Joker stopped and looked at Kit with a raised brow. "Do you want to be dating me? I did say that I want you but not because I'm buying you a house. I have to tell you that I'm not good with short terms or flings. I'm not. If that's what your looking for then I can give you anything you wish." Even at the expense of getting hurt in the process. "Of course, I can understand if you don't want to date me. I'm insane you know." He said, continuing to walk.
Gambler sat back to watch Ziggy and nodded. "Good. I'm glad to hear that someone from your side has more b*lls than others. This is very good indeed." Her attention went to Kyoshi. "Leave us Kyoshi. I wouldn't want your Queen to think that your compromising this partnership." She gave him and smile too as Kyoshi blinked. "Of course." He bowed his head and walked away, leaving Ziggy alone with Gambler. Besides, it wasn't like she was going to shot him and gut him now. The man had done nothing wrong and surprisingly this was going smoothly. Maybe it was a good idea to have someone keep an eye on Gambler.
As Kyoshi left quickly, Gambler stood up to go over to the filing cabinet. Taking out various papers that ended up becoming a pile and went to Ziggy. "You can sit at the coffee table and fill these out. They are papers about your medical history, background of family, relationships and a long questionaire. I know it sounds ridiculous but no matter what your position is I want to know that I can rely on you."

Still not moving from his arms, Kit was silent for a while. What did she want from him? Kit knew that she had definitely been comfortable with the other since the hairbrush incident with Rave, leading to many drinks and many laughs with Joker but… what did she want with him? She really didn’t know. Flings had been all that she had known for a while and it was something of a mystery for her to really think about things that they could do that wouldn’t be boring for him… Surely Joker had better things to do than be with an elf girl, right? He was rich, a doctor, rich, liked by many people… it was surprising that she would have his attention. As they neared the car, Kit nodded some, “I haven’t dated for real for a long time, Joker… I’d like to date you, but… I don’t know how it would end… Would you be alright with that? Not knowing?”
He wasn’t sure if he should take that as an insult or not, but as he was told to sit down he blinked, watching the papers begin to pile up. “Umm…” He nearly fell over as the stack was in front of him and he could barely see over it. “Well um… alright…” More blinked and he took the papers, leafing through them first to sort them out himself, having personal information with that, family information with itself, and so on. “This is gonna take a while.” He grumbled for a moment, but soon was getting to it. It wouldn’t be too bad. He could handle it. “After this… you gonna need help with anything, Gambler?” He was filling out the papers, focusing on that but it was only polite to ask.

Joker smiled softly, giving Kit a kiss on her cheek. "Sweetheart, relationships are the unknown. As long as you know what you want and I know what I want, we can some how over come the unknown together. Truly, I'm not the greatest person in the world but I swear on my heart that I'll make you as happy as possible." Meaning alot of laughing, alot of kisses, alot of breakfast in beds and anything Kit would ever desire. Standing next to her door, he grinned. "That includes buying you stuff so don't beat me up if I do." He stuck his tongue out childishly at Kit.
The woman went back to her desk and smiled slightly, getting back to writing. "Yeah, your going to file your own papers because I have too much on my desk to worry about. You can help yourself to drinks if you want." She said, pointing with her free hand while writing at the bar she had with a fridge there that had all types of drinks. "There's liquor and non liquor if you like." This didn't seem like a bad idea after all being around Gambler. She was almost...Normal.

Raising a brow, Ziggy glanced up before chuckling some, “Ah… Already working me then?” He looked amused before moving to look at the papers. None of the information that he gave about his family history was completely accurate, but what was he supposed to write? ‘Yes, my father was a psycho dracokin who enjoyed molesting young women in his spare time with the health issue of being scaly, and my mother is an unknown victim who he kept locked up and whose health issues included being insane from abuse and speaking to herself.’ Yeah, that was totally something he wanted to share… but he did mention Elke, seeing as she knew him, but his ‘mother’s health issues’ were… well… none. Yup. He wasn’t concerned about this, however, as he would make small talk with the woman, just wanting to have her talk to him. Ziggy was easy to talk to; one of the reasons why he was able to do his job so well.
Kit smiled more at the other, unable to deny that she was thankful that someone like Joker had actually had any interest in her. When he spoke about buying her things, however, Kit scowled. “No!” She leaned over, biting the other’s tongue with a smirk. She shook her head, amused as many people shook their heads. What was going on wasn’t proper, but they could all just kiss her a**. Parting, she smirked, “Fine… if I get stuck always having to get things from you… then expect to be gifted as well.” Well… she would try… Kit didn’t make much, but now that she wasn’t dealing with high expenses, it seemed like she would be able to survive better.

