Joker blinked and frowned. "I got hit?" It took him a while but he remembered getting beat by Kalore and he laughed. "Why are you apologizing for that? I would have punched me too!" He laughed more. "You don't have to do that Kalore. Your my friend and I would gladly get punched even if it's for you own good...Or is that supposed to be for my own good? Oh well, now now you need to get into a bed alright? Or rather you need to get something to eat. Forget the bed for a while and just eat. Eat, eat, eat..." Really the man was just hard to not laugh at. "I'll let you go to contact Gambler. Call me again so I can go pick you up and you can stay with me alright?"

Kalore smiled a bit, nodding some. Talking to Joker… it really was hard not to be affected by the other and just smile. “Alright. I’ll call you in a bit, alright.” He was walking back towards his house, needing to just take a bit of a rest before he hung up after saying his goodbyes. Finding Gambler’s number was easy; he only had a few. Calling her, he was soon looking around, unable to stop smiling for a moment before he came upon his house, sighing softly. Staying with Joker… that was a good idea. He really did need to just get out of the elven lands, just move so that he could relax, get himself back together, and help the group again. He had been a burden for too long.

Gambler looked at the phone while she was in a group meeting with her leaders of the city who represented the paranormal races within to keep vampires and werewolves at peace and lions and tigers to behave. Holding up a hand to silence their voices she answered the phone and said a cool greeting. Whoever it was that wanted to bother her during this important meeting was going to learn about her sharp tongue and it was going to stab, maim and hurt like hell.

Kalore was leaning against a tree as he heard Gambler’s voice. Something sounded off… something was just too silent. But, he had to just ask him. “Hey, Miss Gambler, it’s Kalore.” He smiled a bit, trying to not sound as tired as he felt, but… it was hard. Joker’s bit of humor had helped but there was still Monty’s death. “I’m glad to hear that you’re alright… but um… have we… have you… um, have you found what’s going to be done for Monty’s…” His voice dropped for a moment. He hadn’t really wanted to think of it like this, he hadn’t really thought of this as Monty’s funeral. More like a gathering for the demon but… he had to be honest with himself, even if it hurt to say so. “Monty’s funeral…?”

Gambler raised a brow as she held the phone to her ear and tap the table with her fingers softly. "Hmm Monty's funeral? Well, there is going to be a service for him yes. Why?" She asked, wanting to ease into this since she was horrible like that. Sure it was cruel however she was only being what she was supposed to be until she took Rave's advice. Oh it's going to suck but hey that was life right?

Something was wrong. Kalore didn’t know what it was but he knew that something was wrong. “I… I wanted to know when it was… where it was… I wasn’t able to talk to him and…” Why was he so nervous? He wanted to pay his respects. He wanted to somehow repent for ever thinking that Monty could do something like burn him. Kalore had to touch his cheek, however, where the burn still was. He knew that Monty didn’t do this to him but there was still some fear in him from what it was that had. Sin was gone, though… but still. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took in a breath, speaking again, “I wish to pay respects to Monty, Miss Gambler. He did a lot for me and I wasn’t able to fully thank him for it.”

The silent tapping of her fingers stopped and Gambler sat straigher, watching the faces of her silent and serious faced guests. "Kalore, I'm afraid that you can't come to his funeral." There it was, right to the point and cutting to the heart of it. "If you want the reasons I can list them for you, but regardless your not to be at the funeral nor in the city at all. So, have a nice day." She said, waiting for Kalore to hang up on her but was prepared, very prepared to hear him ask her why.

Kalore had begun to walk to the house but when Gambler spoke, he froze. “What…?” Voice soft, he held out a hand, leaning against the tree as he listened to the rest of what she had said. “Why… Why? I… I don’t understand… Miss Gambler, why can’t I go into the city? Or the funeral?” Neither of those rules made any sense to him, but he had a feeling… no, that made no sense. What had he done to make it to where he couldn’t go anywhere near the others? Going into the city? Why couldn’t he go there? Maybe he understood going to the funeral; if it was being held with Monty’s family then that would be in Hell, right? Of course he couldn’t go there but… seriously? “Gambler, why not?”

The woman sighed, as if talking to a child who asked her why a billion and one times. "Well for one, you already had your time with him while there. For another you hold no rights to his body so that's a reason. Another is that I really don't want to wait for hours upon hours until your ready to get off the coffin to let them bury him. Lastly, you insult his image. So, you don't get to pass Go, nor do you get to collect the two hundred dollars but you can go to jail which is staying in your lands." She said, in her cheerful voice that if Kalore was looking at her, it would touch her eyes.

