“Damn it, Kyoshi!” taking a step, Dusk shook her head, “And you’re doing it again! You did threaten to leave, Kyoshi! Just because of this!” Her eyes watered a bit but she forced herself to calm down. Now wasn’t the time… she didn’t break down in front of him before and she wouldn’t do it now. “I had said that I would drop it because it’s causing issues, alright? I’m not afraid of what she’s doing and you keep acting as though I’m going to go there and scream at her and I’m not. I want to talk to her, yes, I want to know why she did all this, but I don’t understand.”

Dusk didn’t take a step back but she wanted to move, she wanted to do something that would allow her some way to calm down. “Kyoshi… I don’t want you to leave, but I don’t know what to do.” Her voice had dropped to a whisper as she shook her head, “You never pushed me to this, no, and I’m not implying that you did… but I only cared about what you thought, Kyoshi. If you wouldn’t have wanted me to do this then I wouldn’t have. If you don’t want me to then I’ll just give it over to Rave. I don’t want all of these issues getting through us again. Really, I don’t, but I just don’t have any idea on what to do.”

Nodding slowly, Kalore suddenly felt dazed. He was going to do this… he hadn’t gone behind someone’s back in doing something in a long time and now that he was looking up at Joker… he wasn’t too sure on how this was going to turn out. Joker had done so much for him, though, so he knew that he couldn’t just back out now. Nodding some, he took in another breath, biting his lip. “Alright… I’ll get my things, though.” Avoiding the mirrors, Kalore began to walk out before he glanced back, giving a weak smile to the other, “Thank you, Joker.” He gave him another nod before he took in a breath, moving to get to his clothes, grabbing them and what he needed before ending back in the bathroom, waiting until it was completely his before he took a shower, avoiding the mirror like the plague and only coming out when it was completely fogged.

"Just now I did because it's obvious I'm not helping anything. I told you that I'll support you in anything Dusk. I will even if it might put me out of the city. I'll support you in anything you put your mind to. I know that you wanted to yell at her. It was in your eyes, I saw it. For another why do you care what I think? It's like you give a damn what those council members think too or the rest of the population. Do you really base every decision you make on all of their thoughts? It's sounds like they are pulling your strings than the other way around."

Kyoshi watched Dusk, not moving his spot no matter what. "If you think that our relationship isn't strong enough to handle these damned issues, then why in heavens name are we still together? Why do these things have to interfer and relate to our personal relationship? I've done very well in separating them on my end but why would you think this would get through us? I know I'm an outsider here, I know I'm not an elf and they really don't like me. They can accuse me of bringing in those spiders, I don't care. But you? I love you Dusk. I love everything about you." His gaze softened as he watched her.

"Your still not listening to me. Your the leader right? Then be the leader and do what's right without having to ask permission from anyone. The people have to look up to you for guidence, not those smucks in the council room with their pompous attitude breathing down your neck and anticipating a mistake. Damnit Dusk..." He murmured softly, taking a cautious step towards her with a stark expression, "If you give this sh*t up to Rave, you only played into everyone's hand and showed that your not up for this task. Aren't you the one who bangbangbang your pops? Aren't you the one who can put a powerful seraph in his place and bring him to his knees with one look?" He pointed at himself.

"Aren't you a sly, cunning thief who has her way even when I don't want you doing that stuff anymore? Then why can't you step up seriously to this? Yes Gambler threw a curveball your way however you can either hit it out of the ball park or let it miss striking you out. What are you going to do?" He wanted to risk getting his a** kicked by her and hug her to him, especially since he doesn't hit women, even if they deserved it. Dusk however could hit him and he will still be there for her. "Dusk, your a damn Queen. That's bigger than being a council member and a nobody. You have the power to do great things."

Joker chuckled and nodded, moving out of Kalore's way to shower and change in his room. Hopefully, this went without a hitch. Especially when the storm building up outside suddenly broke with a light misty rain that had a cold bite to it. Maybe with this rain it will help with obscuring Kalore. It just might work this plan.