"Of course. It's never easy being in my circle. It's a wonder how there's twelve of them rather than none but I guess once you get used to the extreme work then everything seems like a breeze." She said, shifting papers here and there. "Do you have a place to stay in the city?" Gambler wondered if the man was still living in the house with the children. "If you do I'll expect you to return here bright and early. I have to run you through everything going on in the city, make the introductions to the other twelve here and bring you up to speed with the new laws I'm working on." Inwardly she smiled like a shark. This might be the path to downfall and it was going to rock this city.
Joker twitched and growled, pressing Kit close to the car and leaning towards her. Lowering his voice to a deep rumble, he touched Kit's chin. "Don't Kit. You don't see it but you are a gift. The greatest of them all and I would have to be a fool to not see that. Thankfully I'm not." He kissed her cheek tenderly.

“New laws?” Ziggy raised a brow, but his interest was little. It wasn’t like there really was much that she could do to him… if anything, he had gotten there first before this woman, and had dealt with this place longer, but it wasn’t like he was going to tell her that. Chuckling softly to himself, he got another piece done, only writing down what he was willing to share, making up the rest. If she was so busy, would she honestly read this? No… but it was giving him enough time to find some information. “What are these new laws? And yes, Miss Gambler, I do indeed still live with my sister. She misses your group, actually… Talon, Kai, and I are too boring apparently… Shame.”
Eyes widening as she was pushed against the car, Kit looked up at him with surprise on her features. “I’m… I’m what?” She looked confused, shaking her head as she gently touched his shoulder, “Joker… how am I a gift? I mean… I don’t think that… that I’m such a thing.” She shook her head again, blushing softly. Why did this man think this of her? Kit didn’t think that she would ever understand, but watching him she was curious. ‘I mean… well… if you think so but… I still want to get you something…”

Gambler sighed softly not answering the question about the new laws since he was going to know soon, but not now. Rather she looked up from her papers to watch him. "I don't have a group, Ziggy." With those hollow words, she looked back down to keep writing. No, the boss didn't have a groupd anymore. Kyoshi was in the elven lands as the partner to Dusk and now her ambassador, Joker was banished from the city for bringing Kalore to the location while Casanova, Raid, Monty and her Twins were dead. Eldin and Kalore were fired through Rave.
A lump formed as the thought of all those she lost. Especially her Twins. Oh how she missed having them around her. Gambler's existance felt so.....hollow, worse than ever before since there was no way for her babies to come back to her. Bowing her head to the desk she closed her eyes behind her sunglasses. "Ziggy? Can you get me a big bottle of cold rum from the fridge please?" It would be best if she drowned her memories in a drunken haze rather than have it eat away at her.
"Since you have your own place I'll expect you to be at a undisclosed location early in the morning for you to be introduced and such. You will learn about the new things going on so that you can make your full report to your Queen, understand?" Her voice was soft but loud enough for him to hear as she tried to coax herself to calm down.
Joker tilted his head to the side and kissed her forehead lightly. "You are a gift Kit, that is why you should be cherished and never be taken for granted. Let's go to your apartment to rest. We have a long day tomorrow since I want you to have a nice big bed." He grinned broadly at that. A nice big bed that he could see her in with something skimpy and lacey.

