So, we have some kind of weasely thing for grass, a pig with long ears for fire, and an otter for water.

Well lookie here... seems like Reg was right on starters.
Also Trainers look kinda suck.What up, Reg. I knew we were right on that one. The grass starter looks the best. So pumped.

Know what would be a pretty sweet change to this game? Adding a third type to some pokemon. Like, flying-water-dragon type.

These 3 look kinda better than Sinnoh's. Also The Water starter looks like it'll either start with or eventually get an Ice subtype. The Fire one looks like it might have a ground subtype.
@Dragn: That wouldn't be that great.

If I made pokemon Gyrados woulda been Dragon/Flying and Luxray Electric/Dark.

It would be game-breaking. We'd have too many pokemon like Sableye and Spiritomb, with no weaknesses, or Pokemon with like X6 weaknesses, which would suck.
Also, I agree, Fire-Ground would be neat for the Pig. Or Fire-Dark.
For the Grass, I could see it being a Psychic type, and the Water, definitely Ice. I'ts got a snowball on it's head. = razz

It depends though, according to the manga, your 'rival' in D/P was actually named Pearl, and the girl was named Platinum.
