I'm quoting you to let you know the event is extended to next Wednesday, AND we're having another 24-hour blast of fun tomorrow (Saturday Sept. 29th) where we can have fun and win more points for our team. I'm a bit confused. Is the second Saturday event going to take place in the same thread as the last one? And is it basically just allowing a second day of entries for the avi contest and haiku? So the only new things are another round of posting raffles and the team game right?

I don't think you can enter the avatar or haiku contests more than one time total, but for folks who missed the first day of festivities, it gives them a chance to join in. There will be a new posting game (different rules, and I think this one will be even more fun than the last game last week) and of course the other games and contests around the subforum will continue to take entries.
I would like to enter the Cascadians Avatar Contest, Please! I enter as a Creature. My (optional) story is: Ametrine is a former denizen of Aquarian territory, but after her mischief offended one too many clan members, she was forced to flee into Cascadian waters. She is generally apathetic towards clan mer, but will occasionally trade them some resources that she scavenges in exchange for trinkets. The shinier the better. She has also been known to hunt a two-legger or two if they refuse to bargain for some glittery prize upon which she sets her eye. A flooded ruin near Havasu falls is where she now makes her home. You can recognize her land by the bits of animal skulls and bones scattered about the riverbed. Generally speaking, treat Ametrine with respect, and she'll tolerate you fairly well.
Also, hello. I'm your newest team member! Ametrine isn't big on being a team player, but I managed to persuade her to wear a the team color in a pendant and on her circlet. That's all we're going to get, I think. lol Also, if it's not clear on the avi, she's a cecaelia, an octopus mer.
