Gekkani approached where the talkative northern captain was. A small nod of acknowledgment was all she gave to Kazumei's presence, before she too greeted her senpai. "Michishirube-sama." It wasn't outlandish for her to attach -sama instead of -senpai, he was a main branch member after all. The flame-haired halfblood child observed the new girl with some measure if - perhaps if it could even be counted as of such - curiosity, before turning her attention to the older Hyuuga again. "If you're here, who's at the northern gate?" Kana's voice was slightly accusing but the western gate captain had a point. Unlike him, her shift actually started much later.
"Oh, Melediana-san asked if I could sub for her today. Something about urgent business to tend to...she said it related to her clan." Replied the pale-haired Hyuuga, nonchalant. He shrugged. "I dunno anything past that. It was a hawk who came to me, so can't exactly talk (and get answers) from a piece of paper."

I can still see those eyes. Konohagakure no Sato/ Academy Student/ Lvl.6/ Hp: 66/ Cp: 42/ MHp: 66"Ohh so what are you doing up so early Kana?" Kazumei said as he appeared in the area with vast speed and grace similiar to how Kana moved last night but no to her degree. He looked at the new girl as she was very short compared to him as he could probably squish her under his foot. But Kazumei was more interested in why Melediana wasn't here today had this guy fill in for her. "Thats odd..." he said with confused look on his face as he didn't really know a lot about Melediana and her clan affair but another thought crossed his mind as well. "Where's Lula?" Kazumei thought as looked around but she was no where in sight. Probably sleeping or something Kazumei just dropped the idea already and focused back on the sub " Who are you again? What did Melediana say we are gonna do today...". Ready to beginning class extra early but he was still willing to finish off his morning warm up if what he had planned didn't challenge him enough. Messing with his Uchiha Fan necklace he put it around his neck and unbuttoned his collar abit as the warm sunlight hit the back on his neck.

The girl who approached was also young, though not as young as Tenma. Her hair was a fiery-red and, judging by her eyes, was also af the Hyuuga clan - like Shiru-sensei. As Tenma noted the girl's eyes she noticed something, a flash of curiousity perhaps. Tenma listened to the two's conversation and was able to learn two things of importance:
- Shiru-sensei was not the usual Academy teacher
- Shiru-sensei actually worked at the Northern gate
Though Tenma wasn't sure if this knowledge was useful, or relevant, she still felt it was a good thing to know.

A small frown twisted the twelve year old child's lips...obviously dissatisfied with Michishirube's answer. She recalled quite vividly of the panicked flight in which Melediana had rushed off the previous night. Somehow, it nagged at her... But it was no good to press someone who knew not what was going on either. "Walking." She replied, softly to Kazumei. "The air here is especially good for the lungs."
Michishirube squinted, ruffling through the profiles in the folder. Judging by the fan-like symbol on the boy's clothing - Uchiha he realized - and there was only one Uchiha in the class so... "Mnhm...nice to meet you, Kazumei-kun. I'm Michishirube - Shiru for short - and I will be subbing for Miss Melediana today. I am Kana here's fellow captain, we both work in the sentry division, but at different gates." The weapons master nodded at the small red-haired child before him.
She supposed Michishirube-sama expected her to greet the new child. "Hyuuga Gekkani, western gate captain." Said Kana, with the slightest lowering of her head as courtesy.
Michishirube nodded at Kazumei and then at Tenma. "She'll be Fujiko Tenma, the newest student here at Konohagakure no Sato. Make her feel welcome, help her around, and all that stuff. I'm actually expecting another new Student to show up...but he isn't here yet. Probably cuz we're just a few hours past dawn." A wide grin crossed his handsome face. "Today's lesson, Miss Melediana asked for the completion of Kakuremino and Nawanuke no Jutsu. That would complete Kazumei-kun's graduating requirements for the Genin exams." And he turned his attention back to Tenma.
"Hmn...and Tenma-chan. You won't be able to participate in the Genin Exams at the beginning of this coming Summer recess but there will be another one held midway, in August, too." A soft pause. "If you complete the handseals first - which I see you are getting along quite well - if you wish, we can head into the Nawanuke and Kakuremino lessons. Afterwards, I will help you with the other graduating credits. Oh, Kana, do you have a Genin puppet around for the Taijutsu lesson...?"
The young flame-haired Sannin thought carefully for a moment. "...I might. I'll check." And unstrapping the large summoning scroll on her back with a high toss she unfurled it on the grass, revealing symbols written (strangely) with maroon-red ink rather than black...before carefully tracing her finger over each of the symbols. There was no need for the others present to know that the ink was actually blood, because she could not read normal ink...her Yubei inheritance having robbed her of both sight and hearing.
"Do whatever you wish for now, Kazumei-kun. Classes have yet to begin." Said Michishirube, watching the younger Sannin pour over her summoning scroll.

