Blinking at the other, Kit smiled some, nodding. “Alright then… we’ll get you some chicken nuggets…” She laughed softly, beginning to make some food. For a while, she didn’t say anything, just focusing on what was in front of her. “Joker…?” Kit finished a batch of the chicken, setting them on the counter as she went to get something for them to eat with them. French fries seemed logical. “Do you think… Gambler is going to lay off on the thing with you and Kalore gone from Area?” She glanced over into the living room, her long hair pulled up into a messy bun. “I want to see Red’s memorial… give him some respect, ya know?”

Kit shook her head but sighed some, placing the food on the table as she frowned. “But… Did Rave betray her? I mean… I can’t imagine him doing that to her… His last comments were cold but it wasn’t like he hadn’t tried to be nice and such before that… Most of us heard them.” Well, most of those that were elves had heard them… but sometimes she forgot that not everyone she talked to had the hearing that they did; even some of the elves didn’t have that good of hearing compared to some of the others around them… “Regardless, I just hope that these laws don’t last for long… Do you know if she’s making any other changes? I mean, it’s not my business but…”

She sighed again before she moved to get something for them all to drink. “What um.. What do you want to drink?” Kit didn’t want them to keep talking about this. It wasn’t that Kit was always running, but she definitely tried to avoid this… she always tried to keep away from situations like this but it wasn’t becoming easy lately. With these things with the council, Eri, Sin, all of these things, she had no idea on what she could do to keep it all away from her. Kalore was the one she was worried about, though.

Kit glared at the wall for a moment, shaking her head as she just got him some water, not saying a word for a while. Fighting over this wasn’t worth the hassle but she couldn’t help but feel annoyed at what was going on. “I’ll get Kalore, alright? You can go ahead and eat.” Walking past the other, she sighed some, her hair coming down as Kit messed with it a bit, going into her room to get Kalore. He was still at the window and she bit her lip, worry coming over her. Would he have been like this if Gambler hadn’t shown so much distaste for him? Kit didn’t think that he would but… no, she wasn’t going to be angry at the woman. It wouldn’t do anything. “Kalore? Are you going to come to dinner? I made some chicken nuggets for me and Joker, but I can make something for you if you want something different.”

He didn’t respond for a while before his eyes closed and he sighed, shaking his head. “No… No, that’s fine, thanks.” Walking over, Kalore gave a smile, hollow and fake but he was at least attempting to fool the other. Kit smiled at him, “Would you like something to drink?” they walked to the room, Kalore sitting down across from Joker, looking down as he shrugged, “Water?” Kit nodded, “Alright. Joker, is the food alright?”

A small look of surprise was on his feature as Kalore listened to the man. They had actually gone out? Finally? “it’s about time one of you asked the other…” He blinked, unmoved as Kit yelled at him for a moment, placing some fruit in front of him and a chicken nugget. Both knew that he wasn’t the most fond person of meat unless it was cooked to perfection and there was only so much that Kit could do with chicken nuggets. She smiled a bit at them as she sat down, sipping at her own drink. “So! Kalore, would you like to go house shopping with us or…?” Kalore shook his head. “I think that I’m going to go home… As for where everyone is? The only one we don’t know is Rave and well… we don’t know.”

Avoiding the nugget, Kalore sighed, shaking his head some, “No, Joker… I need to check up on some things at the house, alright?” His eyes showed that he was guarding himself, that he was thinking about something, but even he wasn’t totally sure on what he wanted to do. The elf didn’t touch his food, though he did sip at the water every now and then, and he seemed distracted but that alone didn’t need to cause any worry. Kit knew him, however, and she sighed. “Kalore… please? It would be helpful… You’re good at the design stuff and all that so I mean, you would help us out a lot in planning and-“ Kalore shook his head. “I… I might later, alright? But… Someone has to find Rave, you know? I can probably do that easier than most people.”

Kalore sighed some, nodding a bit before moving so that he could help with dishes. He wasn’t too sure that finding Rave really was going to be his main concern, seeing as he didn’t even know that the other had been missing. It had made sense at the time that he was the one that Joker was talking about but… he didn’t know where the man would have gone. Dusk would be the best to find him because of the shadows but he would look for him. He was the next in line to find him anyway, and Dusk probably had her hands full. As he did dishes, Kit went to help him, smirking at Joker. “Hmm… I could be… but you opted to sleep on the couch, didn’t you?”

Kit laughed some, “Oh? You think so?” She smirked, but Kalore flinched at the memories that began to plague him. He and Monty had had many nights when sleep had been the last thing on their mind, and apparently… apparently that only helped make him weak or something like that.

Gambler’s words began to twist in his mind as he spoke softly, “I really think that I’m just going to go rest… Today has been… busy.” Dishes left in the soap, Kalore’s legs quickly carried him to the little room that Kit had turned into a guest room for him, looking around. It was meant to be an office space, if that, but there was a bed and there was a dresser with a mirror hanging on top of it. The mirror was taken down as Kalore sat on the bed, his head in his hands. His heart was thudding in his chest, his breath hard to keep under control. He wasn’t too sure on how well he could keep all of this up.

Kit wanted to feel bad, but she just couldn’t with the comments that Joker was making. Laughing softly, she shook her head, walking over to him as they were inches apart. “My dear… You’d be amazed on the amount that it takes to make me really blush.” She smirked, kissing him briefly before nodding to him. “Get some sleep, alright. Tomorrow we hunt for a home.” Saying those words excited her, made her nearly ecstatic. She was going to find a real house, where she didn’t need to worry about being kicked out at every month… it was… exhilarating. “Goodnight, Joker.”