Frowning, Ziggy looked up as he watched her, just watching her for a moment. The words weren’t what he had expected, and he couldn’t help but sigh softly, shaking his head. “Gambler… as long as you have anyone that wants the best for you, you have a group.” He stood up, going to get the drink for her, glancing back as he got two glasses.
“You care?” The blue haired man had a feeling that he was going to need a drink if he was going to deal with this woman… but oh well. Sighing some, he went to her desk, pouring her a glass as he watched her. “I can be here whenever you need me, miss, but I will ask that you let me have some time for the most part… I can’t just leave Ali all the time.” Sadly… she could handle herself, but the kid was still a kid. “Unless you don’t mind her tagging along?” He raised a brow. Ziggy didn’t care about much, but two women were his priorities. Dusk and Ali. The rest? Eh…
A small smile remained on her features before she began to roll her eyes, “A big bed, huh? I wonder what that’s for…” She gave him the look before they were in the car, sighing some. “Well… I don’t have another extra room… but my bed’s decently big if you don’t care about sharing and want something comfortable, or there’s the couch… but it’s not too comfortable.” Was she bothered by sharing her bed? Nope. With some people she would have, but it wasn’t like she and Joker were strangers. They had known one another for nearly a year now.

Gambler ignored what he said about having a group of those who want the best for her. Sure, if the best is giving her ideas to off herself then sure, Rave was a great role model for a group. B*****d. Shaking her head she looked up. "No kids allowed Ziggy. Shame on you to want to expose the little one to this kind of life. If you want a babysitter sometimes depending on how demanding things end up, I could call Nyx. She can bring her son and babysit for you."
Looking at the liquor she grabbed for the bottle and sat back to chug it down until the whole thing was gone, leaving the two glasses for Ziggy to drink. It wasn't like the rum was going to do anything to Gambler since she wasn't prone to get drunk but perhaps if she had invested in the Devil's Brew then yeah she would get wasted. Perhaps that would be a job for someone to do. Go to the underground where the demons lurked and get some illegal Devil's Brew.
Joker blinked and shook his head, driving back to Kit's apartment. "I'll keep to the couch. I don't want you to be all weird if something happens in the middle of the night." The man couldn't promise that he might get frisky with Kit in the middle of the night, especially when the woman was damn gorgeous and ....gorgeous.

The man sighed some, shaking his head, “It’s not like she hasn’t been exposed to it before…” He took the glasses, downing them easily before getting rid of the glasses and bottle. He leaned against the couch, looking at the papers that he still had to do before raising a brow. “Nyx? That’s the one that kept messing with Talon, right?” He never spoke to her, so he’d have to talk to her first just to make sure her emotions weren’t going to send Ali into a fit… but over the past year and a half, she had been working hard to control herself. The nine year old was now comfortable in what she had to do and controlled herself well. “But alright. Now… do I seriously need to keep filling out past the medical and history stuff with these questions or no?”
Kit laughed softly, nodding a bit. “Alright… then I’ll try to make the couch as comfortable as I can for you.” She couldn’t believe it. Never before had she met someone that actually tried to remain proper to her and she had to admit that it was one of the best things that she had met in a long time. Smiling some at him, she nodded a bit more before leaning back. “Let’s just go… I wanna check up on Kalore.”

Gambler gave a small smile. "Thank the heavens someone is smart. No Ziggy. You obviously figured it out that those papers are just something I wanted to see if you would check on to how ridiculous they are. You can talk to Nyx tomorrow if you like. I'll call her right now to have her stop by at the place we are all going to meet up at. Just make sure you leave me your cell phone number." Gambler picked up her pen and started to write again. "I'll file them and you can go tell your family that you have a job and possible babysitting coming along."
Joker blinked and scowled. "He better not touch you anywhere or else I'm going to make a Kalore coat out of him." He warned, can't imagine letting another man, no matter if he was gay or not touch his female. Well, she wasn't his but still, Joker was hoping it would happen. "Don't worry about it. I've slept in worse places." Pulling up to a stop at the apartment complex, he shut the car off and looked at Kit. "Thank you Kit. Thank you for letting me stay with you."