Ever the child to arrive on time, Rhaim strolled up to the small gathering of people with his hands in his pockets and a small bit of sleep still in his eyes. Had it not been for his sisters dragging him out of bed he likely would not have made it out to the class this day. As he approached slowly the young Nara took note of the fact that he didn't recognize a single one of those that were standing around. Not the clearly motivated Uchiha, not the person bent over the large scroll, not even the small timid looking girl. What's more is that at least some of them seemed to know one and other, just adding to his desire to not have shown up at all. The boy made no effort to speak as he stopped beside the small girl, since she was the least likely to try and strike up chit chat so early in the morning. His squinting his moved to the ground a few meters ahead of him after he was comfortable that he knew his surroundings.

Probably read over his file so he's probably aware of Kazumei's history and background. Kazumei slightly chucked to Kana's words as he wakes up at this time to enjoy the fresh morning air too. "Well I would like to finish up my warm-ups for this morning since class hasn't technically started. Ummm Kana?" Kazumei said as he saw her pull a large summoning scroll the kanji on it was strange but some if it he could read but it rather not. "Could you possibly summon up a puppet for myself as well when I have done with my sprint workout, I rather battle than just doing push ups and my katana practice which would take a longer time." he said as the Shiru told him that all he needed was acouple more lesson and he meet the graduation requirments. Indeed he wanted to test out his skill as he haven't had a good spar in awhile and it would be better for him to just spar in the morning. A spar is a good warm up for him to get his day started. Maybe after the spar he would finish off the rest of his more workout but he really wanted to fight something.

Gekkani looked up. "...this one appears to be it." Her finger had stopped over one of the seals. To the onlookers, all of the seals probably looked the same but there were subtle differences in which a Fuuin master would only be able to tell. But then...another Student arrived. So she waited for Michishirube to elaborate, if he still wanted her to use a puppet or have the two new Students be acquainted with Taijutsu by sparring with each other.
A wide grin settled over the northern gate captain's face. "Oh! That's good, we have a full squad now." Michishirube was referring to the head count as of present - enough for a Genin squad. "Hyuuga Michishirube - but that's a mouthful so call me Shiru - I'll be conducting the class today. Who may you be...?"
Shiru wasn't familiar with the whole class yet, more with the new Students (whose profiles he had to read) and certain Students (thanks to Melediana's memos and little notes jotted here and there). But the red-haired Jounin woman had obviously stopped doing that at some point, from which Michishirube assumed that was when she decided to converse more closely with her Students. So there wasn't much to lean on and this boy (Rhaim) actually was a part-time guest Student at one of the existing squads. But Moku-sama hadn't said anything, so he had no way of knowing that.
"Hey Kana, forget it." He noted over his shoulder.
"Mn...all right." She began folding up the scroll but stopped when Kazumei made a request to use the puppet instead. The red-haired child stopped for a moment, as if to consider it. But she didn't see any problems with the request...maybe just this once. "Kuchiyose: type three tank, Kegirai." A puff of smoke and a child puppet appeared. But although it looked realistic, it was unlike Ichida, unlike that Senju puppet...this one looked less...human like...a normal puppet.

The boy scrathed the back of his head slightly as the clear leader of the group asked him who he was. Placing his hand back in his pocket, "Well Shiru-sensai, I'm Nara Rhaim. I've been assigned to team one for now as some sort of guest, but they're letting me come here since I don't exactly have any Academy experience." The Nara often wondered why he, who was obvisouly not the hard charging soldier type had been assigned to an odd number team. Though in the end he knew he wouldn't likely stay on that team since his and the others Academy graduations would play a larger role in determining all that.
The boy made no sign of bowing or nodding his head, a bad habit that his sisters often beat him for. It wasn't so much that he was trying to be disrespectful as he simply didn't think about such things, ever.

An elegant eyebrow arched. "Hn? Guest student? That's rare...they didn't use that system since Zephyr-sama's time." A wild grin, and laugh. "But that's because they were short on Genin then." A nonchalant wave of his hand. Even though he spoke casually, by his appearance and underlying regality (as well as the manner in which he carried himself), it was certain that this person was from the Hyuuga royal family. "Carry on then. Use your curriculum scroll." With the Students' acceptance letter to the Academy, that scroll came in the mail. "It's best if you start with the handseals lesson first, so that we're all on the same page." Said Shiru, nodding at Tenma who was busy learning her seals.
Handseals
The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. So I set them to learning all twelve. The rules are as follows: Roll 1d20 for each seal, one at a time. They must get a 12 or higher in order to correctly perform a seal. Each seal must be performed once correctly before being learned. Use the formula: [1d20 + Int Mod. = (#)].

