To elaborate, I hate the hardcore fanboys who argue about ******** EVERYTHING about Star Wars. It's kind of killing the entire series for me.
Hardcore fans of anything are buzzkills. They generally manage to suck the joy out of everything interesting by arguing about it incessantly, or otherwise just being obnoxious asshats.

I know. I keep trying to not let their idiotic banter get to me, but they still manage to irk me. Especially the ones who act like prequel fan haters.
I thought you were gonna go on some rant about the Extended Universe, to be honest. Also, Phantom Menace was s**t aside from the fights with Darth Maul and the podraces. The other two were at least bearable.

I actually like quite a lot of the Expanded Universe, especially the Old Republic series. Kreia has got to be one of the best written characters in the entire Star Wars franchise. HK-47 and Revan are badasses, too.
I like how most of the whole star wars thing goes right over my head because I don't give a ********, and then people are always like "HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS??????" It never fails to make me feel better about myself, because the reason is always "I have better things to do with my time." XD

I only read into the EU when I'm incredibly bored, though. xd

So I'm planning on in the future doing a marathon, then after that doing an iron man marathon, then after that I'm gonna attempt to play at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Really?
That's quite the goal.

Which is really cool.

On a completely different note, we got a PS3. So far, I've used it to: Watch a Blu-Ray Movie (Losers), Netflix, Play FFX-2, and watch Episodes I downloaded of Glee,
Which is so cool, because we used to have to lay all close and the laptop would get hot on my chest, where it sat and we watched it, now I just upload s**t to a Flash Drive, and plug it in.
PS3 ftw.

Yeah and if I made it to the Olympics(and possibly got a medal in whatever I'm gonna do) you could totally gloat to your friends and be like "I knew that guy way back before he even thought about being in the Olympics!"

okay, I'm gonna be the guy to break this to you.

My dad (who was in actual running shape), ran marathons for TWENTY years. He did good! But even before distance running became popular amongst track athletes, he only placed in the top 200 in Boston once, and won one state marathon.

If you think you can do it, great!

But it is not easy by any measure.

My AP English teacher tried out for the Olympics. She did that one preliminary in Houston. She ran the entire course in 2:44:55. You have to do it in under 3 hours I think, and I don't even know how long the course is.

The main thing is stamina. If you are looking to run a looonngg way then you just need to find your stride and be able to keep it up and work on it.

Distance running is about more than stamina

It's about knowing how mcuh energy to store and when to use it. Going uphill? Take it slow, because on the downhill you'll barely use any energy and the combined saved effort will help you scream down the straightaways

I don't think they're hating. Just being realistic about it.

I am gonna give some advice to you Reg. Start now if you want to try at all. Average Track & Field Olympians are around 25-29 roughly? I can't give an exact number, and being from Canada, you are probably healthy enough to keep training for a long time, but you better start working now to reach your prime.

Tried to do a little research. 20 hours a week of dedicated training for eight years is all I can find so more. I will do some more research. You will have to work harder than that if you want to make it to the gold. Not to mention that no matter how hard you work your body can fail you. You have to be a naturally built long distance mover if you want to top gold medalists.

The going to the 2020 olympics part was a joke... Well the competing part.

I already know that If I were to compete it's be like 2032 before I ever was competing in one.