Kalore took his time getting ready, able to put on the contacts with relative ease, though having a finger aimed for his eye was not easy for him to handle… but he took in a slow breath, sighing some before he shook his head. He didn’t want to think about all of this… he couldn’t think about all of this. He just needed to get out and do what had to be done. Yeah… that’s what he told himself, anyway. What he truly believed? Well, he didn’t want to think about that. Instead, he took in a breath, steadying himself again. This wouldn’t be easy, but he dried off his hair, allowing himself to find a blow dryer to make it easier, and then put himself in the black suit, sighing softly. He didn’t look at himself until he went into the room, his eyes widening as he had to do a double take.

Eyes, boring, hair, brown… his features were still the same but he wasn’t wearing a tight fitting suit but instead one that was a bit too large but still nice, and there was no green… nothing that said who he was. His eyes fogged slightly, his head turning away as he walked out, going into the kitchen. There were no mirrors there, but he did have to go close to a mirror before he moved in order to have the box that he had, now in his hand as he sat at the table. He couldn’t believe this… he couldn’t believe any of this.

Sighing softly, Dusk ran a hand through her hair, watching as he came closer. For a while, she didn’t know what to tell him. She thought of something, however, as a small smile came to her lips, “I don’t think that this is going to ruin us, Kyoshi, but I really didn’t want to add to the hellish things we’re already dealing with.” He took a step forward and she did as well, watching him as she glanced up, sighing some. “I have to appease the council and my people for now, Kyoshi. I want the council gone and we’re getting rid of them. Elves aren’t rash people and they don’t take well to immediate change. I’ve done a lot of things in the months that I’ve been here but even some say that it’s been too fast.”

Now she shrugged. It wasn’t like Dusk to take things too slow. This was already too slow for her. “Kyoshi, the council will be gone within the month, I know this. Rave has found the loophole that we needed in order to get the council gone and my people still happy. They will still be around… but they won’t have the power that they think that they have now and there are some on the board that I’ll be able to just be rid of completely.” Another sigh and she ran a hand through her hair, shaking her head. “This thing with Gambler… it’s just another thing added to a thousand other tings… Yes, I wanted to yell at her and I still do. I want to kick her across the room, help her up, and then kick her again for how she’s acting, but I can’t do that. I respect the woman too much for that.” At least, she did…

Looking back up at him, she sighed again. “There are so many things that I want to do, Kyoshi, but you haven’t seen them… there are just so many differences in people that I need to remember, so many things that I have to do in order to keep my people happy until they become completely loyal to me. A queen has no power if the people aren’t with her, and that’s one of the biggest things that I’ve had to fight against. I’m trying, okay? You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve looked out the window in the direction of Area 6 and just wanted to go and become a thief again. Life was much easier, more fun… but I couldn’t give this up to Rave… I really don’t think that I’d be able to. I couldn’t leave you either way, and that’s why I care what you think, Kyoshi. You matter more to me than anyone has in… ever.”
PostPosted: Sun May 22, 2011 7:52 pm

Kyoshi came closer to Dusk while she was talking and touched her cheek lightly. "The point out of all of this Dusk is that your doing what you think is right whatever the pace it's been set at alright? This is one out of how many? You can handle it." Leaning closer he kissed her forehead. "Actually, I have seen you look out the window. When you don't notice I watch you alot." He smiled slightly. "These things can never get in the way of us. That's just dumb. Now, is there anything I can do to help you?"

Joker rushed out of the room, hopping on one foot to put on his last dress shoe to meet Kalore. "Woa. You blend in well Kalore. I think Monty would have murdered me if he saw that I covered your blonde hair. I think he had told me once that you have the best shade of blonde." Joker smiled, running a hand through his unruly hair. "Alright, we are making good timing. Let's head out. I have all the rain gear to protect us from getting sick." He motioned for Kalore to follow him back into the garage towards his car. It was almost time to lay the dead to rest.

