As more came in, Chessera cursed before she began to enter bodies, making sure that she took them over completely before she moved on to the next one. With how fast she moved, she was impossible to see but it was obvious on what she was doing. How possession worked with Chessera was that whoever she touched, whoever she decided to enter, their mind stopped; they would become nothing more than mindless beings, filled with misery and wanting nothing more than to just end it all. The opposite effect happened with Jezebel, but sometimes it was impossible for her to stop the effect; either of them. Now, however, she made the beings fight one another, having one of them even lash out at Sin himself. Somehow, Gambler wasn’t attacked, but it wasn’t easy. No… Chessera had to struggle with them and it was beginning to wear on her.

Hearing the sounds, Kalore and Rave turned to the sounds, both on opposite ends of the compound. Harley watched as Kalore sprinted, gesturing for him to follow, “Come.” He groaned but did so. He couldn’t tell what exactly it was that was going on but he knew that the beasts themselves were beginning to go back to the main area of the compound and it would do well for everyone if they ended up stopping them from entering. His sister was in there and even if he didn’t like her, he had to make sure that she was going to be okay.

Rave was moving quickly, using the shadows to block off the majority of the creatures from reentering before he got in their way, a content smirk on his features as his sword was back in his hand. This was perfect… so many to slash down, so many ways to get out the rage that he had kept in since seeing the puppet of Isabelle. Now that the others were inside… he could just cut down the fools. How fun.

Something in him froze. Frowning, Rave waved his hand and the sword was gone, shadows blocking the creatures and keeping him in place. What was going on? His ear twitched as he focused on the sounds that were coming from the central room, but it was the words that e heard that caused him to lose it. Hands falling to his side, he entered the room with shadows surrounding him but it took him a moment to register what it was that he was seeing. That was Gambler and she… “No…” Whispering the word, surprise was gone in a moment, replaced by a rage that he hadn’t felt in so… so long.

A single breath was taken as shadows faded around him and the lights began to vanish. The knife in Kyoshi’s possession was gone as well, in Rave’s hand as he moved quickly, grabbing Sin’s neck as he pulled back, ramming the knife through his heart from the back, making sure to have it as painful as possible. He leaned over, whispering, “That ‘b*tch’ is the one person that will decide how slow you die, Sin.” Rave smirked, the lights beginning to let up once more, having faded for only a second to catch Sin off guard, not that the elf meant to do it. It happened when he got angry; light faded.

Sin was shoved away, only to be followed and the knife to go back through his heart, the shadows lodging their ways into the wounds, keeping them open and burrowing deeper into the other. Rave looked… unfazed, however. Walking calmly, he spoke, “Kyoshi… save Gambler… Dusk and the others are up near the entrance…” His words were calm as the shadows turned nearly savage against the seraph. It was becoming obvious that as long as he made the wound with this… he could really do anything that he wanted and it would just be humorous to him. To watch this man be destroyed… he didn’t want Sin killed. No, that was too fast, too kind. He wanted the other completely annihilated.

Rave spoke fast, “Chess… one of you are in this room… Do something.” Chessera materialized before she nodded, closing her eyes and getting a hold of her sister. “I can get Je-“ “I don’t care.” He took a step forward, a smirk appearing on his features as he watched the man in front of him, kneeling down as he watched the shadows begin to invade Sin’s body, taking over the poison in his blood. Rave wanted the b*****d to live for as long as he could allow it. “Just save Gambler.” There was a look of concern on the other’s face but she nodded, fading as she contacted her sister, appearing beside Kyoshi and Nyx.

“Jezebel can save her.” She was nearly floating in order to keep up with them, her feet never touching the ground or her face in their direction. They couldn’t see, but her twin, her near clone, sunk down into Gambler’s body, beginning to take over.

