Quietness. Nathan swore he heard a cricket in the silence that filled the air of the hill. That or it was the big, black beasty thing snoring that seemed to be wrapped around the tree with a golden fur or fleece, whichever you prefer to use, hanging down from one of it’s branches. Soon, sounds came from the girl next to him. ”Ah, okay,” he quickly and quietly responded, not really giving a care in the world if he knew it or not. He turned his eyes towards her in time just to catch a quick smirk. Did she catch on to his stupidness already? Though, he didn’t have to wonder much longer, seeing as she pretty much said it a couple of seconds later. ”No, I don’t know much ‘bout it at all, nor I think I don’t want to,” he sighed only to get an even more annoying response.
”As I said before, I don’t really want to learn about stupid mythology. It’s not like I choose this life or even care ‘bout it that much anyways. Plus, mythology means it’s fake. Right? So why study in something so much, just for it to be fiction? For fun? Maybe I was right and this is just one huge nightmare that’s like really detailed! I mean, you can’t honestly be a daughter of some music god. That’s like impossible. And I’m so stupid ‘cause I actually believed that at first..” his voice bellowed, though he obviously knew it was a complete lie. His gaze was back upon the tree’s top, leaves barely hanging on the branch, like it was going to die if it’s grip slipped and it slowly plummeted to the ground thanks to gravity. The demigod slipped his hand into one of his black jacket’s pockets.
Soon, more of this Carolynne’s voice ranged in his ears, more ‘bout his arm that was lion food. ”You’re not gonna give up till you get what you want, aren’t you?” his voice said, with slight annoyance and cockiness that he was correct. ”Besides, there’s not much to look at. Half of my arm is gone. See?” he said, taking his hand out of his coat’s pocket and pulling up on his other’s arm sleeve revealing nothing till a little bit above near the elbow. ”See? Northing wrong with it. Now will you just drop it?” he asked, maybe a little bit too rude, even for him.

"Sorry." Carolynne said, defensively. "Didn't mean to get you aggravated." She said with an absolute honest tone because she was telling the truth. "I was just saying that it is real. I know, it's really weird and yeah, it is like a dream. But if it is all a dream then I've been asleep for about one and a half years." She didn't say anything else because she didn't want the demigod to get angrier at her. She hoped that part of the conversation would be dropped soon for one less angering and for one that wouldn't make the demigod hate her. She said took one of her ringlets that were spiraling around and twisted her finger around it and then letting it go. The curl jumped up back in place and she looked down at the ground.
"Okay, your fine." She said not even looking at his arm. The last thing she was going to do was look at his arm, freak out, and then help him anyways. That always happened. It was better to leave him alone and if he wanted help he would get it. She fidgeted slightly and tried to keep her mind off his arm, it was an instinct like thing that made her want to help but it was a habit that she couldn't break that made her help. "So, um, where are you from?" She asked, trying to start up a totally different conversation other then the not-so-good two that were going on. The grass around her was brightened up by the sun for just a slight second more until a cloud appeared and covered it up. The cloud was large, covering the sun to make shade but that wasn't something to be happy about. No sun shine? That was a tragedy.

Obviously this conversation was going so well, and he could tell Carolynne knew the same thing. And the last thing he needed or wanted was for him to ruin his first chance to not be so bored at camp, so what was better than to not respond? Just make things much easier? Nethuns stared at her avoid looking at his arm and just say it was fine. Was it to make her not pass out or was it because she just had this awesome sense of injuries, he didn’t know. The demigod didn’t even know if he even wanted to know which it was for some odd reason, but just shrugged and made his jacket sleeve cover it right back up like it has been for the last ‘couple of days. His line of vision went more towards the camp this time, instead of the endless and relaxing sky when he took his eyes off her.
It was his first time actually taking in what this dangerous trip brought him to. He’ll admit, some of this didn’t seem at all like a camp, which was kind of a good thing. There seemed to be at least one thing for like anyone to do, no matter how picky you were. From the far left from his vision were stables, obviously for horses. Though, if what this chick was saying was true then it probably wasn’t the kind of horses he was thinking about. What would they be then? Pegasai? Then to the far right being a climbing wall with lava looking stuff oozing down all over it. And everything in-between those two things, all somewhat normal looking that didn’t seem to have anything that weird with them, which he doubted a lot. ”So, um, where are you from?” the demigoddess broke his thoughts and the very awkward silence, which he thanked her silently for. ”Oh, um, I’m from Louisiana. Lafayette to be exact. You?” he asked, hoping this conversation wasn’t going to end up like the last two.
A cool gust of wind came towards Nathan, right as the sunshine seemed to vanish. A somewhat nice sized cloud was blocking out the sun. Carolynne seemed to be depressed, the quite opposite from the boy, who actually enjoyed being in shaded areas.