Sighing softly again, Dusk shook her head but there was a bit of an embarrassed look as he told her that she had been caught. Glancing away at the news, the woman grumbled for a moment before looking at him once again, blinking. “What?” What was it that he could do to help? The point that he had made did make sense but… still. Sighing some, she leaned against his hand, watching him. “You need a new paper saying that you’re the ambassador…” Other than that, she only wanted him to stay with her, and she showed it as her arms wrapped around him, resting comfortably around the man. “But… that can wait.”

Kalore looked up, nearly jolting out of his thoughts as a look of surprise was present. What had Monty said? He shook his head, “I doubt he would have said that…” He sighed some, not wanting to think of things like that as he stood up, taking the slim box with him, glancing over in time to hear about the raingear, nodding some. “I think that that’s good… I’ve never owned raingear.” Actually, he hadn’t even seen a real umbrella until he saw some girl carrying one after he got into Area 6… Following Joker, Kalore just looked around, curious on how it was that this was going to go. He didn’t want to ask anything, however, as he just let his mind wander off on things other than death and how much he missed a certain demon’s warmth.

Kyoshi laughed and wrapped his arms tightly around Dusk. "I don't think Gambler will be willing to kill a tree for that kind of thing. I was thinking that taping it would be better or something." He said, stroking Dusk's back gently, taking the scent of her from her hair as he closed his eyes. "Then since that's on hold, what do you want right now?"

The doctor shrugged. As soon as both men were properly in the car he pulled out into the light rain and started to head out to the far north, past the center of the city that was full of people with umbrellas, past the business district towards a winding path where the cemetary was located.

It was a large, gated place that had the cemetaries neatly arranged with different types of tombstone with flower being drowned out from those who visited their loved ones, some had teddy bears and other items special to those dearly departed. Up ahead there was a large tent that was placed for the grave with the coffin where a number of black cars lined up in park next to the grass where a gathering was happening.

Parking behind the furthest car, Joker reached in the back to give Kalore a large umbrella for him. "This will give you cover and whatever you do, let me do all the talking. They ignore me most of the time." He said putting on a rain hat and jacket in black and walked out with a umbrella. Moving around to cover the door for Kalore to have a chance in opening his umbrella to walk over to the tent.

Dusk smiled a bit, nodding, “I think tape will do fine.” Kissing him softly, she sighed as she kept him close, thankful that they weren’t fighting. Then again, had they really been fighting? With some of the arguments that they had had before and some of the things that happened within their first week of knowing one another, this was nothing. The thought was amusing as she smiled a bit more, kissing his chin softly. “I think… you wanted to take this dress off me, right? Or are you done with that idea?” She pouted, adorable with her multi-colored hair and beautiful red gown. The door could be locked in a moment…

Watching as the city passed by them, Kalore couldn’t help but watch those that he saw in the city, sighing softly. He closed his eyes for just a moment but… did he fall asleep? That may have been what happened as he opened his eyes, glancing around before biting his lip, noticing the amount of cars. “So… So many people…” Watching Joker, he nodded some, sighing softly before he took the umbrella, nodding at the cover as he came out, looking like an attractive brown haired, gray eyed man there to pay his respects. He would remain silent, just nodding or shaking his head or whatever. But now his curiosity was beginning to rear its head. Would some of Monty’s family be there? He bit his lip some, having to ask the question, softly, as they began to walk. He wouldn’t talk anymore, promise, but he was curious…

Kyoshi grinned mischieviously and started to walk Dusk backward towards her very comfortable bed. "Your Highness, I must break away from royal protocol and remove that dress from you." Even if the door was locked or not, he didn't care. Hell, the man was secure in his birthday suit when he got down to it that if someone entered to tell the Queen something he was still going to be focused on her. "Now, then, turn around for me so that I can save this dress rather than be a savage and tear it off." Kyoshi winked, stealing a kiss from Dusk.