It wasn’t like it was with the beasts from before, because Chessera and Jezebel did similar things but with different effects. Instead of the pain and terror that her sister caused, the opposite effect happened; those that she possessed became numb to pain, calm, stable both physically and mentally as she worked with them to get them back to normal, healed. Did she know Gambler? No… but she did know that her sister actually tried to save this woman and that was enough for her to want to do the same. She was the youngest of the two of them, the one that tended to do all of the following orders… but that didn’t mean anything now. All that mattered was that she kept Gambler stable to where she would be able to be fixed up.

Shivers went through both of them however as she spoke, using Gambler’s voice. “The poison… it’s burning even me…” Nothing more was said as Chessera sighed softly, looking at the others. “She can keep her alive, Seraph, but she cannot do so forever… Whatever affects this host will affect my sister. Do you know how to heal something like this?”

Rave continued to watch Sin, tilting his head to the side. “I will never understand people like you, Sin.” He spoke with the calm air of someone that knew everything that was going to happen, and in a way he did. Rave knew what was going to happen to Sin; the shadows would continue to block off the poison from getting to his vitals as it also slowly expanded in him, breaking blood vessels and other veins. Rave looked amused as he brought the knife down, tracing his neck with the blade. “I am afraid that torture is not something that fancies my taste… but it seems like you are hard to kill, no?” Such a lie. Rave could kill him now but… he wanted to wait… he wanted to have this man suffer. The elf hadn’t wanted this for anyone in… years.

Jezebel nearly panicked when she saw what was in Joker’s hand, but she had to keep herself calm as well for risk of panicking Gambler. With the disruption of the Soul Stealer’s work, she didn’t know how much of the woman was even alive… which wasn’t good at all, but she sighed softly. Stilling herself, Jezebel felt Gambler keep trying to fade, forcing her back into some form of focus before she calmed both of them once more. She wondered, briefly, if she could control the woman… but she wouldn’t do so. No… now wasn’t a good time to think of things like that anyway.

“Kyoshi!” Dusk dropped down beside the angel, frowning up at him, “What happened? These things are like… stopping.” She turned, watching as Kalore and Edward were able to get rid of nearly all of them, Talon and Harley working together now instead. Dusk was still pale, still a bit freaked, but she glanced over at the other, “Did you get her? We lost track of Rave. Is he down there?”

Raising a brow at him, Rave laughed softly; the first laugh that anyone had heard from him in a long time. He shook his head before his thumb pressed against Sin’s eye, a nearly peaceful look in his eye as he slowly pressed down, releasing him once one eye was ruined. “You see… I have noticed the problem with higher beings… Everyone is an inferior to them…and I am afraid that that is just not so… You succeeded in killing no one but having Eri destroyed.” The man smiled and it was beautiful. Sin and Rave both just had that look… how odd it must be for Sin to be seeing the same one on someone else…

“Gambler will be kept alive. Recovery will be difficult, but it will occur.” His knife was back as he watched the shadows eating away at Sin’s legs, his arms, anything that wasn’t completely vital. “You, however… I don’t believe you will recover.” Standing up, he watched him before the knife was held up, point down to Sin’s face. “Goodbye, my dear… It has been lovely.” The knife dropped, landing perfectly between Sin’s eyes as the shadows took over his heart.

“I know enough.” Shadows overtook Rave and soon he was with the others, working quickly to rid them of the beasts around them. He refused to go near where Joker and Gambler were, not wanting to lose anymore of himself than what he had already done. But, he did keep the two knives that had been there before; he wanted to keep them, wanted to store them and place them with the other weapons that he held unless Kyoshi, Monty, or Gambler wanted them… and even then he might not give the objects up. He glanced over as he heard Joker speaking, beginning to take a step forward but he stopped; no… it was best of he didn’t bother them.

Dusk looked surprised as she felt the other hugging her but… did he know about what had just happened? Dear Goddess, she hoped not… if he knew about that then she was seriously screwed. “I… I’ll get them there.” Standing on tiptoe, she gently kissed him before going to Joker and Gambler, “Then I’ll take you.” Without hesitating, she made sure that they had everything before she and the two were gone, Jezebel panicking again as she paced inside of Gambler. It was… odd… being able to feel herself more when there was nothing physical about her at the moment, but soon they were in the center room. “Eldin!”