Looking down, Kalore shook his head, “Gambler…” What was she talking about? He lost it before, yes, but it wasn’t like he was going to do that again! “You can’t be serious, Gambler. Fine, I’ll try to understand why I can’t go to his funeral, but why can’t I go into Area 6?” that was something else that didn’t make sense to him. She was wrong in her reasoning, but the one that stung the most was that he insulted Monty’s image. That had been something he had actually been worried about when they first started going out, if that’s what it could be called, and… “How do I insult his image, Gambler?” He wanted to drop the funeral ideas but… that was one thing that he couldn’t drop.

"Your not coming into my city for my reasons alone. Your not part of the politics so just go with it or else your going to be skewed on sight. Believe me, that's painful." Which Gambler did know, sadly, thanks to Sin experimenting on her while the others were out there doing whatever it was they were doing. "As for insulting his image? Well that's simple. You had no trust in him what so ever. Granted he never showed that he was the nicest person ever however...You should have known better than to think he would ever burn you. Regardless if you were under the influence or not. Another thing, why would you go back to Eri in the first place? I really did hope you would take charge of your life and go on your own, even if it was to stay home."
The boss tapped her fingers silently again, watching the impatience showing in the faces of her guests. "I had alot of faith in you and then learning about how it was that you ended up all in that state, well I was disappointed. But that's in the past and this is now and it's what has me deciding that your not welcome to his funeral and into my city. After all, I'm trying this thing where I close off all my borders to fix my city. So, again I'm going to say have a nice day and your going to say you too and hang up alright?"

Listening to all this, Kalore’s jaw dropped. “W-What?” He straightened, a flow of anger beginning to come over him as he listened to her. So that was her reasoning? Truly? Another surge of anger came through him as he nearly shouted at her, “Are you serious?!” Gritting his teeth, Kalore closed his eyes, trying hard not to yell at the woman. “Your reasons… your reasons are ridiculous, Gambler, and as much as I respect you for getting your city back together, your methods are ludicrous.” He tried hard, so hard, to control his temper but with all the events that had happened… Kalore did have a bite to him, but not many people were able to see it. He was pissed, however, and unlike Dusk, he was actually talking to the woman.
“The state I had myself in was no better than your suicidal streak, Gambler.” Seething, he continued, “I won’t wish you good day, Gambler, but I do wish you a nice turn back in time so that we didn’t save your ungrateful a** from that madman. Have fun in hell, Gambler.” Phone turned off, Kalore screamed, the nearest tree struck at as he ended up on the ground, hitting the tree again and again, furious. He couldn’t see Monty… he couldn’t go to Area 6 at all… What Gambler was doing was wrong and he would personally send her to Hell if he had the ability. But… Kalore’s phone was back out. He said that he would tell Joker…

Gambler sat there listening, truly listening to Kalore and was sort of hoping he did lose his temper. Once he hung up however, she put the phone to her sit and looked calmly at her guests. "So sorry for that. I had to be berated by someone who can't even let himself go. Don't you just hate it when people have the lack of respect for themselves in giving in to their impulses?" Her guests nodded. "Ah well...What were we all discussing?" One of the men spoke and they resumed their meeting as if that call never existed.
Blinking at the phone, Joker knew it was Kalore because the elf promised to call him as he told his secretary to hold off all official calls for another time. Answering he had a happy smile on his face. "Hello there friend. You want me to pick you up right now? Or let you have some time to pack and get ready?"

Gritting his teeth, Kalore took in a breath but he couldn’t keep the bitterness out of his voice, “I don’t think that your boss is going to want us to be friends, Joker.” He took in another breath, relating the information back to Joker, everything that had been said. By now, Kalore was just sitting with his head in his hand, shaking his head as anger wasn’t allowing any other form of emotion to take hold in him. “I don’t… I… Joker, I can’t just move on without giving Monty a proper respect… I can’t do that. And I can’t even go to his burial site if he’s in Area 6 or Hell.” Attending the funeral, he could miss that; he didn’t want to, but he could. Never being able to go to his grave, however? That he couldn’t do.

Joker was shocked. He was never informed of this at all. "What?" Kalore must be mistaken. Gambler wouldn't do things like that. No, she would do anything for those like Kalore to be with the one they were supposed to be with but...this? There must be some confusion but now wasn't the time to question it or Kalore. No, Kalore wasn't even a liar so why come up with this silly news?
Shaking his head he furrowed his brows to be serious. "Kalore. I'm going to go pick you up. Your going to go and see Monty's grave even if it's after the funeral you hear me? Then you stay in my house until I can talk to Gambler and understand what is going on with this. I swear on my own grave I don't know anything about this. Get to the border and I'll be there. I'll find out when the funeral is going to be so we can be there. And...Pack a rainsuit, it looks like rain." He said, watching as the clouds kept building and building.