The insane doctor nodded as he lead Kalore to th further side where he spotted Gambler giving hand shakes to those that were just coming. Joker and Kalore were in black so it was possible for them to get past her and he personally would go say hello to her. "No. They are not to be here while Gambler and Kyoshi are still around. Just like Sin wasn't supposed to be around having his family here would cause worse trouble. If Gambler is not herself, then no doubt she would put the world into a war with them." He whispered softly to the elf, motioning for him to stay under the tent in full view of the cherry wood coffin, large enough to hold Monty.

The tent was semi lit with light orbs to give a soft glow of light to be easy on the eyes and to give enough light for the coffin to be seen as well as the grave with a simple tombstone that said "R.I.P." There was no name, no endearment, nothing to tell anyone that Monty the fire demon and prince of hell and king of being a jerk layed here survived by no one who cared enough other than a special elf.

Anyways, Joker told Kalore in hushed tones to stay where he was, giving him the name of Gideon and walked away to stand behind the group of men, giving their respects and standing with the others, hand shaking. "Hey Gambler." Gambler stood there in a suit of solid black with...sunglasses that were large and very dark. Not even the light from the orbs shadowed anything. The boss took Joker's hand and nodded. "You brought your friend?" He nodded. "Yeah, I didn't want to leave him in the office or in my house while I'm getting ready. Plus he had his own suit for our up coming meeting so...He didn't mind coming along."

Gambler nodded and motioned for Joker to go back under the safety of the tent and followed. Standing next to the coffin, she looked at everyone who was there. Joker stood next to Kalore who she assumed with Gideon and gave her the cheesy two thumbs up. Gambler's lips quirked slightly as she looked back at the group. Resting a hand on the coffin she smiled a little more.

"Thank you all for coming. I know most of you have known the demon for quite some time and are wondering where the priest is to do the ceremony. I have to tell you, I don't think Monty would have liked it if I brought a priest here. Rather than give a few words of comfort he might end up throwing buckets of holy water on him. No doubt right now he's turning in his coffin." She patted the coffin gently earning a few chuckles and amused nods.

"I won't take up most of your time but, it saddens me to have to bury another comrade. I've known him for almost all my life. In some respects I considered him a great friend even when wanting to cut my head off." That earned a few more chuckles. "Despite his flaws and the mask he held on in front of everyone, deep down was someone honorable. Someone who wouldn't dream no matter how tempermental he was to harm someone who didn't deserve it especially towards the weak. Monty was an accomplished warrior and someone who was up for any challenge. A daredevil." "He was a good cook too!" Joker shouted out from the crowd, earning some nodding.

"Well said, Joker. He was a good. Literally. I think a better cook than Joker." "Hey!" Joker crossed his arms and grumbled, "I'm now better than a dead guy." Gambler chuckled and patted the coffin. "Anyways, I can stand here all night to tell you all the good that this demon has given even when he didn't want to however he would want this short and sweet. I only ask that we all give him a moment of silence to look back on our inteaction with him. When your finished with your silences and prayers you are free to leave to your vehicles and head to the resturant for a meal that I have planned out." She said with a bow of her head and moved away to the very back to watch everyone do as she asked, the silence enveloping them completely to respect Monty.

Kalore nodded, taking in a breath before he closed his eyes for a moment, thankful that they were able to get past Gambler but when he was faced with the coffin of cherry wood, his eyes watered but he calmed himself. Gambler had even mentioned that he was going to end up losing himself here… no, he wouldn’t lose himself but it was hard to face the coffin and act like a business associate that had no connections to this man. He knew that it wasn’t something that he could deal with but as they sat in the crowd, he kept his eyes on the coffin, not saying a word. No one that he knew was there, but that wasn’t a surprise. It wasn’t like Monty took him out to see his friends or anything; he had friends, he assumed but… no, he had never seen them.

