^_^ Good news; I did it! I've managed to be removed from my socials class but still get credit for it! It took two long months of social engineering and word-smithing but I finally am free of those assholes! YES! If you hadn't guessed, I'm elated~! blaugh It's a feeling I'm nto accustomed to.
-_-' I was suppsoed to be at a battle of the bands tonight. unfotunetly my buddy in the band neglected to inform me that they had rescheduled. I showed up an hour early.... He also neglected to mention that the venue was a bar. Because my little brother is a music lover, I brought him along. Let's jsut say that although I can get into that sort of establishment without much trouble, he cannot. I'm gonna have to have a word with my friend about the importance of giving somebody all of the necessary information...
One more odd thing. As I mentioned a few months back, I've been toying with the designs of a 'grape musket'. I finally decided to reveal the plans to my father in hopes that he would both allow the project, but possibly fund it. I dare say the man left me rather confused. He told me it was stupid. Normally I'd not be phased by this but he didn't leave it at that. He looked at my designs and said, "Who would want to take wargaming back to the napoleonics? The loading time on this thing would be so frustrating that nobody but you is going to take the time to build this thing! If you want to make a grape gun then go all out. Why not design the thing to be a bolt-action rifle instead of a muzzleloader? Plus, the design would be safer if you used compressed air and not aerosol combustion. You'd only have to buy one tank, and the gun will have less of a chance to explode."
I was speechless for a bit. In all respects I thought the man was going to spurn me for designing dangerous objects, but instead he reprimanded me for not making it efficient enough? I'm confused, but definately not disappointed. Back to the drawing board I suppose! ^_^
On that same note, I'm now wondering if he'd let me mount one of these on the peddle cart I'm designing... twisted Armored combat in the valley anyone?
And Jar, you're probably here because the alternative to this is the Gaian Discussion Forums, and the alternative doesn't look at all good.

I can send you the original that I copied it from. The other is jsut some rough notes in my incomprehensible jarons and such so they wouldn't be much good. http://www.angelfire.com/wy/potato/ That's the design I based mine off of. Essentially all I planned to do differently was to change the barrel width and length, add a trigger mechanism, drill the barrel to reduce both sound and muzzle velocity, and facilitate the use of wadding. I was going to add a pistol grip etc. aswell to make it a bit mroe comfortable to fire and a little more authentic looking. I can't recall the measurements, and I don't feel like scouring my room for them. I'll post the designs for the bolt-action version when I finish them. I probably won't get it done for a long time considering how long it took me to find the info needed for the measurements on the original. If I ever get a good weekend of time in...actually...I have one now...maybe I should get started on phase 2.
