How do you know?
I'm going as a lich for Halloween. Got my phylactery and getup and everything.

I'm going as Orochimaru.
I know because I've seen pictures of you.
I think you're a tad taller than I am and wider by a good amount.
You should chop your body off and go as a Demi Lich, because they're so much cooler.

Is there a real difference? I don't feel like being 'demi' anything.

Sure there is a difference.
A demi lich is a much more powerful spell caster, has better stats and has unlimited uses of Imprisonment.

So if it's better, why is it a Demi Lich? Wouldn't it be a Greater Lich or something?

I think the demi doesn't stand for 'half' but as the demi in 'demiurge'. Which doesn't really apply, because demiurge literately means 'worker for the people'. Then there are Arch Lichs, but meh. Dunno much about tabletop RPGs anyway.

Well, in D&D a Demi-Lich is MUCH more powerful than a normal lich.

Well.. I think he means Demi as in like.. when used in term for a mortal that's like, so powerful he's termed as a 'demi-god'

But then, a god would be more powerful than a demi-god, and so a lich would be more powerful than a demi-lich. According to Jar, that's not the case, and therin lies the rub. >.>

But then again you ARE refering to a system of gaming in which you can summon forth torrents of monsters to do your bidding but if you can't roll a 10 you're powerless to remove the hinges from a door, or worse; if you aren't of a certain job, then you can't POSSIBLY know how to use a sword or other simple pointy object.