A laugh came from the man as he leaned back, nodding some. “Please tell me that no one actually filled out more than the personal information…” Ziggy would be shocked if someone actually sat through and filled out all of this stuff honestly. Shaking his head, he got a pen and filled in his information for how she could contact him, handing it to the other. “I can get here quick because I live close to here… but if something’s going on with Ali… I do ask that you give me some time.” Ziggy didn’t know how much the woman knew about the little girl, or even if she had met her, but… most people understood that she was someone that definitely took up a lot of his time.
Kit rolled her eyes, “He’s not going to touch me… Hell, he’s probably just staring at a wall right now or something.” That wasn’t good but… she knew her friend. With the information that she had been given and how Kalore had reacted to Monty’s death… she wasn’t totally sure that he was going to be alright anytime soon. Sighing some, she shook her head as she got out, bending down to listen to him before smiling, leaning over to press a gentle kiss to his nose. “Joker… thank you for coming here. You’re welcome with me anytime, alright?” Another smile and she led him up to the apartment, ignoring the disgusting scenery that was around them. She’d be out of there soon… so soon.

Gambler nodded. "Yes. Some people just never understood the sarcastic joke of filling out papers. Oh well." She shrugged and took his contact information. "Listen, family comes first alright? Just don't do things because you have a girlfriend because that's unacceptable unless she's the mother of some kid you have running around. Other than that, go handle your family business and then we talk some more. Now, leave. You have nothing further to do while I plan out tomorrow." The least Ziggy could do is come tomorrow for a meeting to meet everyone and then she could finally tell Ziggy her new laws even if they weren't finished yet.
Joker sighed and followed Kit, highly concerned for Kalore over the death of Monty and all the things before and after it. No one should have to go through it but here he was a man who was doing so and well, at least Kalore can become stronger from this and who knows since Eri was out of the picture Kalore can work at something without having to be disrespected for it. He might have to bring that up to Dusk and Kyoshi. If anything he'll open a practice and have Kalore be apart of his office too.

Ziggy nodded, accepting that. “Alright then. Just call me for when you need me there.” He gave her a calm, easy going smile before walking out and heading out. He never looked back. In all honesty, he wasn’t concerned about Gambler even though he knew that something was up with her. It wasn’t his job, honestly, to make sure she didn’t jump off a cliff or something but then again… maybe it was… damn it all.
The two entered her apartment and the moment that she did, Kit began looking for Kalore. She knew that he was in the bedroom if he was there, seeing as there really wasn’t anywhere else that he could go. “Hold up, alright? Just make yourself at home.” Kit smiled at Joker, but there was a nervous edge to it. She was on the search, looking around and wondering just where the blonde male was before she sighed in relief. He was in the bedroom, looking out the window. “It’s not that good of a view… Sorry about that.” She tried to be cute, a bit funny, but Kalore didn’t reply. Sighing some, she shook her head, walking over to her friend as she rested her head against his shoulder.
“Are you hungry?” No reply. “Kalore… come on, hon, don’t do this to me.” She kissed his cheek, touching his hair softly, stroking it tenderly. “Why don’t you get some rest, alright? I’ll have something made for dinner soon.” He sighed but allowed himself to be taken to the bed, sitting down. “Fine.” She sighed again but soon was gone from the room, biting her lip. She was glad that Kalore was still there but… “Joker, are you hungry?”

Gambler was so glad to be in her peaceful office without anyone bothering her. It was now late so she wouldn't have to worry about someone finding her here. Getting up from her desk she locked the door and went over to the couch to lay down on. Taking the sunglasses off she covered her eyes with her arm and willed herself to sleep. It was going to be a while for it but it was better than working her hands raw in writing. After all she needed all her rest for her mind to come up with more plans for everyone around her.
Joker was on the couch, bouncing on it and smiling. He liked it. No doubt the doctor was going to enjoy sleeping there. Looking up, Joker smiled more at Kit. "I would like some eggs please." Which was a odd thing to have at this time. "Wait! I want some chicken nuggets like that one time!" He jumped up and down like a child happy.
