Sighing softly, the man nodded as he began to point him into the direction of where they needed to g o, leaning back some before glancing around and watching the world around him. He hadn’t been to her new place but Kit had told him where it was that he had lived and well… he wasn’t happy about it. “the place isn’t as nice as it had been before… in fact, I don’t like it at all.” Wiping at his face again, he made sure that he looked semi-presentable before taking in another breath, shaking his head as they came to a set of apartments that looked like the essence of a murder scene. He looked up, sighing some. “She’s on the top floor. Come on.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised…” Kalore grumbled for a moment before he blinked some, glancing over at him. “You’d do that for her?” He smiled a bit, laughing softly as they began to go upstairs, shaking his head, “Why don’t you just get her to live with you?” Raising a brow, he looked amused, knocking on Kit’s door as he thought about his hair, taking a step back to take out the contacts, placing them in the small case that Joker had given to him. There wasn’t any sound for a moment as Kalore glanced over at him, his green eyes nearly startling in the difference of just seconds before. “It’s not like either of you would object…”

Looking out the small peephole, a look of confusion was on Kit’s face. She recognized Joker but it took her a moment to listen to Kalore’s voice, nearly gasping as she threw open the door, glaring daggers at Kalore. “What the hell did you do to your hair!?”

Kit’s eyes remained wide as she shook her head, “Why did you dye his hair!?” She struggled a bit but then looked surprised at his words, blinking some at the other. “Come stay with me? Why?” Kalore slipped in, thankful that Joker had her in his grasp as she was trapped, the man able to go into the bathroom, “I’m going to wash it out now, alright?” He smiled some, laughing softly as Kit continued to glower at him. He would behave for now, though, but he had to admit that he wanted to know what Kit would think about staying with Joker or Joker staying with her… “You better be washing it out… Now… what’s this about me being on that… CS whatever and Law and blah?”

Yelping some when Joker became excited, Kit wasn’t too sure on what to do with the other before she was in his hold, the two waltzing around. No matter how annoyed the woman would be, she couldn’t help but laugh, nodding some before making him stop, touching his cheek. “Joker… breathe… you’re speaking too fast for me, alright?” Kit smiled softly, kissing his nose before she nodded, “For the most part, yes. The apartment builders here try their hardest to make everything soundproof, but that doesn’t always work out… Now, please tell me why you want me to live with you? I don’t mind but… why?” She blinked, pulling him to her couch, confusion on her features.

Crossing her arms, the woman frowned some as she watched him. There was something about the smile that he had that she didn’t enjoy, that she didn’t like at all. No, she didn’t like it one bit. Sighing softly, Kit shook her head before a small look of surprise went onto her features. “Wait… What?” The look of confusion never left as she held the other’s hands in hers as well, frowning a bit. “I mean… I know that I’d like to have you around more but… aren’t you going to miss your practice? This is a bit far, Joker.” She blinked some more, shaking her head before taking in a soft breath, smiling softly at him.

“If you want to stay here, you can. If you want to get a place around here then that’s fine too but… I can’t afford anything higher than this.” She blinked some, shaking her head. “If I could then I would; I don’t trust this place at all, but now that I’m not working for Eri… no one really pays as well as he did.” Hearing what all the b*****d did, however, made it worth losing him as a boss. She was still hurting for money, though. Her apartment before hadn’t been expensive, but it had been nice-ish and she had liked it and had felt safe in it. Now? Now she thought for sure that she was going to die any day…

Kit’s eyes widened as she listened to him, soon shaking her head, “Joker… I can’t do that… I mean, I’d love to live with you, but you just giving me a home? I can’t… I can’t do that. I’ll pay you back for it… Maybe we can do something for that?” She wasn’t used to people just giving her things. Plus, how much could Joker honestly afford? Hopefully enough but… she wasn’t totally sure about that. “I mean… I don’t want you doing that if you can’t pay for it… I mean… a new place is expensive…” Then he spoke about all of these things, “Opening a practice?” Kit frowned, shaking her head some. “Why… Why open one here? Can’t Eldin work in the one that you already have? Or me?” She ignored the comment about the position she could possibly have, but confusion was on her features. “I thought Eldin was going to work with you over in Area 6…”

Kit had to smile a bit at the other’s words, nodding some. “I’ll take the home, but you need to find it with me and like it as well…. You’re going to live with me, right?” She touched his cheek as well, unable to stop smiling as she kissed his nose gently. How odd it was that the two were going to live together and he hadn’t even really, officially, asked her out and she hadn’t done that either. They had never dated but… it seemed right. When he spoke next, however, she frowned. “What’s wrong?” With what he had said, she knew that something was wrong. That much no one could hide from her.