The boy listened to the older male and almost decided to head back home right then and there since he'd forgotten his curriculum scroll back at his home. However walking all the way back home wasn't something that he was about to set off on if he didn't have to. Seeing that the small girl beside him happened to be working on handseals herself, he figured that he'd just look over her shoulder and try to catch up with her.
He saw something on the page about a fisted right hand under a flattened left hand. The boy slowly placed his hands together in the manner described by the scroll before the girl. He raised an eyebrow at himself wondering if it was really going to be as hard as this sensai made it sound like it would be. At any rate the boy seperated his hands and closed his eyes. He shook his hands a slight bit violently to keep them from cheating and preforming the signs. He then tossed to together the hands as quick as he could, while trying to focus on lining them up properly.

Satisfied that he'd be able to remember that first handseal without any issues he decided to at least find out which one it was that he'd learned. As he looked down at the scroll he read out the word 'dog', which struck him as rather poetic that that should be his first handseal and that he would get it on the first try. Not wanting to slow down on his momentum, if he had any, the boy looked over the girls shoulder again at the next handseal on the list. He didn't bother with checking for the name since he didn't want anything extra clouding his mind while he practiced. In the same fashion that he practiced the dog, the Nara conducted a slow run of this next handseal before pulling it apart and launching into a quick throw of his hands.

The boy frowned at himself as he noted that the image that his hands made in front of him was in no way shape or form the same as what was on the scroll in front of the girl. He sighed one low sigh and began to slowly put his hands together in the correct manner again, trying to take special note of how the hands felt against each other. Again he seperated his hands to his sides and closed his eyes to ensure that it was the hands working and not his eyes. He gave a quick shake to each hand before thrusting them together in a way that seemed like it was the proper feeling that he'd gotten from the practice rounds. The Nara took a deep breath before opening his eyes, fearing that once again he'd find that his hands did not match up at all.

Happy that Kana allowed his request he was so eager that he just ignored the sprint warm up all together. As the puppet stood there in his motionless fashion he knew that Kana was gonna control him so he might as well fight at with his weights on at first. "Thanks Kana..." Kazumei said as he lowered his stance and placed his hand on his katana handle. Not making any sudden movements he revealed some of the katana's blade shinning a light on the puppet chest area. "Thats where I'll strike!!"He thought as in a flash Kazumei ran with full speed at the puppet is eyes dead set on the area where he must attack. Running in a zig zag formation he intent to disappear and reappear as he increased his speed in burst. Getting in range of the puppet he suddenly vanished, right infront of the puppet he unsheathed his katana and ammepting a upward slash of the puppets chest area where he shin the light at before. His accaracy with the katana was gettting better as his cuts are more percise and clean.

Bunshin no Jutsu:
This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. In certain years, Ninja are required to know this jutsu in order to advance to the Genin level. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. Unlike Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Art of the Shadow Doppelganger), these illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, thus, they are without substance, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent.
Cp cost: 1 pt. per bunshin.

Requirements: Academy students learn it on the academy as a basic jutsu.
Training days: Academy. Chakra control check DC: 5 per bunshin.
Special: Can create 1 per 5 points in Chakra control. Up to 5 bunshin can be created.
*The user assigns a number 1 through 6 to themselves and each of their clones indivudually. The attacker rolls a 6 sided die to see what they hit.
The Intelligence check DC to see through an attacker's bunshin is the 1/2 the attacker's int mod + half the attacker's chk mod.
Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)
The user utilizes the sheep hand seal or the tiger hand seal and concentrates their chakra to assume the appearance of another person, an animal, or even any object. This is one of the required basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninjas know this technique.
Cp cost: 2 "+1 per minute the jutsu is maintained"

Requirements: Learn in the Academy.
Training days: Academy time. Chakra control check DC: 10
Special: Add chakra mod to your Disguise check.
Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique)
This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. The user quickly projects themselves with another nearby object such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack.

Damage: N/A
Requirements: Must have something to replace with.
Training days: Academy time.
Special: Add chakra mod to dodge bonus. You cannot use this while in a defensive position.
Katon: Goukakyu no Jutsu (Fire Release: Grand Fireball Technique)
Utilizing a high amount of chakra, a large ball of flame is exhaled from the user's mouth.
Cp cost: 30
Damage: 20 - 40 + chakra modifier.
Reflex DC: 10 + Character level + chakra mod for half damage. Neutral 20 or surpassing the save by 10 means no damage.
Requirements: Fire Affinity, Chakra 20+, Chakra Control 12
Training days: 7 days/ if Uchiha teaches you, 4 days
Special: Uchihas learn this at young age.

To his suprise the boy found that he had gotten rather close to getting the handseal correct, had it not been for one rebelious little finger that seemed to want to act out on it's own. Rhaim nodded at his mistake and went through the slow motions of developing the handseal again. This time he did the slow motion with his eyes open and then closed his eyes with the seal formed to get a better idea of how it felt in his hands. He could sense already that this was likely going to take him the better part of the morning to get a grasp on, if he could get it by then at all. He lowered his arms and shook out his hands once more, while taking a stance that he considered might somehow mystically help him remember the handseal properly.