Carolynne fell silent for a second. She had forgotten where she was from for just a minute. The question hadn't been asked to her in a while and she hadn't thought of her 'home' out of camp in a while. "Oh, um-" She said, trying to break some of the silence. "Denver, Colorado." She finally said, the lights brightening up in her head. "What about-" She then stopped herself seeing as how she was about to ask the question she had already asked him. Her mind was going into a brain-dead moment and she couldn't seem to revive it so she took in a deep breath and tried her best to cover it up. "I mean, what are some hobbies of yours?" She said, looking at his gaze at camp. "There's something for everybody."
Her mind made a quick list of every place in camp that the campers were allowed to go and hang out, train, swim, climb, and all those other place. "Are you a sword fighter or do you shoot with a bow and arrow?" She also asked, trying to help the demigod out with somethings he might want to know or places he would need to go (ha, that rhymed) while he was there. Half-blood hill was the perfect place to show people things because you could easily point to each spot and it would be clear there and it was less confusing.

With a backpack on her back, loaded with at least $700 cash, 20 golden drachmas (which she'd nicked from a backpack in Hermes cabin on the move from Hermes Cabin to Aphrodite's), her celestial bronze rapier in its sheath, and a Texas Rangers baseball cap on, which her long brown hair was flowing out of in a ponytail. Aphrodite's blessing was still turning her jeans into hip-hugging, ankle-flared ones, but she had on a ruby red chemise with a bracelet her uncle had made, with two small rubies on either side of the bracelet chain. She waited here for Pheobe and looking out for camp officials so the two of them could sneak off to Manhattan for the day.

What in the world was going on over there? A girl was standing off to the side looking worried as a whistle as she had scanned the whole area. She wore casual clothes, thought very cold to also to him, a cap which seemed to deal with some kind of sport, a backpack, and a sword sitting in a pouch like thing off to her side. Weird sight. And he doubted she could do that since he only saw people coming up the hill, never down. Before answering Carolynne’s question, or should he say questions, he tapped her lightly on the shoulder and pointed to the scene. ”Um… Stupid question, but is she allowed to leave? Sorry, it’s just that you would’ve thought more people would be leaving camp if you’re allowed to..” he said, hoping he didn’t sound stupid.
”But uh, to answer your question, I prefer neither. I don’t want to fight, even if my life depended on it. But uh.. To answer your first question, I just like to relax, hang out with other people, read, and such. You know? The normal stuff you could say,” the demigod replied, looking around at some of the other places with more attention like the forge, forest, lake, and the weird cabin alignment and themes. It was like each cabin had it’s own personality. Like one being covered in ice, and the next one being blazing hot.

The demigoddess's eyes scanned the scene a few feet away from them. "Actually, it's not a stupid question. You aren't supposed to leave camp, though. Rules by Dionysus and Chiron." She answered. ((You're not allowed to leave camp)). She didn't know why someone wouldn't know that since Chiron usually made it clear, or at least made it clear to her. Of course she had gone out of camp a few times before they started tightening up on the rules of camp (True. Old guild we could leave camp. This guild you can't)) but now no one was allowed to leave unless it was the end of summer when people went to go back to school and stay with their parents.
"Thank you!" She said, answering the other part of the conversation. Most of the people at camp loved sword fighting and all that and it was nice to see someone else who didn't like fighting. "I use bow and arrow but I don't fight. Weird, I know. But it's just a hobby I have. Fighting is....not fun." She said, trying to find something simple to describe fighting. Especially with swords. "I've stepped into the arena once since I've been in camp (no joke) and that was to get Alyson, my friend, who was about to kill a camper." She rolled her eyes with a joking remark though she was telling the truth. "You might like the lake for hanging out but for reading the best place to go is the woods since it's very relaxing and peaceful. Calm, too. Unless you run into a monster, that's not so fun. But monsters are really rare in camp so you're fine. Just don't go to far back into the woods. Then there is Zephony and Euras creek for hanging out and talking too." She explained then realized she had talked way to much.

(( I'm saying she's leaving camp because I'm taking a temp leave of absence so she'll be off in Manhattan for awhile. When I get back I'll have her returning to camp))

((You aren't allowed to leave camp at all. Once you're in you can't leave unless you are on a quest or if it's the end of summer))

(( Nah, we should like so get rid of that rule. It'd make things better, if you ask me. Besides, they left camp if they wanted in the book. Man, there's a lot of rules that we should add/take away. ))

((We didn't really enforce the rule in the old guild and most everybody was out of camp and wherever they wanted to go most of the time. They only enforced the rule to make it more like camp half-blood and less like a little hang out place that you could leave or do whatever in. I really don't like the rule either and I don't like enforcing it but I feel like I'm not being a good crew member if I don't ...))

((And we have to finish up the quest that's going on now (And should have been over a year ago..) but yes, we do need something that can let people leave without the whole guild going crazy with wanting to leave))
