[[Oh, okies. Maybe will pick him up and bring him home on the trip, him momeh must miss him xD]]

of course! She's wondering where the hell he's at! LOL But being Queen she isn't just gonna pick up and leave the pride, well, not until she renounces her title. wink Maybe Mwali and you guys could be there to talk to her before she makes her announcement to the pride. This way she can do her best to make sure none of you travelers get hurt by the other lionesses.

Mwali kept on forward, the form of the golden king closing in on the horizon. He was slowing in his pace though he was hardly aware of it... it was apparent that he was nervous in meeting with the king face-to-face again. Their last encounter was little less than uncomfortable. Aside from the laughter from a bird, a few rather dirty looks, and a cluster of harsh accusations of crimes he was hardly aware of- the king didn't seem to approve of him. Thinking back on all of that, Mwali assumed that had the others not been there with him- he'd have been turned away. In fact he was pretty sure of it. That was the last time any of the royals had spoken to him... they seemed to keep their distance from him- as did many of the other pride landers. Koho and Sukutu seemed to be the exception to that rule - aside from his little band from his homeland.

Taking a deep breath he stood himself up as proudly as he could manage- though his tail curled slightly inbetween his legs, it was something he had little control over. As the king approached
he bowed his head, curling a paw under him respectfully as he'd seen the others in his land do for his father, "Your... highness...."

The brown adolescent turned towards Mwali before his eyes looked on the king, he quickly stepped down before bowing his head respectfully to him, hope he wouldn't notice he had grown.

"Your majesty..." He started after Mwali. "Me and Mwali would like to ask permission to leave for the Firekin lands..."

His ears flattened against his head, but not so much that he wouldn't be able to hear the kings response, but he wasn't really hoping for the best.

Koho remained stationary as the boys scurried off to find the king. She sighed and shook her head, Sukutu was growing every day, but he still had that cub playfulness.... Hopefully it wouldn't get him into too much trouble. Her soft amber eyes rolled to the sky as she chuckled internally. She was shocked quickly out of her musings at the sound of a near, but weak roar. Her pulse quickened, there were no lions in the pridelands that sounded like that were there? She couldn't identify it with any of the lioness, no it was definately male. Her brain was clouded over with worry, she had let her guard down, a male had entered the pridelands and now someone was going to be hurt over her unattention. She was immediately forced into motion, bounding towards a rock ledge hidden under the king and queen's ledge. It was the perfect look out spot. As her strong paws met the cool rock, her claws digging for traction, Sukutu in all his glory came into her vision. The little cub really had grown, and his vocal cords has grown along with him. She smiled, her pulse slowly ebbing down to a normal rate. She really was worrying too much.... She listened intently for Mufasa's return, and then Mwali, "My, my, he's getting bold." She acknowledged under her breath. From her position she could see the King's golden hide seperating itself from the rest of the tall grasses, she would watch over their meeting, see how it went.

-Mufasa slowed softly as he neared the two growing males, casting only a soft glance back, to make sure Maawio was far enough behind, before he finally dipped his head in soft greeting.

It was indeed the rouge, but also Sukutu? His eyes lifted softly in search of his mother, though she didn't seem to be around from what he could see. Sweeping the thought away, he offered a tired, but warm enough smile, asking cautiously.- Mwali, Sukutu. "Is there something that.."

-He broke off softly as the younger male's abrupt question touched the land. Unsure about the vagueness of the request he had to wonder.. what had the plague done to the outter lands? These young beasts really didn't THINK they were going to go over and take over, did they? Unless the Firekin were far more different then he'd encountered in the past Mwali would be slaughter as a traitor for returning... Unless.

His glance, no, stare rest upon Sutuku. The Firekin were known for taking slaves.. taking other lions and beasts to work under their heavy paw. But... if Mwali really was that heartless wouldn't someone here have happened upon it? Pushing the thought away again, he returned his glance to the red lion.- "You don't 'really' indeed to trying to push your way into power under the devastation that the plague has caused, have you?"

With nothing he could do witht he strange lions that were congregated on the border of the Firekin and Prideland border Kimeti grew tired of prowling around them vocalizing his warnings. With one last roar he shook his head, causing his growing mane to rid itself of some dust that had collected in it before stalking off. He didn't stray far from the borderline though. He was intrigued by the greenery that was growing and the many trees that were scattered in the territory.

