[Wow...that was just...wow....and wasn't Kaiser with Rike?]
Malen smiled and nodded, looking almost enlightened as they moved towards each other, although stopping Rike as he tried to embrace her.
Rike looked a bit hurt, but his surprise covered that all too well, "What...what happened?" he then looked at her clothes and then the child, "And what's with the new clothes and the little girl?"
"Rebirth Rike," Malen said, letting go of Saia to hold her father's hand. "I've been reborn." she turned his hand palm upward, squeezing it lightly before backing up, "Goodbye Rike." she then disappeared, Saia fading away soon after.
Rike stared at the spot for a long time before looking at his hand and nearly broke down in tears, "She gave it back. The lighter...she gave back..." he said, dropping the lighter as if it burned his skin.
"I...I can't believe this..."

Kaiser landed, breathing heavily. He'd lost Rike somewhere along the way. He saw him drop the lighter and break down. He leaned over and picked it up. Kaiser put a hand on Rike's shoulder. His voice was soft. "Rike, what has happened?"

"Malen..." Rike said, continuing to look at his hand, "She's gone. That b*****d did something to her and now she's gone."

Anubis appeared seemingly out of nowhere and rubbed against Rike's legs. The large male cat then sat and looked up at him with gold eyes. He then reared up and pawed at Rike's pants.

"Rike, we will get her back." Kaiser stood up, a battle hardened expression on his face. "Only one person we know can tell us where she's gone and I think we should pay him a visit." He pushed the lighter into Rike's hand and his expression softened again. "Hold onto this for her. She'll want it back."

About the same time that Remus and Lina landed in Japan, another thread was about to be weaved into the tale.
Inside one of the unoccupied rooms of the base, a power was forming. A dark magic was seeping through the walls and landing on the floor, slowly building into shape.
Back before the rest of the Lotus had moved in, Remus, Lina, and Leila had decided to check it out. They had been confronted by apparitions that they needed to defeat before the base was purified. Remus was never able to defeat his apparition before he was called away...
This unpurified energy was now returning with the aide of two beings in the spirit world. That energy had finally finished it's transformation. A grey and black lycan stepped forward, one eye green and the other yellow. When he spoke his voice sounded like two beings. "You may have defeated us once Remus... but now we're able to defeat you..." The voices melded into one. "Prepare yourself Remus. Fenrir and Alastor are now one and they both want your blood..."

Rike merely folded, keeping silent as they went into the Nocturne.

Kaiser stayed silent also, opening the door for Rike as they entered the Nocturne. He made sure to cast a small spell, making sure no one else would notice them.

Merlin moved to him instead of sitting in her chair. She grabbed his shoulders and got him to look at her, "You need to calm yourself. As hard as that sounds, your mind is probably going around in feverish circles and it needs to be stationary and focused. Can you do that for me, no, not for me, can you do that for yourself, for Malen?" She asked.

(so lets just say that Karrot and Roma have been playing for a bit...)
Karrot sat down to take a break, resting his blistered, aching fingers in some cold water while Aron used a small healing spell on his left wrist after he nearly broke it in the last song.
Karrot looked around at the happy listeners and looked to Aron and then back at the crowd yelling with a smile,
"We'll be back to play our personal favorite soon, but that last song nearly killed us!"
