He's soooo much harder than Mithos.
I wasn't to see Tales of Legendia too...
Zelos just plain rawks.

Tales of Symphonia was very good, even if I couldn't stand the main character. It was the supporting characters who were awesome, especially Zelos, which is funny because I like the alternate ending better than the others, probably because that's a big twist.
Tales of Legendia was supposed to be not too great. Tales of the Abyss is looking to be very interesting. Legendia supposedly screwed the battle system by making it completely 2-d instead of 3-d, but on 2-d lines that changed orientation on a 3-d plane depending on the enemy targeted. Abyss made it so that you could toggle "free run" a la Star Ocean 3, but that otherwise the rest is exactly the same as Symphonia.
So in other words, Symphonia's battle system plus more maneuverability.
Also: I hate hate HATE Star Ocean 3.

I liked the characters, although the main character always seems to be on a lower intellect level than everyone else. I think Senel was the smartest one out of all the main characters.
I'll agree with you there. I really liked the way that ToS followed your characters throughout the whole battle. ToL kind of loses some of it's luster there. It's hart to imagine a good boss battle there. Imagine the "Dragon Island" you have to fight in ToS... it would look so crappy in ToL.

Jarlaxle Baenre I'd like to see your art Kozo. You should show it to me. I'll try asking some people. Also, in the manga, Naruto makes more of a sound instead of words. Kind of like Kenshin's "Oro?" This actually seems like it's becoming a running cliche in japanese RPGs. Tid(t)us and Lloyd are both dumbasses. I also can't stand how stupid Fayt is in SO3. I mean, sure, he seems smart, but take the dumbest person from a society millions of years advanced in technology and put him in medieval times, and of course he'll seem smart. Who else... Jude in Wild Arms 4 is probably the dumbest of the main characters, although not by as great a margin as others, and the characterization in that game is admittedly rather weak, despite it being very fun. I think those are all the recent RPGs I've played and they along with, apparently, Tales of Legendia have main characters who are comparatively stupid.

They're trying a tad too hard to make the game "funny".
In ToL I hated Will, Moses and Groon seemed too cliched and Jay... I just couldn't get into his role. He just didn't fit in right. I was alright with Norma and Chloe.
In ToS, the only reason i liked Sheena was because of her battle abilities. That's it. Zelos, I liked. Personality in his own little way, although he's kind of like Vash or a few others.
Regal... Goku and Kenshin in one.
Genis and Rein... meh... Rain and Will are like the same character, except for a few differences that made me hate will. Genis, the Genius sidekick with weak combat ability. Where have I seen that before?
Persea, the "Taciturn Girl" routine is starting to get way to common to enjoy it.
And of course how can we forget the "I'm better than you warrior with a plot twist"? Someone really liked Star Wars there.

Ah, not a problem! I was cramming anyway, so I couldn't have written a post. Problem is, I might not write one until Thursday, since I'm way behind in my studies and I've exceeded my procrastination quota. Philosophy essay, may the fires consume you... after you've been evaluated, of course. Otherwise it'd be just counterproductive.
REVENGE!
Man, now's the perfect time to use one of my characters. I could just let Fenrys save Willie though...
