I'm not quite sure what combustion is, she said before standing up and smoothing out the front of her dress. Sure, let's go to this arcade. Where is it?
((Do you wanna post first?))
Sure, the boy responded lowly, turning his attention back to the book he had been reading. A few seconds passed before he fully realized the girl had left. He finished reading the page he was on before closing the book and putting it back on the shelf, making his way down the aisle and after the girl. You know, he started once he caught up to her. What kind of 18th century literature are you looking for in particular?

Jasorne strolled into the mall through the foodcourt. Normally, he wouldn't bother with such crowded places, but the smell of food caught his interest. Jasorne studied the options available to him, choosing a small cart that seemed to be selling sweets. "One pumpkin muffin", he murmured to the vendor, placing the price total on the cart.

A girl who had been standing at the cart already looked to the newcomer and smiled. Are pumpkin muffins good? she asked sweetly, examining his order. She took a bite of a raspberry scone she had previously ordered.

Jasorne raised a brow and grabbed his muffin as the girl spoke to him. "Well, that depends on the person I guess. I pretty much like pumpkin everything." Jasorne felt his stomach grumble and winced. Looking at his stomach and then at his muffin Jasorne took a bite of it. "What'd you get?", he asked the girl moving from the cart so not to disturb traffic.

A scone, she replied, holding it up as if to show him. It's really good. Ginger took another bite and smiled to him with crumbs on her lips. After she swallowed, the girl licked her lips and grinned to the boy. So you like pumpkin flavoring? she asked, tilting her head. I've only ever had pumpkin pie before.

"There's pumpkin icecream, muffins, pie, and well- seeds." Jasorne sat at a table and pointed to the seat infront of him as if to invite her to join him. "I've never had a - um, scone?"

She joined him, sitting down across from the boy. Pumpkin ice cream even? she asked, her eyes widening a bit. I've never heard of such a thing in all my years! Ginger laughed softly, looking down to her scone. Well, a scone is like any other pastry I suppose. Kind of muffiny or cake-like. It's sort of hard to explain.

"Pumpkin ice cream is delightful", he said lapping his lips at the thought of some. "It's hard to come by, but it's a wonder." Jasorne stretched with a yawn before breaking off bits of his muffin and placing them in his mouth. "What's your name anyhow?", he asked her.

I've been called Ginger since I can remember, she answered in thought. Maybe it's because of my hair color, or it could be something else. The girl shrugged a shoulder before nibbling at what remained of her scone. And your name...?

Jasorne raised a brow and chuckled. "My name is Jasorne, though, I doubt it has anything to do with my hair color." Jasorne finished his muffin and grinned. "It's nice to meet you all the same", he said.

Well, Jasorne is a nice name anyhow, she nodded. Where are you from? Like, what's your family history and such? Ginger blushed softly and shook her head, mentally scolding herself for not making much sense. Forgive me, she started, looking to the table. I always get kinda confused in the presence of... the opposite gender.

Jasorne chuckled again, "Confused?", he asked her. "I'm not from here, I'm from a different realm. My younger sister liked it here and so she dragged me with her. It's not so bad now, but when summer comes around I don't know if I'll be able to stand the temperature." Jasorne frowned at the thought of warm weather and sighed. "How about you, Ginger?"

Ahh, you don't like the warmer weather? She looked over the boy, as much as she could see of him. You seem more like a wintery person. I could go either way, but prefer cooler weather myself. Ginger took a breath before continuing. I'm actually not from around here. I guess you could say I'm from another realm as well. I was born in the year of 1272; you can believe that or not. She winked at him before giggling lightly, eyeing the last bite of her scone. I heard about this place from an acquaintance and came here. I'm in hiding right now, she explained with a nod before putting the remainder of her pastry into her mouth.

"Hiding?", he asked her with a curious look. "Hiding from what?", he said watching her down her last bit of food. "I would of assumed you were a warm-weather person, you seem very- well. Cheery. I guess it's silly of me to associate warm weather with being cheery though", he said.

I can deal with warm weather... Ginger trailed off, thinking silently for a moment. I prefer cooler conditions though. Sometimes, the heat sort of messes with my thoughts. The girl closed her eyes lightly as she remembered the reasoning behind her hiding out in the Underground. Well, I came here to hide with a close... friend of mine. We're hiding from bad people. The enemy. She looked to Jasorne and smiled, half-wanting to change the subject, but not sure what exactly to change it to.