Lowering his head and brushing his nose along the grass Kimeti growled softly. There was definitly a pride here. Lifting his head to the gentle breeze that flowed through the air the scent of lionesses and lions was very pronounced, but one scent was awfully familiar. It was almost like he was smelling his father but there was something different about it. Taking a few cautious steps across the bounddary and into the pridelands he quickly noted that the vegetation littering the ground felt quite different under his paws compared to the gritty feeling of sand, but wasn't as warm. Also, the air itse;f seemed to grow cooler as he moved further into the land.

A few paces from the boundary Kimeti stopped, not daring to go any further. The scent of a dominant male, most likely the kind of the pride, was quite strong and he knew, though he had grown, he would nver be able to take on someone of such strength. That familiar scent though was peeking his cub curiosity.

Edit: (Add on)
Deciding he could creep a bit closer without causing too much trouble, Kimeti did just that. Careful to keep a good eye on his surroundings, Kimeti moved further in the Pridelands, his ears alert, swiveling upon his head, and his head low. Should he need to dart from the land of green he was ready. All muscles quivered under his deep red hued coat as he moved as gracefully as a growing adolescent could.

-He'd thought he'd heard something else before.. but he'd quite figured it to be part of Mwali and Sutuku's callings. As the boys appeared before him though, it became apparent that the other calls were something 'different'.

-The soft rustle of grass, louder now in it's plague induced dryer state caught the king's attention, and he turned his glance momentarily towards the shuffle. Eyes very carefully kept on where the new comer was hidden, who ever it was.-

"I see you there... there isn't a need to hide anymore."

Kimeti instinctivly fell to his stomache as the king spoke. He growled slightly, not liking the idea that he had been spotted. Now what to do? He could run for it, but a glance back towards the boundary told him he had strayed a little further than he had wanted to and might be caught by the King of the pride should he flee. But staying there didn't appear to be much of a choice either.

The scent of the familiar lion was very strong in the area though. Was he with the one who had spoken to him, Kimeti, or was he off somewhere else? Peering through the foliage he had been stalking through, Kimeti caught sight of a red hide. Curiosity getting to him, he lifted his head above the foliage to look at the group of males standing there.

Oh wonderful. There's three of them. Though his instincts were telling him to flee, another part of him was screaming at Kimeti to stay. That red male lion was awfully familiar. In fact, he looked like a Firekin! But that couldn't be. Both father and grandfather had died, the only other male who had been in the pride was Mwali and he had dissapeared. Mother never said anything about him though. Did his uncle flee to these lands?

No matter, that was not an issue at the moment, right now his own life was in peril with the golden male standing in front of him.

-Mufasa blinked a little softly as the young Firekin lifted himself from the grasses. Certainly, a young one was better then another adult entering secretly, but it still was curious. And beyond that, this one looked so scared.. Almost like the gazelle they hunted, ready to bolt off at the slightest movement.

Glancing back to Mwali for a moment, as if to ask if it was his doing, he finally turned back to the young red lion.- "Travelling across the borders isn't something one does out of fancy.. Do you need something little one?"

"Oh certainly not...", Mwali shook his head, looking a bit shocked at the very notion, "I don't even truely wish to return, s-sir.... But...", He made little circles with his paws, trying to think of the best way to word it all. It was a difficult situation indeed and he wasn't sure if the ways of this land would have the king understand the position that he was in. Then again Mufasa was a royal and would have a bit of an idea of what was on Mwali's mind. "You see s-sir....I.... I'm th-the second born of the royals... my brother was the one to take the throne after my father. I figured that I wasn't needed around, he would have made a strong ruler, sir... according to their standards that is... I...wasn't taught their ways you see. I was just kind of there...but the...the plegue... it...well it killed my father and my brother, sir." He looked up to Mufasa slowly- obviously the young adult was having trouble speaking with the king, still fearing a harsh judgeent resting on his shoulders, "He had cubs, sir... and when I left there was only him and my father, sir.... the lionesses and cubs are all alone out there, a-and I think they need me... I... I don't want to go back but, the...they are family, sir."

He took a deep breath and looked down to Sukutu, "Sukutu and some others have asked to join me... Sir I promise no harm will come to them as long as I'm alive..." Looking back to Mufasa he looked perhaps more sheepish then before, "They are family, sir..."

