You walk through the dark, shadowed forest. In the middle of a clearing, with one single ray of light centered on it, is a mirror. What do you see when you look at it?
I see my reflection - I see who I really am inside.
I see who I have become - all my past efforts and endeavors roll before my eyes.
I see potential - the future, with all its possibilties, becomes clear to me.
I see my inner demons. I recognize them, so that I may conquer them.
I see darkness; the mirror is not a mirror, but a window to my soul.
I see someone else - the mirror is not a mirror, but a window, showing me my heart's true desire.
I refuse to examine the mirror. It is an illusion - I do not need it to tell me what I already know.

"Ha, ha. You know I don't have any aunts." Just old cousin Bel... He inwardly shuddered at the thought of his only relation.

((Good one XD ))

((Good idea, lol.))
((Raedou and Perrault (and everyone else @_@) : ... biggrin Yuh-huh.))

((By Lady Elysia's crown, that was a long and very boring demonic spat. Here's my reaction. Oh, and zfatal, could you post as Helena ASAP after your little... hanging... session? eek I want to get started with the Favraes council, if that's alright with you.))

Raedou did nothing. He just watched, twitching, horrified at the thought of a sexual relationship between demons, the scourge of all life, the bringers of death and misfortune, the fearsome, malevolent shadows that stalked the depths of the underworld... and the extremely annoying. He had to put an end to this before he went insane.

He shook his head, gathering his senses, and cleared his throat to speak.

"Myrrelda," he said sternly, "as the owner of this caravan and designated driver, I will NOT stand by and allow you to..."

He stopped and stared at Farfarello, gaining a very sudden change of heart. He smiled and turned back to Myrrelda.

"Wander in this scorching desert all by yourself! You are more than welcome to join us if you'd like."

-----

Perrault tried his best not to show it, but he was overjoyed. He had no idea why, but he felt... safe and warm around the demon girl, as intimidating she might have looked.

"Really?" he said excitedly to Raedou, "Yay! Myrrelda, would you like to come with us? Please?"

((Pansy.))

Farfarello looked horrified at Raedou's words. "You are such a b*****d!!" These words were very mild, as he figured that whether or not Raedou invited her along, Myrrelda would be there anyway. He turned toward Myrrelda, "No! You are NOT welcome to join us!"

(( rofl I love Raedou and Farfarello!))

Raedou folded his arms. Inside his bronze-colored helmet, he was grinning victoriously. Although it was his intention to make Farfarello angry, he would not stand for any hostility among the members of his caravan.

"She is welcome to join us." he said, "If Farfarello does not like it, he can stay here."

He turned to Farfarello, looking down at the comparatively short demon.

"Of course," he said, "you will not be alone. I am positive that the Horde would be glad to keep you company."

Farfarello snorted. "I'm coming whether you want me to or not!" If Farfarello's deepest wish were to come true right at that moment, Raedou would be incinerated on the spot. He would then regret that he hadn't been wishing for his power.
Then he could incinerate him instead of some godly force.

Skurrut.

I was apparently lied to, more or less. We haven't done any work today, and it's dark. AND I have access to the internet. This is... a bummer, all and all. Drove an hour away to do nothing. stare ))

Myrrelda twisted a hand over her sternum, smiling congenially at Raedou. "Why thank you, good sir, but that's dependent on whether your caravan exists in a few minutes." This was followed the the unfurling of wings, before Myrrelda was suddenly hovering seven yards in the air, flapping her wings against the air to stay aloft.

Suddenly, a huge beast, the size of a modern monster truck, burst out of the sand....

Ephlas could tell you little about the Skurrut, which are not Horde but natural demons of the Sands, but Dakon could. If asked, he would tell you that Skurrut are extremely dangerous, solitary, territorial carnivores. Their revealed skulls are hard enough to crush malleable metals, and they typically run and lower their head during an unstoppable charge. The only way to survive this is to avoid it. They are nearly immune to normal weapons, their hides being resistant against blades, arrows, crushing weapons, and dark magic. They are at home in the Sands, and are a natural predator to humans (and elves and Ganzi, actually). He would tell you to get the hell away from the creature and wait until it could be dealt with. To do so would require either drowning the sucker (magically, obviously), or electrocuting it. Fire would not hurt it, and neither would great winds. Having a hide as hard as rocks was also a problem.

Helena raised a single eyebrow but said nothing as she followed.

((I'm sorry sad ))

Farfarello stared incredulously at the Skurrut. It reminded him of a Hell Hound, and he'd not had any pleasant encounters with any of those. "I've changed my mind, Myrrelda; this desert is very dangerous!"

After remaining silent most of the time, Hashmal rushed forward, brandishing the unnaturally sharp Draon warblade charged with dark energies, "Now this is what I was hoping for!" She howled in glee.

---

Valthere grinned at the cringing elves, "well, now... that all depends on my mood... I'm very good at hiding it..."

Dakon shook his head, not amused at the moment. "Elves have a habit of either taking everything you say literally, or taking nothing whatsoever literally. Windows aren't the end of the world, elf friends." But Dakon honestly did not care at the moment, other than they were distracting Valthere from Dakon's own needs.

"I suppose I'll leave to search for your siblings myself. I must admit, their sand skiff is an attractive means of travel... much better than trekking across the desert on foot." Then Dakon turned to leave.

"well, so long then, Mr. Dakon. It was nice meeting you... Maybe you should take these elves too... before they break more things." He grinned.

((SPI, let us dazzle the crowd with a excellent tagteam performance!))

Raedou drew his sword as well.

"Right!" he said, "Another Horde beast down means one less pest to exterminate in the long run!"

He ran towards the beast at full speed, slowly catching up with Hashmal. He swung his sword back while he sprinted towards the Skurrut, charging up energy for a powerful Ganzi Spiral.

-----

Diine looked at the Sand Master and his eyes widened as he recognized his dirt-covered face.

"Y-you're Dakon, the Sand Master!" he said, amazed, "You're the number one Horde slayer in Mythicaa! It's truly an honor to meet you, sir!"

The elevn scholar bowed as low as he could bow.

((Okay, this is not going well... I'm trying to see how the characters match up so I can start on their portions of the story, but there are so many... it's confusing. I'm probably at fault for that... sweatdrop Okay, let's see if I have this right. Leonard is obviously going to be very outspread... Characters that are not playable (like Bael and his Mindbreakers) will be listed as well. Also, when a character's name appears more than once, that's because he or she moves to a different story over time.))

((Oh, great. *rolls eyes* Dakon > Diine = Raedou > Perrault, no? xDD))

The great, lumbering Skurrut, which wasn't actually Horde, but a regular (if rare and dangerous) denizen of the desert, roared as it prepared to charge. The large beast was actually good news and bad news; bad news in that it was there, but good news in that there was no doubt that no other large beasts, Horde or no, existed for miles in any direction. If they had, then this giant Skurrut would be attacking them or dead. Then the Skurrut roared again and charged; its momentum and size a mighty, formidable sight that was unstoppable by physical means. Dark magic and fire would have no effect on its superior hide, and its skull would likely break any sword that attempted to cleave it.
