Bringing the water back to him, Talon cooled the metal quickly, allowing it to set before he went back to work. He would have to do this a few more times, just to make sure that it was going to hold. Muttering to himself every now and then, the redhead shook his head before he leaned back on his haunches, watching his work. It was a sturdy blade, but he still wasn’t completely sure on the connection of the handle. Touching it, the metal not burning his fireproof hands, Talon nodded a bit, “I think that this is going to work… This is the best that I can do, however.” Back in the water it went, his eyes glancing over at the watching Nyx. “Do we know who is using this yet?”

Dusk nodded some, “I’ll go in this group and we’ll take Kalore with us as well.” She glanced over at Rave. “Where did you send him, anyway?” The man sighed softly, “He’ll be back momentarily. It doesn’t take too long and I doubt that he’s gotten distracted…” Or so he hoped. In his mode of battle, however, Kalore tended to not be as… blonde. Sighing softly once more, his arms were crossed before Kalore walked in, raising a brow at the others. “Distracted?” He blinked some, shrugging as Eldin quickly told him what was going on. “Yeah, I’ll go in the first group. How many of these things can be physically hurt?”

It didn’t take long to have Jezebel by his side; she had always liked blondes. “There are humanoid men there… They should be hurt by… these?” Her hand went to touch the arrows and Kalore quickly touched her wrist, a sickly sweet smile on his lips. “No touching, please, Miss.” Jezebel made a face, her arms crossing once her hand was given back to her. Dusk rolled her eyes, as did Rave. “We leave now then, yes? We’re wasting time…”

He nodded, “I know that it doesn’t need to be fancy, but when you’re making this out of something that was already made and not pure… Sometimes it just makes it a lot harder. I need to make sure that it’s going to be durable and that it’s not going to end up breaking.” He sighed again, “I need to test it… Do you have a knife on you that I can use?” Once it cooled and solidified completely, Talon wanted to make sure that the connection would be fine. If it would be then he would send it out to whoever was going to end up using it; he knew that it wouldn’t be him. He was figuring Rave… the man was scary at the moment and with any form of a blade it would scare him, but he didn’t know if he used knives… hmm.

Dusk sighed softly, thinking about that as she tapped her throat. “I’ve still got this thing in and I haven’t given it up. I’ll keep it in and give you commentary when it’s needed, but I’ll tell you through this but also with shadows, just in case something is blocked or something like that ends up happening.” She looked at the others, focusing mostly on Edward and Kalore. Dusk didn’t know for sure if those two were going to behave… but both rolled their eyes. “Let’s go.” “I’ll keep hidden, no worries.” Kalore and Edward had the same smile and that more than anything freaked her out.

“Fine then… I’ll tell you all when to come. Eldin, make sure that anyone that needs medical care here gets it, Kit, check on the others in the upper floors, alright? It seemed like they needed some things.” She sighed once more, running a hand through her hair. “Alright then… we need to get going. Just tell us where to go and we’ll go.” So off they went.

Gone and watching the people in front of them, Dusk was soon standing near a shadow, watching the others. “Okay… Kalore, you know to stay hidden and shoot only the human things. Anything else… just avoid the things that aren’t human looking please.” Kalore hadn’t been there for the Soul Stealer speech but Rave quickly filled him in as the woman glanced at Acario. “I take it you know what you’re doing?”

Rave and Edward had already gone off, both going into the shadows to check around and see what they could do while Kalore did the same. Neither would attack until all five of them were ready. Without waiting for a response, she went to her place, all of the spread out. They would take out those on the outskirts first, trying to take out as many as they could without being seen and then… then they should be able to start drawing attention and creating some fun chaos.

With a soft sigh, she nodded and Kalore let the first arrow loose, the man’s skull pierced perfectly; two men killed by Rave, Edward using a knife on another, Dusk getting rid of one of the humanish looking things… None of them had seen a Soul Stealer yet, but hopefully that would remain the case.

Raising a brow, an amused look was given as the machete was in his hand. Chuckling softly, he nodded before he touched the blade. “Don’t worry, you’ll get this back. I don’t typically use one of these so it’ll be odd for me to keep it anyway.” Chuckling softly once more, he began to test out the knife, nodding in approval before wrapping it in a cloth that he had found in one of the cells. It was dirty and pretty disgusting but… he didn’t think that Kyoshi was going to care too much about that.

