Dusk smiled when she saw Kyoshi but that smile wavered when she saw the look on his face. What was going on? Frowning some, she turned so that she could listen to what it was that he had to say, tilting her head a bit to the side. “What are you talking about?” She frowned more but as the words came, the look of confusion turned to one of disbelief and by the time he was handing her the papers, Dusk was pissed. “She… she’s saying…” Fists clenched, Dusk screamed, not knowing any other way to get her anger out before promptly getting off the table, her nails digging into her palms. If it wasn’t for Kyoshi pleading with her… damn it all, she would have tracked down Gambler and killed her.
“She’s daring to do this! Under what reason? Because her and Rave aren’t’ together? Because we busted our asses to get over the differences and try to save her?!” Dusk’s eyes were turning darker, a trait that all shadow users seemed to have. With her already dark eyes, however, it wasn’t quite as terrifying, but the implication was still there. “And what’s this about us not being able to go near there? Does she know that Joker wanted Eldin in his hospitals? That Kalore was f*cking breaking down when Monty was deemed dead?” Her words were coming in sharp hisses, anger coming off her in waves. “How dare she do this!”
Gambler was someone that Dusk highly respected, but she was beginning to have next to none for her as she crossed the line with the funeral rules. “I understand most of us not being there for his funeral, Kyoshi, because none of my people even know most of your group, but Kalore isn’t allowed there? At all?” her own shadow seemed to take off, pacing the floor on its own as she gave another angry yell, wanting to just go and hit something but the only option was Kyoshi and… and she loved him too much for that.
Taking in a shaky breath, Dusk tried to calm herself but it was getting to be near impossible. “What of my group? Talon is still technically an elf and Ziggy is of elvish genetics, counted in our system from his race. What of them? They’ve been there longer than even she has, but is she going to attack them as well?” Bitterness was obvious, but nothing beat the situation with Kalore. How dare that woman… and she was saying that it was just Kalore thinking all this? He had known but he had been brainwashed into it; the fact that he had fought it had proved how much trust he actually did have in Monty. Gambler doubting that… it pissed her off to the point of no return.
“I’ve been creating things to help bridge the two nations together, Kyoshi. Has she considered that? No, of course not.” Maybe Dusk was being just a bit too hard on Gambler, but this time the woman had seriously gone too far. To do all of these things, to act in this way for honestly no reason… “The two cities are becoming constantly bothered with one another, seeing as that’s the word she probably wants to use as well, and it would make sense to connect them more so that defenses can be better monitored, but these new laws…” Dusk shook her head, seething. She couldn’t get her temper down, no matter how hard she tried. It didn’t matter, however. She would have to continue t o attempt because Kyoshi was still a member of Gambler’s group and she would do nothing to ruin that. But these new laws… so many things were going to be ruined.
Speaking softly, Dusk took a small tally, “My group could be in danger… Kit can’t go and see Joker… Eldin can’t work in the hospitals… we now have to bring you in more than we have and even faster to abide by her rules which is going to mess up a lot of what Rave has been trying to set up,” with a race as old as the elves, things couldn’t suddenly be changed. Getting rid of the council would be the step that they needed but even that was becoming a hassle. But there was more. “I can only visit during business which means I can’t see my group… Harley and the others now have to avoid Area 6 which is my docking area and restoration area for them… and Kalore…” That pissed her off the most.
“Kalore will be at the funeral or we’re going to find some way for him to pay his respects, Kyoshi. You need to tell her that. Some of these rules I will abide by because she did have my respect, but others… Too many things are going to be harmed because of her and that is something I will not stand for.”

Kyoshi sighed and shook his head. "No Dusk." No, she wasn't going to do anything to piss Gambler off. Sure it could be that she was pissed off because of Rave but that part of her would soon turn old and die off like so many others memories have and she would just have to keep away from people for another few centuries to get herself in control.
Anyways, Kyoshi stood in front of the the desk and wanted to reason with Dusk, having figured from Gambler's point of view of why she did her things. "Dusk, not all of this had to do with Rave. If you learned the things that would said maybe you would be pissed off to. She never asked us to come for her. Why do you think she went off in the first place? If it was me I would be willing to let myself go just to let you all have a chance at the bad guy but that's it. If anything let me reason with her about your group who live in Area 6."
Damnit he didn't want to argue or even betray either side but this was tricky. Very tricky. "It's been planned way before all this happen that she wanted me to be a representative of the city and the allies so that we can try to work together. The only reason for that was because she didn't want me parted from you and to help give you insight on what goes on within our borders and the ones further away."
"For another, she doesn't want to see me walked all over and looked down on just because I'm an outsider. However she has her own reasons and those are her own. Please don't try to confront it. Let me be the middleman to find a compromise please?" He was pleading again, and pretty good at it since he never did it. "Dusk what are the main things that are going to be affected by this? Tell me what they are and let me do the job she's set for me to find a middle ground. That's what ambassadors do." He looked seriously at her.

