"She must've gotten worried I was already gone then. No harm done." Anekio shrugged her shoulders. "I just hope I didn't leave her hanging on anything too important." She sighed. That little b*****d's already draggingmy name through the dirt! She hissed inwardly about Yuhi, wondering where he could be.

I need to talk to Yuhi-san or your dad! It's really importent. "I hate the mist! I knew that b***h couldn't be trusted! She was only here to spy on us! They never cared about making the peace treaty!" she could feel tears running down her face and knew that her words were jumbled together.

At the sight of tears, Kei immediatly pulled Mai-lin into his arms and hugged her, running his hand over her hair to try and calm her. "Where did you here this information? From Ran herself?"
Yuhi was hurrying around the house, knowing he was a few minuets late already and that Anekio would probably kill him for it. s**t, s**t, s**t! he thought as he grabbed his stuff and went out his own door, not ever noticing his brother and Mai-lin. He ran as fast as he could to the gate and was happy that the girls were still there...until he saw the look on Anekios face. "Sorry I'm late, but I'm ready so let's go!"
Tori stayed silent when Yuhi arrived, wondering how her friend was going to react.

Mai-lin nodded. "Ran and some guy... I think his name was....I don't know. Ran was really quite..." She wipped her eyes as she pulled back from Kei. They've already killed the gennin we sent to them and they gonna to take Tori-san away cause she's from the mist too and... they killed Li like that."

"Dammit." Kei muttered as he pulled Mai-lin into the house. "Why don't you have a seat on the couch and I'll go get Yuhi and my father for you?" before waiting for her answer, he left to get his brother first. He knocked on the door, then went in when no one answered. "s**t, he's gone already!" he cursed again and went back out. "Yuhi already left for his mission. He must have went out his own door." he said as he walked by the living room towards his fathers room.
In a few minuets he was back in the living room with his father. "We have not heard any reports of our shinobi in the Mist being killed, but I'll go myself to check. We have a outpost near their village and a few men there who were suposed to be watching. If something happened to them too, then it would explain why we haven't heard anything." Konohamaru said as he began to pace a bit. "Mai-lin, thank you for telling us this. I will go to the Hokage and tell him the news. I don't want you to think anymore on this, alright?"

Mai-lin forced herself to nod to Konohamaru and waited until he left before unclenching her fists. "Why are we so stupid and naive?!" She yelled. "Why can we always fall for the same damn peace thing?! We're the only damn village that wants peace! Everyone else wants to keep fighting and since we show our weekness! We don't want to fight even though we are a ninja village!"

Kei just shrugged. "I don't understand it either, but there's nothing we can do about it. The Hokage is the one who decides things and wants to make life peaceful for everyone. While peace would be nice, I don't know what else I would do with my life is we didn't need shinobi anymore." he sighed then looked at Mai-lin with a smile. "Seems we're both up, how about we go train now and loose some of this angry energy? Unless you have something else you need to do?"

Ran woke up from a disconcerning dream, biting her lip slightly. Sitting up, she noticed Mai-Lin wasn't there, but Himi was. Letting out a shaky sigh, she stretched back out onto the bed. "Mai-lin was right..." The Kaguya mumbled, reaching up and wiping away a few forming tears. Thinking about the talk with Takeshi caused a knot to form in her stomach.
She'd already grown attatched.
"Ninja's need no feelings.... right..." Ran muttered to herself, rolling out of bed and disappearing into the kitchen. "I'm tired of being some stupid pawn..." Rubbing her eyes, and wiping off the dampness of a few tears off her cheeks, she settled on making a cup of tea. The knot of guilt probably wouldn'tve let her eat anything, anyways. Then, an idea hit her.
"Maybe... if I go back before he comes to get me... I won't have to do anything to hurt anyone..." Ran mumbled aloud.

Mai-lin shook her head. "I can't go back...not alone. And I do need to vent now. Damnit...why do we always fall for this kind of s**t..." She stood up and smiled slightly at Kei. "Thanks. I didn't mean to burst out ranting on you...Just kinda happened."

He shrugged. "Whatever, doesn't bother me any. Why don't we go back to your place and talk with Ran? Maybe things aren't exactly how you think they are." Kei thought for a moment, realizing that it would now be hard to get the two girls to get along. "Have you thought that maybe she's being forced into this? She doesn't seem like the type that would betray people for no reason."
Takeshi sat on the neighbors roof, watching the Sarutobi's house, waiting for the two inside to come out. The only reason he was still here was for amusement purposes. Maybe I should scare the hell out of those two to make them keep their mouths shut? Or just kill them and get them out of the way. he thought with a smile.

Mai-lin frowned and stood up. "No. She a mist nin and as soon as she finds out we know she'll deny it and make it like she didn't want to. You can't trust Mist. I've said that before and now I know it's true." She walked to the door. "I'm going to get Himi. I won't let Ran do anything to her." She walked outside. "It's up to you to come or not."

Kei followed behind her, cursing silently. Why did Sensei and the others have to go on a mission now!? This is going to be a pain in the a** for me... As he followed, he tried to think of ways to get Mai-lin to stay and talk with Ran without fighting. I guess I could lock them in or something...though that might not be good for me. With a sigh, he continued to follow behind silently.

Mai-lin walked around the building that she shared with Ran and whistled when she under their balcony. Himi wagged her tail but didn't move from her spot next to Ran. When the Inuzuka whistled again Himi walked out and barked before walking back inside.
"No! DAMNIT! HIMI INUZUKA GET YOUR TINY LITTLE PUPPY a** DOWN HERE NOW!" the girl yelled and just heard another bark. "Damn her.." The girl growled before starting towards the front.

Ran flinched when she heard Mai-lin's voice from outside. She was yelling at Himi... which meant she was probably really pissed off about something. Could she have... overheard? The Kaguya paled slightly. If Mai-Lin knew... and told someone... Not only would she untrusted, but it would be harder for her to leave on her own. She'd be watched like a hawk. And, also... Takeshi might do something about it.
Giving a distressed sigh, Ran slid down and sat on the floor in the kitchen, staring downwards as she sipped idly at her cup of tea. When Mai-Lin came in, she didn't even look up. She couldn't... If only she'd been given more time then 3 days, she could've figured out a way to get away from the mission, so nobody got upset or hurt.

Kei stood in the doorway, planning on saying nothing and just watching the two girls. If they start fighting, I'll have to break them up... He looked from Mai-lin who stood in front of him, to the kitchen where Ran sat with Himi beside her. I wonder if Mai-lin will notice that her dog still seems to trust Ran?
