Gotef blinked a couple times. She had never quite seen a being like this, but she had been battle hardened enough not to be intimidated easily by the unknown. She contemplated the last statement briefly, the image of a warrior with a demonic claw flashing to her mind. She chuckled, shifting to sit cross-legged, then began to speak. "These ARE my weapons." She raised her left hand, balled into a fist, pointedly. Her voice was a rich, deep Alto, having no harshness in it despite what one might assume from her chiseled form. Even sitting, her unknown aid was still virtually at eye level. "Though now that you mention it, there IS a Smith that I'm looking for. Have you heard of one 'Rota Abyssian'?" It was a 50-50 shot at this point. If she was correct that he had come here, he would either make himself known the most bombastic way possible, or he would have remained so despondent that she would have no hope of finding him. There was no in-between with him.

Cthaer stopped noticing that ominous wind, and relaxed as much as he figured that was possible for him. Illfang returned to its sheath and he stood, relaxed but coiled, like a viper. It was impossible to tell where he might spring, but it was apparent that he was always ready to respond. Illfang was suddenly in his hand. It was hard to see when he had drawn it. He tapped it on his chin. Just a single bad touch of that iridescent, venomous blade would be enough to kill him. "Rota... Abyssian... Hmmm. Nope. Never heard of him." He chuckled and grinned before flipping open his journal, styled as a ledger, and tossing her the book with the infamous screenshot of Alyx and Rota fighting Bakugami. "Unless you mean that guy, Rota Abyssian. In which case just about everyone has heard of what he's done. Taking down a creature so powerful the entire sky went from gray to black. Scared people out of their minds when it happened. Apparently he fought it for fun with some guy he knows."

Gotef caught the ledger, and took a look at the scene. The first thing she noticed was being able to see it from all angles. This was a thing one of her teachers/allies could do, but she didn't expect to find it just out in the wild. maybe it was just as paltry of a trick as he had made it out to be. The second thing she noticed was the Boar creature. She couldn't HELP but look at it. Compared to what she had fought, this thing was a world-ender. The word 'Bakugami' had been placed near the creature as a labeling tool. While she would love to fight something like this, she was nowhere NEAR attuned to this world to be able to pull it off. Finally, her gaze met the warriors. The Man with a shield was a sight to behold. It was a fighting style she had only fought AGAINST, never alongside, so seeing it was a slight novelty to her. She made a mental note of this man, since few people can load themselves up head to toe with spider corpses and NOT be relevant in some fashion. The other one was nigh unmistakable, at a glance. Black and red gear, massive sword, helmet-less? It HAD to be Rota. However, doubts began to flow through her mind. upon looking closer, this warrior had no demonic left arm, NOR was his fire black. This would have caused IMMEDIATE dismissal, if not for the warrior's eyes. Crimson Irises, with Scarlet pupils. even in pictures of Rota's younger years, this was his eye color. The ultimate signature of his heritage. Either something in this world was suppressing the Demon within, or this was the most convincing copycat she had ever seen. She returned the ledger, this new information weighing heavily on her mind. "That certainly SOUNDS like Rota. Anybody know how to track him down?"

Cthaer pursed his lips and took a deep breath, contemplating. "I might know a guy." He flipped open his ledger and examined it. "I could pass along a message that you're looking for him." He couldn't just bring anyone who asked about a famous person to that person. Rota could definitely handle this woman, but there's no telling what kind of ambush she might bring with her. Cthaer wasn't about to put his sources in danger. He got quite a lot of his necessary supplies from those two. It wouldn't do to eliminate his most valuable trading contacts by leading an army gunning for their epic loot straight to them. "If you'd like."

Gotef thought about the offer for a moment, but knew in her heart what needed to be done as she shook her head. "Forget about it. I have too much doubt to be ready for that sort of thing right now. He'd only be upset with me if he knew I was here anyways." She turned her focus to he boy in front of her. "Regardless, where are my manners? I am Gotef Mythral. How may I address you?" She was raised better than to not show the proper courtesy to someone who had just saved her life...despite it being admittedly accidental. She had no measure of this one just yet. He spoke through layers of half-speak and facade, so it was hard to grasp true intention behind things. While she was confident that he would not kill her in her weakened state, as if he wanted to it would have been done already, she had few ideas of where things went from here.