Her fists remained clenched as she watched him, her eyes deadly. “What’s going to be messed up? Seriously? Kyoshi, you’ve seen that people now are accepting you, people are now taking you as one of us because you haven’t done any damage. By having you here, among us and actually shown helping, then that was helping us be able to get more people on my side and away from the council. You being an ambassador isn’t the problem.” No, she had made him out to be one recently, anyway, even if it was just to get Kyoshi to understand a bit more about what was all going on and to have something to do with laws and such… it had been a lie at the time, but now apparently it was real. She shook her head.
“The problem is that she’s strong arming us, Kyoshi, and no one takes well to that. Forcing the council to have you there, forcing us to keep out of Area 6 out of fear of death… Kyoshi, that’s some laws that tend to cause conflict. We’ve been working damn hard, Rave and I, to get the prejudice gone from this place but those laws, the moment they’re made public so that people both know, it’s going to cause an up rise. I promise you that the council is going to use these laws to throw it in my face, to show that the race of that area is nothing but an ungrateful bunch.”
Her arm was raised before he could speak, “I know that that’s not true, and I do understand that Gambler hadn’t asked us to rescue us, but we were there. Sin had to be destroyed even if she didn’t want to be seen. I wouldn’t trust someone who sacrifices themselves to get something done, no matter who it is, Kyoshi, and none of my people would either and it seemed like my group wasn’t the only one.” Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone in there in the first place. Sighing softly, she ran another hand through her hair.
“Get her to revoke this death policy, Kyoshi. That’s going to get you kicked out or imprisoned, just for being from there. Why would we have an ambassador of a place that doesn’t allow us in there? If anything, there’s going to be a death policy here and I don’t want that.” She closed her eyes for a moment, sighing softly. “All issues aside… I’m mostly angry about this thing with Kalore and Monty…” Surely Kyoshi would at least understand her anger on that. “I understand not having us there but… they were lovers, none of us are going to deny that. Why will she not allow Kalore at least a visit to him?”

"What fear of death? There is no fear of death here Dusk. Do you think any one of us are afraid of death? No, I would glad embrace death if I didn't have you. Any one of us would. You have the power to do anything you want here. Do it regardless of what others thing and will do. To be really honest, I haven't seen alot of the people here not viewing us as an ungrateful bunch. Thanks to Sin's antics it's going to cause a rift worse than some petty laws."
Kyoshi had to stop and count to ten because he wasn't here to piss off Dusk nor go against either women's views. "Look, whatever her reasons are that's her. If she doesn't want Kalore there than fine. Let it be. By now the body is propably been sent to his family because demon's don't have normal funerals like the rest of us here on this plane." Damnit this was going to suck. "Look. What if I get her on the phone and we work this out right now because if we go now she's not going to be in the same place. What do you say?"

For a moment, Dusk just watched Kyoshi. Did he not understand what Gambler’s laws were implying? Did he not understand that an automatic death sentence on elf was one of the biggest insults that a nation could get? The fact that those that didn’t even have anything to do with her were now being gone again… Dusk wasn’t too sure that she was even able to look at him for a moment, finding that her shadow had finally connected with her while she had looked away by sometime. Taking a slow, careful breath, she spoke carefully. “Kyoshi… It isn’t being afraid of death that’s the problem… the problem is that she is making it to where our cities can’t mix. That alone will make having an ambassador useless.”
She really didn’t know what else to say. Dusk took in another careful breath, shaking her head as she frowned more, watching him with another careful expression. “I want Kalore to be able to see Monty one last time, Kyoshi. I don’t know if you heard him, but many of us did. If that alone is allowed then I’ll talk with her civilly, but at the moment… Kyoshi, I know that I’m not going to be able to do that. She can make it to where Rave can’t go there, where my group and her group can’t mix anymore… I’m fine with that. But she can’t keep people apart like this and expect us all to sit back and allow it. The fact that you are is actually…” Surprising? Insulting? Disgusting? She really didn’t know which word to use.