Blinking, Eldin looked up, finished with Raul as he nodded. “Um, the shower is there,” He pointed, “And I’ll get you some um, clothes, okay?” The boy smiled some at t he man as he stood up, brushing himself off. “Feel free to use what you need to, I’m sure that Miss Dusk won’t mind.” Checking on Raul one last time, it wasn’t long before he trotted off to find some clothes for Joker, Harley and Ziggy both blinking as they watched him. “That kid is just too… nice…”

As more creatures came into play, Dusk and Edward were finding that they worked rather well as a team. Ice took out many of the creatures that a blade couldn’t touch and anytime that they saw even a flash of one the Soul Stealers, Dusk would grab Edward or Edward would grab her and they’d be gone. Maybe it was being paranoid but neither of them could do much with them and they refused to be heroes in this. It just wasn’t their thing and it never would be. Gritting her teeth, however, Dusk was finding that it was getting harder and harder to get away from the Soul Stealers.

“Hibachi, find out if there’s any way that we can kill these things because they’re beginning to close in on u-“ Her eyes widened as one was in front of her. Cursing loudly, she slid back but their eyes caught and her breath stopped. Frozen in place, she watched as the eyes began to change, just like how Kyoshi had said that they would, and if Edward hadn’t been there then she wouldn’t have looked away; she had been trapped, saved only be the yank by the other. His own blade went through the head of the creature but it did nothing other than stall the thing. That’s all that he needed. Keeping the queen close to him, they made it to the top of the gates again, Edward pale. “We need to kill those things…”

Dusk nodded, her breath coming in hard, short pants. Clutching her heart, her eyes were wild as she swallowed quickly, speaking, “We… We’ve got most of the… most of the things gone, Hibachi… Just… just the Soul Stealers.” Shadows covering the two hybrids, Dusk bit her lip as she watched Rave’s sword out in the open, cutting down anything that went near the angry blur, Kalore able to take out more than she had imagined he could with the few arrows that she had seen him carry. It seemed like he was retrieving them without getting touched by anything. So far they were doing good but time was wasting and they needed to get to Gambler.

Chessera was still there, having left the room when the man began to do the unspeakable, but she had made the time useful. Looking around as much as she could, she had found the throne room, quickly flitting out of the area once she saw the Soul Stealer. There had to be more out there… more than what she had seen so far, but she didn’t want to look too much. Sending the thought to Jezebel, she continued to remain connected to her sister, looking around once more. This wasn’t looking good… what was taking them so long?!

“Here.” Stepping into the room, Talon sighed softly as he had the knife wrapped in the cloth like what Nyx had recommended. “I got it finished. It’s sturdy, it’s not going to break, and it’s as sharp as I could make it.” Actually, he was surprised that the cloth had held up like it had, but it was prison wear… those were made to withstand pretty much anything. “Now, who’s using this thing?”

Ziggy’s brow raised as Talon nodded, sighing softly before he moved down to be able to get Nyx. “Eldin, talk to Joker, then.” The younger boy nodded, going into the bathroom as he placed the clothes on the counter, “Joker, you all are leaving soon, Kyoshi seems to think that it’s now. He seems to be a bit… upset.” With what had happened, or what they had thought happened, with Dusk, Eldin was surprised that the angel had lasted around as long as he had… He listened as Harley sighed some, pushing himself off the wall.

“Well then… this is going to be interesting…” he hadn’t ever dealt with Soul Stealers before. Looking at his sister, he spoke softly, “Is Chess still there?” Jezebel nodded, beginning to pace. “This is the longest that she’s ever gone away from me… Is she okay?” Harley sighed some, nodding, “IF she wasn’t then we would know it. Look, just keep checking on her every now and then, but stay here and make sure that Sean doesn’t do anything to anyone. Kit should look after him well enough but…” But sometimes things went insane and there wasn’t anything that any of them would be able to do. He didn’t realize that she had had some experience with that, but Sean wouldn’t be able to be tamed like Joker had been. It just wasn’t the same insanity.

Talon was soon knocking near the door of the room Nyx and Monty were in, speaking quickly, “Nyx, we need to get going.” He said no more before he started to head back upstairs. It would need to be done soon, mostly so that they could get to whatever Sin was doing before it actually happened.

