A slow nod of understanding became a firm nod of certainty. It wasn't that Mimsy had doubted him - she knew how easily external forces could slip into the cracks and firmly take hold, in spite of all logic or intentions. The thought was particularly fresh in her mind...and was largely the reason why she didn't move to strike anything, watching Kostya instead. Through the shouts, the sounds of weapons hitting exoskeletons, and the rapidfire tapping of thousands of little insect feet, she heard one angry series of words. Unsure of the progress of slaying this creature, Kat continued to try and avoid the worst of any oncoming attacks, but was fast growing fatigued. The fact that poison had began to take its toll didn't help matters at all.

It was a good thing it was dark enough that probably no one would be able to see Evan flush at the memory of that damn pie and all of the various messes it had left behind. "Quarterpint here may have caught me doing some laundry," he admitted.

It seemed to work, for her face brightened a bit. "Mark's okay," she said with a little nod. "Even if he has naughty photos I wish he didn't . . . He's just a sheepdog, really. Very fuzzy face and all." Gale's face warped a bit in her vision and she blinked hard as he ran a few fingers over her forehead and hair.
Allan's voice rang clear as a silver bell over the din for a moment and Stormy automatically flinched, waiting for the bright flash. When nothing happened, she relaxed and forced herself to give Gale a smile. Whether it was the sun leader's words or Gale's brief affectionate action, she felt a little more ready to tackle the beastie and stood up. "Cuddles are always great when it's mutual~ But we should probably save that discussion for later, huh? Still have the Kraken and the Black Pearl to worry about."
She cast a glance out at the creature and pondered.

Both the taller hunters would once against feel the impact of bony elbows at the small of their backs, though Evan's blow may have been a little harder. Quarterpint, really?

Ryan was on a roll of attempted division lead assassination. Because not only did he almost hit Caelius, he almost hit H. Again.

Thanks to the life division's leads chastising words, Ryan's attention was drawn away from the creature, just as he was about to strike. Though he managed to hit, somehow, it was a sad fraction of what it should have been.

Something large and black came sailing over Matt's head as he grabbed his spear. He swung up but his blade never came in contact with the creature, instead a couple of insects managed to chew on him while he still laid on the floor. Matthias Jane Duffy HP: 9/40 Damage: 0 Attacking: Boss Buff: Your attack nearly hits the Death lead (Caelius). He is pissed, you see a sort of not quite sane gleam in his eyes.... You go sprawling and take - 10 auto damage your next turn. Charge: 3/3 Ability: Moon - Cure Poison Currently Poisoned.Boss HP: A Miss so N/A

Zombies, Spiders, and Darkness, Oh My.
There was just very little that he could do or say when she'd asked if Lucky was possessed other than to offer a non-committal shrug that showed that he wouldn't have doubted it. Yet he simply said, "I doubt i--,"
Then the lights went out.
He braced for another ear shattering scream, but he didn't seem to hear anything. His first thought was she'd finally died of a heartattack while on the job, at least until he felt her trembling next to him. The young man didn't get up to fight for now, because he'd made a promise to Maebe. The others had it under control and the skittering of arachnids or something with too many legs went over his skin, but all he cared about was that Maebe would snap out of it.
So long as she didn't start strangling Lucky again.
Jude reached out a hand and he touched her shoulder, "Hey. You aren't alone in the dark, count that little blessing," he said quietly to her. "I'm here, Lucky is here. We're all here." He was trying to draw her out of her fear, "We gotta fight, Maebe. Or we might die or others we care about get hurt."
There was a pause. She'd only just woken up, but maybe she cared for him and Lucky just enough to stand up and fight, that or she was a straight up sociopath that was just scared of the dark. Either way.

Saya was everywhere on the battlefield, navigating through attacking hunters and hunters that were bring thrown back in battle. She ducked, suddenly finding herself by Gale and Stormy. Gale looked like he was still in fairly good condition, as Saya glanced at the fighting.
Stormy it was.
"H-Hi! No time for introductions but you're Gale's friend and that's what counts! You look a little out of shape so I'm jus tgoing to .. do what a Moon does and bring you right back up, ok?" She flashed a bright smile, pressing her fingers against her weapon to heal once more.
Prompto was pretty tired at this point.

His vision returned, and he managed to brush off as many spiders as he could see, but the feeling was still there. Even though he wasn't blinded, he could barely breath and his vision felt dim. Clutching his body, he went to fire again before he was shouted at from afar.
Looking over, he noticed a group of hunters further off, and a Mist came over to shout at him for not being in the group and just standing there. Storming past and destroying spiders in her path, she shoved him aside and right into the spiders as she shouted at him to get back with the group. After a few minutes of silence, Glenda suddenly had company.
"Oh my," she chortled, suddenly feeling refreshed. She clambered up and out, squinting at the giant monster with a determined glint in her eye.
"Thank you, dear. Miss Glenda owes ya a favor."
She whipped out a fresh cigar and lit it expertly, balancing it on her lips as she brandished her weapon and prepared for another go.

The floor seemed like a pretty good place to stay at the moment as the poison started to make its way through his system. He felt sick like he was going to hurl up everything he had eaten.