Kimeti looke from the golden lion to the red one, though paying little attention to the one his age before speaking. "My mother spoke of a land of green when I was younger and since I am older now Ithought I'd try to find this land she spoke of. Apparently I found it, but what drew me here was a familiar scent. He moved a little closer and it was apparent that the scent was among one of the group.

"My uncle fled the pride when I was very young, well, that's what I've been told anyway. I don't really remember him actually." He peered at the red male more unsure of what to do. Could this be his uncle? He certainly had the red coat of a Firkein but that didn't mean he was a runaway from the pride either. The thought of running from the pride marked the one fleeing as a traitor, and should he find his uncle he wasn't sure how to react. a Part of him wanted to get to know the lion he never really got the know while the voice of his father and grandfather spoke in his head, telling him Mwali was a traitor and should be treated as such.

Mwali's green eyes moved slowly from Mufasa to the cub, the voice was so firmilar... he could remember hearing it on days when Kui would bring the cubs out and around their lands. At seeing the little red cub his eyes widened quite a bit and his mouth fell open. It coudln't be- they had followed him there. He couldn't help but glance up nervously towards where the boarders lay- half expecting a large number of red dots to be slowly closing in on him... a trator in his lands he'd be but he knew that they'd know who his father was and for that little fact they'd be forced to stay their paw with him. Looking back to the cub he could hardly find words. For a moment or two the cub's name escaped him. He through hard on it- trying to remember his brother's voice calling them all by name when he had been introduced to his litter. "Kimeti? What are you doing here?!"

-Remaining silent for a long moment Mufasa tried to sort the details of the story, actually closing his eyes in the silence.

He didn't feel any reason why the Firekin shouldn't go. His family needed him.. and even if it would be a sting of sorts to have him leave after all he'd been through here and fall into the Firekin mentality again. Though... if his words were true.. perhaps a new kinder pride could be formed with what the plague had left behind.

It was more his family that he worried for. If Mwali was lying.. and left and returned with strong males who knew how safe he could keep his pride? Or if he stayed in the Firekin lands.. how many of his pride was he losing? Would the pride be too broken apart during the absence to keep the Pridelands protected and alive? How many lioness' had the firey male swayed to his side?

Sighing a little, he sat, obviously heavy in thought.- "Are you leaving for good? Or do you intend to lead your family this way? And exactly who are you planning on joining you in your travels?"

-So lost was he in these thoughts, that he simply offered a nod towards the 'seemingly' harmless youth, allowing him to speak to Mwali instead.-

Kimeti's eyes snapped from his scanning of the three lions to land upon the one who had just spoken his name. Mixed emotions ran through him but his father and grandfather's teaching were most dominant. Growing Kimeti curled his lips back. "Mwali. I should be asking you the same thing! You left the pride, you traitor! With father and grandfather dead there's no adult males to take the throne and mother is alone as queen! You could have been there to help us. There is not much left of the pride now. Hope you weren't ever hoping to return because there might not be a pride for long. Only Walii, Waka and my mother are left as adults. Can't get much food with just three expierenced lionesses." His anger was rising as he spilled forth all the trouble that had befallen the once proud pride, and here stood Mwali who looked like he was thriving in the pridelands. Apprently a life in the desert was too much for his uncle.

Mwali opened his mouth to address the questions that the king had brought up but soon fell silent at the cub's words. His eyes turned to the ground and if possible the lion looked a bit smaller with how he shunk into himself. If a cub... a little cub thought him to be a trator then he'd hate to think what the rest of the pride thought. But the cub's little statement confirmed what he had been thinking all along- there was no male to keep the pride together. "I... I'm so sorry, Kimeti... please understand why I had to leave. I had no place there. No lioness would have me, my own father hardly cared if I was alive or not, and I thought that my brother... your father... would take command of the pride. Don't get me wrong, little one... I loved my brother but I had no place there when he was to take the throne. It's the way things are in a pride sometimes."

He sighed, turning back to Mufasa, "Honestly sir, I don't know. All I know is," he motioned towards the cub, "My family needs me, sir. I don't even know if I'll remain alive for long upon returning but sir... a good lion never turns his back on his family, sir. No matter what....I can understand why you don't trust me, sir... I can. If I don't have your permission, if I manage to return and am forced to leave again, I'll.... do what I can on my own sir."
