The boy knew full well that the tall swordsman of the deserts was not going to the party to simply enjoy himself. The two of them stood a risk of being taken out, as the enemy may deem them suspicious. Together, at least, they had someone who could cover their back. Magic to take on Magic, and a Sword to take on Brawn. There was also the little matter of race to consider. They were of the same people, in a way. It couldn't hurt to protect one's own from time to time.

Luna decided to return back early as she was bored at the party. She also decided to watch after the base for now.

Light burst through the ceiling and collected upon the carpet. Strands wove in and out of a complex, runic circle, and soon three people appeared within the circle. Soren collapsed onto his knees as the teleportation magic vanished. He was panting, carrying the unconscious, beaten captain of the crew -- Nino.
"Hide her...keep her...safe..." he said breathlessly, looking close to collapsing some his panic.
