...."Akeru rubbed the chain lash on her back, trying to sooth the pain. She was sure that it would be very effective against an enemy, since she knew that getting hit would sting like hell from experience now. Still, as Akeru wasn't one to give up, she started spinning the chain once again. Akeru continued attempting to attack with the chain, and continued taking damage with her every failure. Within a half hour, her arms, legs, face, chest, and abdomen were all screaming in pain from multiple lashes. However, with each failure, she started to be able to 'feel' more of how the chain was moving, and was able to react accordingly. It wasn't long after that Akeru looked like a pro, at least in the not harming herself department. She was able to concentrate her lashes against the tree itself, then after that, it wasn't too difficult to wrap the chain around the tree itself. She had made amazing progress in such a short amount of time. "Heh, I guess it isn't that difficult at all once you get the hang of it. I'd like to see Akira try to take me on now that I have a counter for his swords! Well, I suppose its only natural that I make sure a mere chunin can't beat me, being a jonin and everything now..."Fundojutsu (rank D taijutsu): 609/250 LearnedFundojutsu (rank C taijutsu): 359/500

And soon after crossing into it, they were able to see the vast desert in the horizon. "Well, it looks like we're almost there. Well, almost to the desert at least. I don't know how much you saw of it during your chunin exams, but it can be quite harsh and unforgiving. Try to keep up, and try not to die of heat stroke or something, seeing as your man isn't around to save you and all..."Akeru then crossed into the desert, giving an elated sigh as she felt the shifting sands underneath her feet. She was finally home, she just hoped Ryumon would understand why she couldn't stay and cheer him on in his exams. She was sure he would do fine without her there though. (Entering Desert Tsukiko is auto-following behind)

Riku leaped from branch to branch heading in god knows what direction until the literal back drop changed in seconds from a bone chilling icy tundra to a warm forest scenery.the puppeteer dropped from the trees to the ground in a crouched position making a tight lipped expression as he looked at the ice that slowly melted from his shoulders turn into water running down his now damp black clothes.
Standing up and stretching the genin rubbed his right eye with the palm of his right arm yawning and reflecting on ALL that had happened behind him,the monstrous tailed beast,the weird light,seika and shuniji the whole ordeal disturbed him.but none of that mattered more to him then becoming stronger,in whatever direction he was going he was going to make the best of it and perfect his puppet technique but first thing was first....he would need a puppet.

to the left and right of the puppeteer were a green blur as he swiftly raced through the tree tops at an alarming rate.He conceived ideas for the puppet which would represent as his fresh start keeping mental notes about shuniji's megaphone the lightning technique he used to try to battle the tailed beast with as well as seika's scythe and the strange image of the sand genin which had popped into rikus head while he regained his memory little by little and general ideas on the puppets concept.when amongst the mental puppet building riku had noticed the setting around him was dramatically changing again from the green blur that moments ago flooded his vision to snowflakes slowly descending from above when the genin stopped and leaned against the trees trunk.
Riku's eyes widened as farther up ahead the sight of a mountain which took the shape of three wolves heads connected together came into view. ice glazed over branches of trees and the temperature suddenly changed again causing a cloud of white to escape his mouth as it slowly gaped open,the temperature wasn't as frigid as the land of snow but it was still chilling causing the puppeteer to get goosebumps on his arms as he rubbed them. Something about the mountain led him to in that direction he was intrigued maybe someone living around their could assist him in his search for power.

The thick sound of ninja passing from tree to tree as they made their way back through the building the two of them were forced to call home. However, on the trek back he was not near as concerned with getting to know his teammate, in fact he couldn't care less about Ren at this point, his mind were still on how ninja were actually supposed to carry themselves. Hiyo had said numerous times that honor will guide a ninja to do great things, however, what Shuniji, Seika, and even Ren said seemed to spit in the face of it. Tatsuya had even been told by his strict father that if one's self respect was in question then perhaps they were doing something incorrect. So many thoughts rushed through his mind as the pair quickly made their way back through the forest and nearly to the Udai Counsel, they were close.
Oh, we're still so young, desperate for attention, I aim to be your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives
