AkatsukiAssassin I play flute! I have a Germeinhardt [sp?] flute, thats open hole...and supposidly its made out of silver. When I used to be in band I was usually first, or second chair. But the thing is...I hate playing. biggrin
gonk Yeah, my flutes pretty new...and I didn't even take out those plastic things stuck in the holes yet...so technically its not open hole. I feel lazy to just take them out. *sweatdrop* And I've been playing for umm... around 5 years. :3 awesome! my flute should be here by the end of the week, monday the latest... im so excited... u sead uv been playing 5 years? what grade r u in and how old r u? ive only been playing for 71/2... i started lessons last year, but when we moved i had to find someone else... my teacher's really great and plays wonderfully, but i can't produce some of the sounds she can and some notes(like E flat and E and some high notes) i can't make in tune, so she doesn't teach as well as my other teacher... How long have u been taking lessons? U sound like ur pretty awesome. I was in first chair at my old school, but since i came late to my new school, i got bumped to third and the teacher didn't even give me a test!! I really should be second, but next year, I'll be first!! (seniors all the way!!) I also hope to join the Louisiana Youth Symphony Orchestra (but I don't care what chair)... I was also wondering if uv done anything like this... or if anyone has for the matter. I want to know what its like to be in this kind of thing. (Ive been to some honor bands before, but not orchestra)

(seniors all the way!!!) i do wish i had a piccolo though... xd
1) How much is THAT costing you!
2) Where can I get one?!it cost around $2000 and i got mine from a company that sells them... if you go the http://www.gemeinhardt.com you can look at all the flutes... of course there are better flutes out there, but i prefer gemeinhardt cause they are one of the intermediate best!! ^_^ u have to be sure that u are going to be playing into college with ur intrument if u are wanting a flute like this... its important to stick to ur instument... and its a good idea to take lessons... ive been taking them for a year, and ive improved so much... daaang. eek My friend just got a neon green clarinet. xD yeah... u might wanna tell him not to break it, cause those things can't be fixed... ive heard that the colored instruments don't produce the best sounds stare and it kinda makes him stand out when there's a bunch of other people playing so everyone is gonna look at him... its supposed to be a unified band first of all, it's a SHE. xD The sound the instrument produces also depends on the person playing the instrument, and after we got her tuned she sounded just fine and she didn't stand out all. 3nodding -I'm well aware of the fact that a band is supposed to 'blend'

Jowolfen RinoaHeartilly Jowolfen omfg!concert is tomorrow!!omg we suck!!!its sad...and contest id friday...and theres only 2 flute players... domokun practice...? We have like, 20 flutes per band in my school. xDD So that's about... 40 flutes. Woah. well,its not me that sux.its all those damn trumpets!!they screw us up so bad every time!they need to practice....alot! stressed i hate it when other people don't care about how they sound and other people are trying so hard to make the band sound good. x___x I can't wait til I'm outta varsity.

we sounded so good yesterday night at our concert...suprisingly.and my man was there...we kept lookin at each alot...and he is already taken...and the highschool has to wear them gay suits,which they have clothes under,and he undressed right in front of me...and he smiled at me a few times too... whee

I have state festival this Saturday, but I'm actually ready for it eek ! I just hope my friend figures out why his clarinet keeps squeaking (he's first chair). It's happened like 10 times in the last 2 days, two of which caused half the band to start laughing cuz they were so loud xd .
I dunno if I already posted here, but I'm second chair flute in the varsity band at my school (whoo!). I like playing and plan to do so after high school (not pro, just for fun blaugh ).

Mine was only $50, and therefore, pure crap. It's hopeless, so I've been borrowing my 26 year old friend's flute. I want a Geimenhardt open-holed flute. I love Geimenhardt. That's what my borrowed flute is. I've seen those colored flutes on Ebay. I'm pretty sure they're crappy, but if I had the money, I'd defenitely buy a blue or purple one. Actually, a blue piccolo would be wicked.
