Misty smiled, and kept her focus on getting every bullet she could out of him. "Maybe I should just hide out under the hammock or something for a while until I need to be out and about somewhere." she said with a small grin.

C.J. smirked. He would have laughed, but the bullets were kind of a pain. "Aww, I dunno about goin' THAT far, babe. We DO gotta make sure you're safe though." he said as he saw one bullet get pulled out and winced. "Ooooh . . . no wonder those two were followin' me. That coulda been deadly!" he quipped.

"On the bright side... I think you only have one or two more." she replied. She let the bullets she pulled out of him drop to the floor under the hammock. Each time she pulled one out, she'd stitch him up as best she could without hurting him. "And you'll have some hellova battle scars to show off and brag about for a while." she said with a small grin.

"That's good! hehe, wait 'til Arell sees these. He's gonna FLIP!" he joked as he saw the last bullets come out and the stitches come in. "Thank ya, babe. I owe you one." he said as he held her, despite the fact that he just got bullets surgically removed and stitched up without a little thing like painkillers, he seemed in very good spirits. Probably shouldn't mention the rescue mission yet. he thought.

"Oh no you don't. You've come to my rescue multiple times already. Least I can do is try to patch you back up." she said as she laid back down to make herself comfortable. Leaning her head on his shoulder. She had... no clue that he had made more deals. Or anything else that he had gotten himself into. Right now she didn't really care. For at least five minutes, they had some peace and quiet now.

C.J. smiled a little bit as he nestled in, almost forgetting his next mission. "Glad to do 'em . . . mostly 'cause I care for you. And a smidge 'cause it's fun." he mentioned as he held her close, relaxing. He could deal with the other s**t later. Right now, it was him and her, and that's all that mattered to him.

C.J. smiled warmly and held her. "You already are, love. Thank you." he said as he kissed her, relaxing. "Used to daydream about that stuff in school . . . being an adventurer. Rescuing people and all. Never thought it'd happen." he drawled, closing his eyes. You'd think we won tickets to Fantasy Island!
"What if this IS Fantasy Island? We didn't meet Tattoo or the fella in the suit, did we?"
((WHERE WERE YOU?!?))
"I got bored, so I went to see if I could get Lady Deadpool to come help bail out what's-'er-nuts over in that other dimension. Don't think she was home."
That would explain the disappearance. By the way, does THIS belong to anyone? *holds up Tattoo*
T: "DE PLANE, BOSS! DE PLANE!!"
((Nope. Did see him on TV though!))
"So does he THINK he's a plane or does he see a plane now?!"

Misty smiled and closed her eyes as well. "And now you've probably had a lifetime's worth of excitement within the last two days." she said, resting against him. Might as well rest while she could. Hard to say how long she'd get to before something else would happen.

C.J. smiled and relaxed. "I probably got shot enough times to EARN a few lifetimes. Maybe I oughta mention that to ol' hot-head!" he cracked as he rubbed her side, not dozing off QUITE yet, surprisingly for someone who had one hell of a day!

"Hm... not sure that will matter much unless you really do something for him in return." she replied. "He's good about doing favors, but he's a bit of an... well I shouldn't say anything bad about him until this all blows over."

Misty sighed gently. ”Me too. With the little ones.... over there.... we shouldn't have to worry about them getting hurt. When everything blows over, it should be safe to go get them. Provided someone who should be in jail IS in jail still.”

C.J. smirked. "Honey, my best friend in the whole wide world could take over a third-world country by himself. Hell, come to think of it, I think he told me he DID. Then again, we were both drunk when he told me that story, but either way, his gun safe's over there, and when he gets home, he's got more where that came from, babe." he said as he kisses her.
"Not to sound like I'm bragging, but he'd be safer back in the clink than here." he added, resting a bit . . . before his eyes shot open fast.
"Oh crap . . . the Circus! Babe, if we don't make it there, they're gonna get worried!"
((We've been to Hell and back, and THAT'S what you're worried about?!))
Hey, cut that guy some slack! Who knew Hades was a bit of a twerp?
"Betcha he'd piss himself if Arell showed up. Or Dundee. Remember that time he hacked his way into calling an air strike on a Mob hideout?"

Misty opened her eyes and sat up in the hammock just enough to look down at him. "The circus? Are they still expecting us down there, or... do they think we're still gone?" she asked. She had only made it as far as the tent they had various things stored at. She didn't see Leola or anyone other than the two men who brought her back. She didn't think of finding out if anyone other than CJ had gone looking for her or anything.
