Oh, okay. Wikipedia explains all.

The reason they're called Demiliches is because they have a lesser physical form, despite the fact that they're no less powerful than before. However a Demilich implies the fact that it is less of a sentient being and a spiritual drifter, spending little, if any, time in the physical realm, and too busy drifting between planes of existence in search of something to do.

Therefore, the remnant of the lich's body (usually a skull, hand or something like that) will remain dormant until disturbed, where the soul is called back and the part generally rises up and sucks the soul out of whatever disturbed it.

So it'd make a really good door guard, pretty much. Stick it on a pole in front of your house and you'll never have unwanted (or wanted, for that matter) visitors again!

That has changed some three or so years ago...

I dunno man. I've been floating through 3.5 recently since some friends are trying to resurect our circle, and the only major difference I can spot is a few changes to criticals and the removal of the shadowdancer's ability to make armies. I'm sure there are other changes, but often the simplest changes are overlooked in this game! Oh yeah, they changed magehand so that you couldn't kill people with it...until I found away around that too! MUAHAHAHAHA! Honestly though, I'll admit that they did round off a fair amount of the rough edges of the new systemm, but the fact remains that some of the things they leave out are jsut dumb. Granted they make it a bit more fun, and make you forced to rely on teamwork, but they are dumb nonetheless.

How many basic tabletop engines are there anyway? I'm trying to build one fromt eh ground up, so I need some research material. I've got Tri-stat (aka D6), d20, whatever Whitewolf calls their system, and some rules for LARPing. What have I missed?

It bothers me that Gunz: The Duel, despite being in beta, being completely free, and not being designed for the American player is still everything I ever could have asked for from The Matrix: Online, but better. It's a tad buggy and a little laggy sometimes (Hey, it's completely free) but the execution, gameplay and look and feel are all excellent.

This leads me to believe that the gaming industry needs to take a very hard look at the process that goes from Idea to Finished Product, because it is silly that something designed as an experiment is better than that which is supposed to be "finished".

Does anybody know the proper process for getting a textbook banned? Perhaps at least edited or removed from the curriculum? The textbook I'm using now is a sham. It is filled with almost as many opinionated remarks as it is with facts, and at one point it goes as far as to refer to the Russian March Revolution as a movie that was scripted by SNL. It's quite agrivating to also find that nice little tidbits petaining to allied evils in world war 1 have been removed. These little bits of info were used in last year's unit, but not this one. Some of the facts in the book are also just plain wrong. For instance, even though there are a few different types of democracy, this grade 12 textbook burns the grade 11 unit and starts again with everything now under one heading. That's right kids, now there is only one type of democracy, and it's constitutional. BLARGH!
It's these damn opinion questions that are really bugging me. Not only are we tested on ONE MAN'S opinion! It's taught to us as if it was pure fact. This is of course ironic considering we spent 2 days covering the process to judging how reliable an information source is. Considering this is one man's opinion of another man's recolection, I'd say it's a wee bit sub-par. Because one man has decided that totalitarianism shouldn't be considered an ideology, we have to learn it as if it were not. It's not too big a deal, but it's driving me mad!

-_-' It's just not been a good...well, month. I know I said I'd start a character in Snow, but I don't think that's gonna happen for a bit. I've got homework, and I've got comissions, and now I've just found out we're putting my grandmother in a home on Tuesday. I'm under a bit of stress. Needless to say this just isn't how I expected my long weekend to be.
I hope this doesn't bring you guys down too much though! Happy Canadian Turkey Day everybody! (when's the USA Thanksgiving anyway? I'm pretty sure it's on a different date but I can never remember when...)

It's on Novemeber 23... well... according to my calendar it is.

SNL?

What the ******** the hell do the bunhc of the truly know about the march?

I say that I should come over there and shove that next book and the cast of SNL up their asses.

Opinnions are not history.

They are meant to be shared when asked for, otherwise they are to be kept quiet.

Kozo... why the hell did you think I dropped the course?

1) The textbook SUCKS! (even KYLE agrees with me on that one)
2) Mrs. Gjos is a complete basket-case.. as well as an ex-RCMP officer.. which makes her quite predjudiced against some things as it is..
3) Even just Peer tutoring her Socials 10 class is rediculous... I never had as much homework in the whole semester of my OWN grade ten socials than these kids get in a week...
Then she totally humiliates them in front of the class if they forget their homework... or are away a day and ask for an extension to do the work they missed... "It's your responsibility to call a friend or e-mail me to find out what you missed!" THE HELL! If I'm sick in bed, or whatever, I'm not gonna haul my a** up, just to freakin e-mail a dotty-old teacher about what assignments I need handed in!!

I really do feel sorry for the kids I peer tutor..

And Val? You need to post in Mentoring.. blaugh

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

I'm soon to be full of pumpkin pie (I don't like turkey >.<).

I should be more active for about a week, starting today. For the last few days, my brother has been on the computer (SAPOS thought it is) pretty much constantly. I think he may have a problem. >.>;