Frowning, Chessera was keeping her own head down, floating beside Gambler. She wanted to do something but… Wait… could she possess a Soul Stealer? Well now, that was an interesting thought… if she could then that would actually end up being a bit of fun, but for the most part it was something that was terrifying. If she failed… she would just let Jezebel ask that and then they would figure it out. It would make a good distraction if she could at least attempt it.

Eldin nodded to the other, “Okay. I’ll make sure that there’s some form of barrier making sure that the others don’t go near him.” The young elf had no plans on going down there to see the demon, anyhow. He was still terrified of him and hearing what Kalore had just suffered through… Eldin wasn’t sure that he knew what to think. Monty wouldn’t do that to the annoying blonde, but that didn’t stop him from being just a small bit worried. Sighing softly, he went back to where he had been before, kneeling by Raul to make sure that he was recovering somewhat. He didn’t know what to say but he watched them leave, sighing softly as he prayed for their good luck. There was no wind, however, so if that would be granted or not… he didn’t know.

Rolling his eyes, talon kept up with her easily, “I doubt that you’d get far carrying me, my dear. I have yet to see anything impressive with those muscles of yours, so who knows? Maybe they’re for show?” An amused smirk was on his face but it was like hers. This was to get them back together, back to making sure that they weren’t thinking of these negative things that were going to ruin them, that would hold them down. They needed to get out and get there now.

Harley gave a small nod as the two passed him, walking in step with them. “I can get there faster than any of you… I’m going to go under and make sure that Dusk is still…” He looked worried and Talon had to look at his friend. What had happened? He didn’t ask, however, as he nodded. “See you there, then.” Giving a brief nod, it wasn’t long before Harley walked faster, sinking into the ground as he took hold of one of the many dead that had been buried into the ground. Using them, he was able to get to where he needed to be, surfacing as he glanced around, slowly. No Soul Stealers, so he was good, but there also was no Dusk.

Glaring at the shadows, he scoffed before he took out one of his own knives. It had been a long time since he had used his toys… why not have some fun as well? It wasn’t hard to find where the blonde elf was, and soon they were working together, Kalore simply nodding as they worked. He tried to think of something else that they could do, but when they moved in to be able to get deeper, another swarm would come, one of them would curse, and they would just repeat the process. F*ck.

Chessera wasn’t too sure that what she wanted to do would end well, but she knew for a fact that allowing this woman to die when some knew that she was here just wasn’t going to end the way she needed it to. Cursing, she was beside the Soul Stealer before she entered its body, cringing and writhing as the thoughts and wants of the creature went through her. Never had she taken over something like this but the effect was still the same. Giving a growl, she kept the Soul Stealer controlled as it faced the others of its kind, lunging at them. She knew better than to attack Sin directly. With the creatures attacking one another, she made sure that she didn’t look into any of their eyes. No need to get trapped in this body… Bastards better hurry up and get down here… She couldn’t keep this up for long.

Rolling his eyes, the knives were out, “Oh shut it.” Talon smirked at the other before they entered the compound, weapons out and moving fast to strike at those that were around them. There weren’t any Soul Stealers in the area that they were in and that… worried him. He knew that that meant that they were probably somewhere else, probably around the others. Lovely. Talon stopped imagining it, however, as he lunged, finding Edward with a single nod before they teamed up again. Dusk was in the shadows, more cautious now but working efficiently still. No words were given, but they worked fast.

“If one more of you idiots get trapped by these damn things, I think that I’m going to f*cking flip.” Harley grumbled as he had Kalore back against him, making sure that he was able to get the other calmed down. “How the hell did you not see it?” Kalore snapped back at him, “Did you?” He had no comment on that but both watched as the creatures were bringing the Soul Stealer down into the ground, fighting it and dragging it to the underworld where they had been just moments before. Kalore shivered and the two stepped away. Gaining his arrows again, he tried to block out the memory of being caught off guard by the creature. He had been surrounded by other… things… so the lumbering beast hadn’t been in his sight before he felt the pain in his shoulder where he had been attacked. Turning around to strike, the blonde had been trapped. Harley apparently had been closer than he had thought as well, otherwise….
