Zendia agreed with Orrin. "It seems too easy. Only three TIEs, two of which are already down, and I can't say much of the 'fight' they put up," She then pondered the situation. "I feel like they're bait for something,"

"Whatever, our biggest priority is to protect this convoy," Kefka said as he hit the last TIE.
"Who wants to go see if that was the last of them? Icharus? Okay, cool."

"Yea... Either its a trap or," Orrin said, picking up multiple signatures on his sensors, "Or someone forgot to jam the scouting party's communications. Multiple bogeys coming in. So far it looks like another trio, but if I remember Imperial tactics well enough, it should be a full squadron."

"You can't jam it if you don't have a scrambler..." Kefka said as he pulled a portside immelman and got ready.

"Then, all the more reason to be ready for anything, old-timer," Zendia added. "Azure, on my three, Orrin, on my nine. Let's try to flank this newest batch of unwanted guests. This trio may very well be hiding their buddies,"

Gendis squinted at the long range LADAR he had displayed on his targeting screen. "What the hell? I've heard about ships like these, but never seen them."
With a sudden burst of intuition, he veered up, releasing his countermeasures. In that instant a proton torpedo colided with the garbage particles, resulting in an explosion he could feel the heat of, though he was otherwise unscathed. "Woah, watch yourselves, guys. I think these things are called 'tie bombers.'"
((yes, they were around at the battle of yavin, and would be used in scout parties where resistance was expected, usually defended by more common ties))

"Did you say bombers? This is not good." Azure said over the coms as she followed Zendia's orders.

"s**t. Those things will make a mess of our cruisers' shields. First priorities on the bombers." Kefka said as he recalibrated his shields.

"This is not at all promising," Gendis muttered, arming his torpedoes and trying to get a lock on one of the bombers. "I suggest we try to engage them at close range when they get near enough."

"Affirmative," Kefka said as he accelerated toward a bomber. For a brief instance, he could see the pilot of the TIE but a second later all he could see was laser fire.
"Great."

Zendia also primed her engines, the X-wing practically pouncing on the bomber. "Not good at all," she agreed with Azure. "We saw these guys on Tatooine, as well." Rusty gave a small bleep. "At least there are no chicken walkers in space. Got a lock?" she queried. Sure enough, Rusty beeped an affirmative. No sooner than that, she squeezed the trigger, the four crimson rays focusing in the mid-section of the bomber, blasting it cleanly in two, with each half hurtling off into the cosmos.

"Great shot." Azure commented as she began to focus on one of the bombers that was headed for the cruisers. "Saph, do you have a lock? We can't let them get the cruisers." she said to her driod. A few seconds later Saph beeped. Azure pushed the triger and several red lasers shot at the Tie blowing it up.

"Thanks," Zendia replied to Azure, scanning about for more TIEs. "Boss, anymore on the horizon?" she asked Kefka.

"This is really unusal," Gendis commented. "There should be more forces in the area..."

"I agree," Zendia commented. "They're up to something,"
(( FP, Nelo ... what exactly did you guys have in mind before we get to Hoth? ))
