The poor, poor, strictly Christian brought up Adele had absolutely no idea where to look when she saw Meryl's undressed state. The tips of her pumps seemed like a very good idea, so she kept her eyes almost glued to them as she walked in and took a seat and the very edge of the bed.

"Sorry to call...I just thought it would be nice to take you up on the offer," she muttered, moving her eyes from her shoes to her fingernails. The nail varnish was shipping, she noticed with some annoyance.

"No problem. I was just doing some research work - was getting bored anyways." She said with a chuckle, looking over her shoulder to watch the girl sit on the edge of the bed.

Dropping her towel, Meryl reached down to a little basket atop a chest of drawers within the closet and pulled out a pair of panties. Pulling them on, she pulled on the small skirt for the business suit, making sure the skirt was hugging her hip nicely and wasn't riding up her legs like it had before, before grabbing the business jacket of the suit and pulling it on. Buttoning it up kept everything neatly packaged, showing off a bit of cleavage but not enough to make people question wether she was wearing anything underneath.

The thought that she might be making the girl nervous never once crossed Meryls mind. She was a free spirit, totally free - she did what she wanted when she wanted to.

Which was why, when she turned, she threw her arms open, displaying herself to Adele. "Waddya think? Be honest." She said with a broad grin. Her hair was a bit messy, but she was going to go do that afterwards - honest.

As the sun sets, a small, dingy looking boat approaches the ports of Latent, a young man kneeling at its bow in silent contemplation...Even from afar, this place seems the exact opposite of Lunarios...where his home had been a quiet, hidden place, this city was active, was...alive. Also, it was far enough away from the Moon village where he could safely start anew, could live without the burden of his banishment weighing across his shoulders...As the bow glides within range of an available docking space, the young man leaps ashore, wrapping his father's black cloak tightly around his shoulders and heading across the wooden maze towards the mainland...At his side, a vicious looking sickle bounces lazily...

First object...to find lodging. Second...I must find employment. From the looks of some of the types around him, the latter might not be too hard for someone of his skill set...But the first would be plenty difficult due to his lack of funds...

Ten minutes, twenty minutes, thirty minutes pass, and the young man's search proves fruitless time after time...Not only did he only have limited funds to start, but his currency was that of the southern continent, worth a lot less across the sea...This may prove problematic...

Sighing, the young man looks at his full bankroll...about 100 creschens. Over here, that came out to about fourty five pieces of Silver, not even enough to rent a room for one night. Never one to worry for long, the young man turns down a side road, looking around for another port fixture...Taverns.

"A few days maybe... I dunno..." To tell the truth, Kana hadn't had a decent meal or a decent night's sleep in ages. It was like the days before she'd met her friends, when she had done nothing but travel.

"Well...would you like it if we had something to eat then? I also have a place here, you can get plenty of rest there. I'm curious to learn where you've been, the past week or so.." And if you know where my brother went at all...

Kana looked up at him for a moment. She couldn't get past the fact that he looked just Vahn had when he was Kasuga. Why had his appearance changed? Why did he feel so odd to her? It was so frustrating. "That sounds good... and perhaps you can feel me in on why your appearance has changed..."

He hesitated for a moment, the moment dragged on-- before he allowed his arm to wrap about her waist. Leading her to the side, and away from the busy street, as he searched for a more secluded spot.

"You do know... I just dyed my hair, right? I just didn't feel like parading around with it anymore." He said dismissvely, as if it were the most boring topic in the world and they should move on to something else.

Victor was no stranger to politics, and he knew very well that the both of them were choosing their words carefully, or at the very least he was. While the guest before him was indeed a very grand benefactor on his part, Victor remained wary of his intentions.

but likes with most other people under his employ: he knew they were using him to some degree, but as long as he got some use out of them as well, all was well.

"Suit yourself then." Victor let a finger play out over the desk, apparently pressing something; for only moments later did a sharply dressed female enter, carrying a tray with two glasses of water, placing it down atop the table, and giving the man seated in front of Victor a cusory glance, before exiting just as quietly.

"I've sent someone to track him down... Unless you have something else in mind? You never did tell me what you wanted with the boy bearing the markings of the sun."

"Oh its not me that wants him. It's you," Henry shifted, placing both his hands together and looking straight at Victor. "You can't win any of this unless you seperate him from your brother. Together they can very easily knock you from that arrogant perch of yours."

The chair creaked as he let that settle in the now silent office for a few moments. Then he got up, stretching a bit.

"Seperate, you'll be able to kill your brother and attain your goals, probably with help from that boy, if the right doors become open within his mind." Something clattered on the desk in front of Victor. Two masks, horrifically designed grinning and frowning features reflecting the coming sunset.

"These'll help you open those doors. Attach them to someone uneccessary to you and let them loose. I'm assuming the person you already sent has his own version..." Henry leaned over the desk so that he was nose to nose with the other man. There was humour there, in those eyes, but there was also a kind of leathality that probably would make most extremely uncomfortable. "Best not try to kill the sun boy again, Victor, or you will fall...and no idiot is ever going to pull you out again."

And the shadows scattered...the office brightend significantly with Henry's passing.

She allowed herself to be led away. "No no, that's not it... You don't look like Vahn anymore... you look like you did when you were Kasuga... and there's just something different about you... but I can't quite place what it is..."

"I... When the stadium was in danger.. I used up all the power I had left in me... and it-- well, see for yourself. I'm still learning the affects of what I did..." Yellowed eyes held her gaze, inside hoping this excuse would quench her curiousity for now.

"All that really changed about me was a name. Nothing more."

"Oh..." That was all she said. It had happened before, it could happen again. He really didn't seem all that different. Maybe she was just being paranoid. "So, where are we going?"

"You said you were hungry right?" Victor raised his hand, scratching at the back of his neck and looking down the block, spotting a promising place. "Let''s go eat then. Don''t mind a bakery do you?"

"Not at all... I love baked go..." Kana trailed off, blinking. "Damn... I don't have any form of currency on me..." She grumbled. It appeared that she would have to dig into her reserves again. Where her hoarde of riches was, only she knew. XP

"It's fine. Perfectly---" He leaned in, fingers brushing against her ear, and slightly tickling, before he moved his fingers away and in between them, held coins of gold.

"--fine."

Kana grinned at him, shaking her head. "I couldn't let you pay, that would be rude."