Hearing his name, the man rounded and his eyes widened. “Um…” He quickly went into his doctor mode, getting his own items as a place was made to put Gambler. “What’s the damage?”

Dusk looked back at the other, sighing softly, “I’ll go see if I can find him.” She stood up, watching as Eldin nodded and went to go get the things that they would end up needing. “I’ll see if there’s a supply here. Does it matter what kind?” He was looking through his own medical supplies, waiting for the answer while also getting the things that were needed to save Gambler. After getting it, he nodded and quickly was gone. He just needed enough to suffice for now, and then they could get really specific about what it was that they had to give her to get her healthy. Right now, survival was key.

The others all nodded, everyone gone besides Talon as he sighed, “That’s the Greek… right?” his arms crossed and he began to move, “I’ll find him and take him back to the palace.” He kept close to the barriers of the compound, really wanting to avoid being killed or attacked… but Rave was in his sight and he hailed him, “Rave, get over here.” Seeing the expression on his face, Talon paled, immediately turning respectful but Rave was beside him anyway. “U-Um, everyone’s heading back…” The elf nodded, “And why are you not?” “Uh, finding the Greek dude…” “Go and I will get him. I am faster anyway.” talon couldn’t argue about that one. He was gone and it didn’t take long for Rave to find the other.

Sighing, his arms crossed, “It is time for us to leave, Acario.” And he wasn’t in the mood to deal with anyone.

Eldin was back quickly, kneeling beside the other with the packs of blood. “I just got whatever.” He tried to get O, but sometimes it wasn’t there… and he might have grabbed something else, but the boy was just a bit panicked. He watched as the others were beginning to come to the area but they all ignored what was going on. They kept their distance, Edward walking over to Raul, kneeling down along with Talon while Harley went to Chessera and Sean, glancing over every now and then; but not for Gambler. Jezebel was still struggling to make sure that both of them stayed alive and it was wearing on her more now than before.

“I do not care.” Rave began to turn back, walking away, “Get to the palace, however. If you need access to the palace once more, talk to Hibachi.” Nothing more was said as Rave was walking in the direction of the palace, not wishing to get there quickly. He didn’t think that he would be needed with Gambler; didn’t she hate him? Wasn’t she hurt because he had ended up pushing her away at the worst time? Yes, Gambler had been angry and hadn’t listened but… Rave should have done something. He was beating himself up for it, but his pace was quick. Getting to the palace just to check on the others was a high priority.

Jezebel was gone before Joker even finished speaking. Rushing to her sister, she was nothing but a blur as the two faded, coming into focus as a single being, Harley sighing softly as he ran a hand through his hair. “At least you’re alright…” Chess nodded, stretching as she sighed softly. Chessera and Jezebel could enter one another’s bodies, gaining the energy from the other without any damage to each other, but there were some side effects… like sometimes they would repeat things, sometimes they would end up becoming bipolar if they had differing opinions of someone… but Harley just touched Chess’ arm, leading them into a room where Sean was resting. “Just sleep, alright?”

Smiling a bit at Joker, Eldin nodded, “If… If you wish for help in your hospital, then I will help.” It wasn’t like he really had a steady job anymore… unless Dusk hired him or something. Looking back at Gambler, he touched her forehead before he continued to check on the other wounds, focusing mostly on the quick jobs that Joker had done before. “We need to move her… She’s becoming more stable, so after this bag then we need to move her to where she’ll have more privacy.”

Rave sighed as he felt the tug of his heart, urging him to just get closer to the palace, sprint, run, use his shadows… anything to just get him there. He couldn’t do it, however, before he soon found himself at the door, blinking. How had he gotten there? Looking at his feet, he noticed the receding shadows, groaning softly. Apparently he wasn’t as controlled as he thought. Sighing softly again, he entered the room, his eyes landing on Gambler. He didn’t speak before he walked over to the woman, kneeling down. She looked… better… but he was no medic. “How… How is she, Joker… Eldin…?” Will she make it?