Kyoshi furrowed his brows, narrowing his gaze. "The fact that I'm what? Trying not to piss off two women? Trying not to take sides between the both of you? Trying to help find some sort of common ground?" His voice was raising higher and higher. Damnit and he was so close to accomplishing being peaceful. Looks like peaceful and jerks just didn't mix.
"What part of she has her own reasons didn't you get? If my being okay with this bothers you then say it now Dusk." Reaching over her took the paper that claimed him to be ambassador for the other cities and ripped it. "I don't want to be this crap since it's obvious it's not needed. How about I go right ahead and just keep the distance between us to let you do what you need to do as a Queen while I just got back to being a hitman? I don't want to leave here but since I'm not useful and obviously not really welcomed I can just go. In the meantime, just listen and leave Kalore here. His mental state is not going to be welcomed." He crossed his arms, starting to get angry.

Watching him, Dusk wasn’t sure on what to do. She knew that Kyoshi was rash… he had always been rash and she had never been too better but… this? “Kyoshi… I told you that having you as the ambassador wasn’t the problem… it was Gambler’s policy. Are you not even listening to me?” With his yelling, she knew someone was going to end up hearing and hopefully it was no one important. This was all becoming too much of a hassle. Closing her eyes, she took in a slow breath. “Fine… I’ll let Gambler play Goddess and we’ll go by her laws. I don’t like it and I don’t want to talk to her about it because if the man who loves me won’t listen, then why would she?”
Her eyes opened and she was watching Kyoshi with eyes that were… shining. Through all of this, Dusk had done well. She hadn’t broken down, she hadn’t flipped out… she had done very, very well. But now? This was too much. “I want you to stay with me, Kyoshi, ambassador or not, that’s what I want… I don’t want you to go back to being a hit man, just like you don’t want me to go back to being a thief. What Gambler is doing, however, is wrong. I’m not going to fight you on this anymore, and you can tell her that her strong arm technique now is working, but either she or yourself needs to explain to everyone why they can’t see one another.”
Looking down at the torn paper, Dusk shook her head, sighing before she just walked past Kyoshi. She wasn’t going to cry in front of him, not now. Maybe if all of this hadn’t happened then she could, but not with Kyoshi like he was. She had to break down sometime, however, and their room was now empty, so that would be the perfect place; especially seeing as Kyoshi was apparently mad at her now. Great.

Kyoshi slapped his forehead and blow out a sigh of air. "You know what? I give up. I think Gambler did have a good reason why we all shouldn't mix. Your obviously not trying to stop seeing it from your side to look at if from the other side. Your so caught up in you you you that you don't stop to see and listen to what's being said. All of this is turning into something that doesn't have to be so f*cked up that it's turning into that right now." He looked away, not wanting to look at Dusk.
"It's not about being a f*cking Goddess or anything. She's doing what she feels is right for her side just like you would do anything for this side. But no, obviously everything I'm saying is falling on deaf ears right? Because all of this has to do with Gambler being an a**hole and Kalore not getting the chance to see Monty. He's had his chance. Enough is enough. If Kalore can't get over that then there is no reason for anyone to ever have contact again. We should just go back to how everything was before all of this. As if we never knew the other existed." Kyoshi was breathing hard, trying so hard to not yell and raise his voice because he was losing his temper and didn't want some nosy elf listening to them from a long distance., watching as Dusk walked past him.

Stopping, Dusk nearly lost it as she took in a slow, careful breath. “Fine, Kyoshi… Fine, I’ll take the blame for not listening, alright?” That was actually the first time that she had ever done that. Normally, Dusk didn’t like taking blame for anything but… there was no winning this. She didn’t want to end up losing everything that he had gained from Area 6 all because of this but… there wasn’t much that she could do. “I’ll drop everything about everyone… but… no, never mind. That’ll be too much.” To ask about Eldin and Kit… no, Kyoshi would probably just think her being deaf and not listening anymore. It wasn’t worth it.
Her voice was bitter, but it was beginning to shake as she nearly sprinted to just get to her room, shadows overtaking her as she landing on the bed, just breaking down. With the door locked and the windows sealed, Dusk allowed herself to break down, wishing more than anything that she could have Kyoshi just go back to supporting her or doing something that wasn’t painful, but it seemed like they were back to where they had been before and where everyone was before. Kalore wasn’t going to be able to say goodbye, Eldin was going to end up working here instead of helping Joker, Kit probably wasn’t going to be able to see him either, and her own group…
Damn it all, she wanted nothing to do with the Area anymore. This was beginning to just become too much of a hassle. She had doubted it, fought it, but right now, the council was being proven right by Gambler and Kyoshi both; they apparently were just too different.