Instead, he listened to the small words given by Gambler, his eyes unable to go to the woman for he knew that if he did that then he wouldn’t be able to keep his composure. So angry, he was so angry at the other for making him have to hide who he was and for making it to where no one could come that was of ‘his’ kind. Monty had helped out some of Dusk’s group and he knew that some of them actually would want to pay their respects; not many, but there were some. But the woman hadn’t allowed it, hadn’t even allowed him there… and anger was the only emotion he had for a moment before he forced his gaze down. He couldn’t lose himself in any sense of the word, and he wasn’t going to. No… no, he wasn’t going to lose himself.

Taking in a breath, Kalore didn’t get up as everyone paid their small respects to the demon, instead he kept the slim box in his hand, shaking some. If he placed something on the coffin, where he had noticed a few memorial items had been placed, then Gambler was sure to know but… screw it. He was going to go up there, but it was going to take him a bit of time. Waiting for nearly fifteen minutes, Kalore didn’t move, not looking up, not doing anything until his ear twitched some from under the hat. He looked up, noticing that some of the last people had left the sight, leaving the coffin sight bare. Another breath and he stood up, opening the small box as he saw the two flowers, entwined around one another; one a blood red fire flower, oranges, yellows, and blacks littering the petals, the other an emerald green rose. He nodded some as he stepped forward to the coffin, placing the box gently there, his hands folding as he tilted his head down, unable to risk speaking out loud, but a prayer was said.

For the first time in months, he felt a small breeze blowing past him, his hair moving as he looked up, his small earring dangling down, making soft chiming noises as he touched it, sighing softly. “I’ll miss you.” Whispering the words in elvish, he touched the coffin, his breath catching. He wanted Monty back… he wanted him back so badly but he couldn’t risk Gambler thinking too much of ‘Gideon’ being there by the coffin. Hell, he had probably already been caught but the flowers had been placed, the meaning obvious. It wasn’t like someone wouldn’t know who had placed them if they saw the flowers, but Kalore turned, beginning to walk back. Hopefully this didn’t cause Joker any problems, though…

Gambler watched as everyone was slowly leaving. Most murmured softly to her as she nodded at them, murmuring back soft words. To some she wanted them to wait in their cars so that she may go with them back to continue their meetings. They were never ending. Yet they needed to be done before everything else was set into motion. Yeah all this just to do one thing.

Mentally shaking herself, the woman watched this Gideon place some on the coffin, watching this male's movement. The way he moved seemed familiar. It was more graceful than any male she has seen walking. Not only that but it was highly odd for Joker to bring anyone with him anywhere no matter the occassion.

That was alright she walked over to the coffin, placing a red rose in the middle. Motioning with her hands a small group of men picked up the coffin, with some difficulty and lowered the coffin into the earth and started to throw the dirty over it. Sighing softly she turned and walked towards Joker, taking his hand. "Joker. Go ahead and take your friend to the car and out of this rain. But come back to my car so I can tell you something important alright?"

Joker blinked and nodded, looking at Gideon. Gambler did too. "Thank you Mister Gideon for coming and giving my comrade a parting gift to take with him. I'm sure he will apprecitate it." Giving Kalore a long look she turned to walk back to her car, some cars leaving while others didn't.

The insane man waited long enough and watched Kalore. "Come on. I don't want to keep you out here in the cold rain."

It had taken him a while to actually get over to the other, but as he did he took in a breath, shaking his head some. This wasn’t easy and as the sound of dirt hitting the coffin sounded, he closed his eyes, opening them only when he heard someone coming. It was Gambler and he forced himself just to nod at the other, looking at her with a careless glance, wanting to say so many things to this woman but… no. No, he couldn’t do that. Instead, he just nodded again, taking the umbrella once more so that he could make his way out of the tent, his ear twitching as he heard the sound of the dirt hitting the coffin once more. Pain wrecked his body before he was able to get to the car, but the moment that he did, he just got in, closing the door and leaning back.

