River Angel Odin Oh, oh! *waves* I'm a flutist! I've been one for about...four years now. I'm all proud, though, because I was so close to making all-state this year. And for those of you who don't live in Rhode Island and don't know what All-state is, it's basically a gathering of the best musicians in the state. ^^ Well, I auditioned and found out that I was one spot away. Of course, the competition on flute is really, really tight and they don't accept many. I made it on violin, though! ^_^ we've been through that in louisiana.... our band has the first chair trumpet ^_^ 3nodding but he is kinda unrespectful sometimes... thank gosh he's a senior... i made the district... i didn't make state... but it was fun being in the band even though the music was too easy...

RaeCG im getting a new flute next week!! yay!!! gemeinhardt open-hole (french style) solid silver. gold lip plate, b foot, silver plated keys, white gold springs... ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ im so happy!!! im going to be 1st flute next year too!! yay!! (seniors all the way!!!) i do wish i had a piccolo though... xd
1) How much is THAT costing you!
2) Where can I get one?!

2) Where can I get one?!it cost around $2000 and i got mine from a company that sells them... if you go the http://www.gemeinhardt.com you can look at all the flutes... of course there are better flutes out there, but i prefer gemeinhardt cause they are one of the intermediate best!! ^_^ u have to be sure that u are going to be playing into college with ur intrument if u are wanting a flute like this... its important to stick to ur instument... and its a good idea to take lessons... ive been taking them for a year, and ive improved so much...

blondie_n_lovin_it does ne 1 eva heard of solo and ensemble? well, i'm gonna play in tht this yr. i hope i get a superior! it's lik i think may 7th at newberry high skool, SC. had an ensemble with a clarinet player...and me made a 1. i was soooo nervous!!!but we were awsome and the judge was creepishly nice....lol,then i has sour skittles to calm my nerves before thr results came out.lol domokun yummy

I play flute! I have a Germeinhardt [sp?] flute, thats open hole...and supposidly its made out of silver. When I used to be in band I was usually first, or second chair. But the thing is...I hate playing. biggrin
gonk Yeah, my flutes pretty new...and I didn't even take out those plastic things stuck in the holes yet...so technically its not open hole. I feel lazy to just take them out. *sweatdrop* And I've been playing for umm... around 5 years. :3

I play flute/mellophone/piano... It's all great fun. I got a new flute in Nov. it's a Jupiter 711 (solid silver, open-holed). I tried out for upper band, but I don't think I made it...

I almost died because I haven't had a flute lesson in like 3 weeks! Also, I'll take the flute if you don't want it..XD