Kyoshi sighed and sat down in the chair, covering his face with his hand. The man didn't want to say those things nor did he want to....Really he just didn't want anything anymore. He felt so tired of everything because it had to be political or this or that. Nothing could just never be the way it should but this wasn't a perfect world.
Great. Getting up he walked out of the office and out of this whole building. The man needed to walk for a long time to think. Hopefully it didn't end up getting him killed or getting himself frustrated over all this hell. Looks like Sin caused a rift between everyone without even trying....
Ironically enough, it was as if the world was suffering too since the sky was becoming cloudly, the sun hiding behind those gray clouds. The wind picked up slightly with the smell of rain. Sure, the world needed to be cleansed of all of these things going on right now...Maybe it will flood and drown away all the problems. Things were slowly starting to turn in Area 6, the mysterious boss made an appearance to the other leader of groups within the city to be told of the upcoming funeral of a passing soldier.
No mention of the new laws were said because those would ruin the saddness that was felt throughout. Everyone, except for a few, were gearing up for a funeral. Yet what they didn't know was that in the coffin being set up for Monty, his body wasn't going to be in there. To be honest, no one, not even Joker himself knew that Monty's body that was supposed to be sent to his family was taken to a undisclosed location. Before anything could be done, this one needed to be put to rest for the whole world to witness.

Kit had ended up falling asleep, nestled against Kalore in the side room used for the Queen, but Kalore soon was waking up, groaning softly as he began to sit up, frowning. Where was he? Panic went over him for a moment as he looked around, his eyes landing on the woman beside him before he ended up relaxing. Bit by bit, the memories of what had occurred hours before went through him and he… he nearly fell back to the ground, closing his eyes again. No… no, he didn’t want to think about that. He didn’t want to think about Monty as he… No! Thinking about him was only going to kill him.
As he got up, looking around for those that were no longer t here, Kalore found himself thinking more and more about Monty. How could he have thought that Monty would hurt him? Well, in his defense… they had ended up getting together because he was sure Monty felt sorry for him, Monty had been furious and said cruel words before… and Kalore hadn’t ever seen anyone do something like what he had witnessed before. Added to that, Eri made sure that he thought for sure that it was Monty. He had done a very good job in that, but that had nearly ruined everything else. No, not nearly… it had ruined everything. Monty was gone… completely gone.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Kalore took in a breath before he went to find his phone, calling Joker. He needed to ask him about the funeral arrangement for Monty. The elf wanted to pay his respects to the demon, give a prayer or… or something, anything. Closure. Closer was what he really needed.

Joker went to his phone and answered it with a cheerful greeting. "Has anyone died? Are you having a heart attack? Do you owe me money? If yes then speak now or forever hold your peace." He said happily, scribbling down some notes about his latest patient and taking out the organs while speaking to his assistants. "Make sure you cut off all that red hair to be donated to the cancer patients alright? We can make a nice wig with it." He said to his assistant while waiting for whoever was on the other end to talk.

The blonde blinked at the message, but that was ignored at first but the comment about the red hair had his eyes widening. “J-Joker um…” Was he working on Monty now? This quickly? No… no, he wouldn’t donate that beautiful hair, right? Biting his lip, Kalore was walking out of the room, making his way to the outside world, staying in the woods as he kept his arm around himself. “Joker um… have you… for funeral arrangements for…” If he hadn’t cried so much before, tears would have pricked at the other’s eyes but he controlled himself, taking in slow, cautious breaths. He wouldn’t break down again. No… no, he couldn’t break down again.

Joker blinked and frowned. "Kalore? Your awake! How are you feeling? Did you get out of bed? Get back to bed and everything will be fine." Then it took the man a second to catch on to what Kalore was asking and sighed. "I haven't got a clue. No one's told me when it's going to happen. If you like I can call Gambler or you can?" He asked gently to the elf.

“Yeah I… I’m awake.” He sighed softly, a bit upset that the other had seen him at that point but it wasn’t like Joker hadn’t helped him from a low point before. The memories had him smiling just a bit, even if he had punched him in the face… Oh, he probably needed to apologize for that. “I’ll call her. You need… you need to rest too, Joker.” Giving a soft sigh, Kalore was thinking if he actually still had the woman’s number, but he was sure that he did. “Um… something else… Joker… um… thanks for helping me… not just this time but… well… the other times… even if you got hit for it…”