His eyes closed tightly, nodding some as Joker went to go see Gambler. What was that about? He realized that he really didn’t care and he didn’t want to think about it. No, no thoughts should be in his mind other than that of Monty, those that involved the two together when things were fine. So many nights, so many morning, so many hours had been spent with just the two of them together, laying in bed, taking showers, laying out in the sun, swimming… He wanted that time back. As he took in another breath, sinking lower in the seat, he realized that there wasn’t going to be another chance for someone like him to come back. It… It was painful, so painful, to think of that as he began to lean over, hugging himself. Screw it if he was seen by Gambler like this. He just didn’t care anymore.
PostPosted: Mon May 23, 2011 7:18 pm

Gambler sat in the back seat of her car with her driver up front and another male next to her. He was seated in the dark, completely shadowed as the clouds became thicker and made the night seem to fade into a pitch black world. Joker followed and frowned as he was to wait outside while she looked at him through the window, showing only her sunglasses. "Something you needed Gam?" "Yes. There is something I want."

The silence followed and dragged on. "Well? What is it?" Gambler leaned close so with the window going lower so that he could hear her clearly. "I would like for you to leave Area 6 right now with your friend. Since I never told you about my new rules, it's only fair to let you still live as well as this Gideon." Joker didn't flinch of blink, he didn't even get pale. "So...Right now? Will I have a chance to get some things?" "No. Now would be fine." With that, she closed the window and ordered her driver to drive off.

Joker was left there in the rain, getting wet despite his rain gear and walked back to the car, entering it but not looking at the elf he had been trying to hide. "Kalore? There's something I have to tell you." The elf was going to hate his guts and think Joker was worthless to help anyone.

Hearing the other come into the car, Kalore didn’t look up as he knew the tone of voice that Joker had. He took in a breath, shaking his head some as he just curled up into himself, his arms around his legs, his face hidden between his knees. “You were caught.” He had known that it wasn’t going to work the moment that he had placed the flowers on the other’s grave, but now he knew where it was. If he decided to come back… he would come back. He didn’t care what Gambler said, he would come back. Kalore would cut off his hair if he had to, but he couldn’t just walk away from Monty; he couldn’t ever do something like that.

Tears silently began to roll down his cheeks but he wouldn’t move, wouldn’t show his face as he kept close to himself. His words were done, his mind lost. Kalore wasn’t too sure that he could really focus on much of anything for the next bit but… “Are you… Are you going to go into Ellwood ever? Or Harl? Kit still lives there just… just in a different apartment.” New subject, that’s what he wanted. Kalore surely thought that Gambler was only going against him and maybe some of those that had been rude to Monty and maybe her, but… there really weren’t that many. Kit and Eldin and Ziggy and all of them… they could still be around, right?
PostPosted: Mon May 23, 2011 7:39 pm

Joker sighed and dropped his shoulders. "I failed you. I'm sorry Kalore. I'll take you back there but I don't think after letting this happen can show my face. I totally messed up." He said, banging his head against the steering wheel without flinching or feeling much pain that one normally felt when doing that hard enough.

"I don't want to be a burden to you guys." He said, starting to drive away once he stopped banging his head. Then again he did promise Kit he would visit and smiled. "On second thought, let's go to Kit. I promised I would visit and this might be a good time to do that." Sure he was leaving his practice but that was going to be taken cared of by Gambler despite her wanting him to leave.

He didn’t speak for a while, instead Kalore sighed, shaking his head as he looked up, gently wiping at his face. “No… I shouldn’t have thought that it would be this easy… I mean… I left something for him so… of course she was going to know I wasn’t some associate.” He sighed softly, shaking his head again as he looked up, biting his lip. Why was he stuck with all of this? he wasn’t too sure but as he looked down again… he just took in another breath, having to focus himself. “You got me here, Joker… I now know where he’s buried and I was able to pay my respects. For that I’m thankful for. Come, though. We need to go visit Kit.” He would need a place to stay so that he could center himself again before getting all of Monty’s things, though it was few, out of his home.
