"I'm not so sure, Alana," Olivia said, "This fight isn't really our concern. Besides. We just got here. They really don't expect us to get our hands dirty this soon...do they?"

Olivia made sure that the two did what they could to avoid the battles on the front lawn as they made it to the garage without a scratch. Olivia used her abilities to quickly float the two of them and their luggage to where they needed to be.

"I...I'm going inside," Alana said.

"Lana...wait!" Olivia quickly rushed after her twin. Alana had gained at least a few steps on her sister before Olivia ran slightly, so she could catch up easier. "Lana...be careful. You never know what might be..." As she said that, there was a rumbling through the Institute, and a loud splashing noise, like rushing water.

"What...what was that?!," Olivia exclaimed as she used her abilities to levitate the two of them above the tremors through the house. There was a scream from down the hall, which startled the normally confident Olivia.

"I'm assuming that you're wanting to head that way, as well?" Liv sounded snippy as she said that, knowing that she was going to have to follow her sister if she went that way.

Her eyes closed tightly and kept repeating in her mind that his was all an illusion but panic took in and like any normal person so did fear. When she opened her eyes Kidd was gone and only darkness met those fear filled pink occulars of hers. Zion snapped at that moment and allowed herself to be pulled in, more like she went and basically dove in. She could see Carlos perfectly. This whole thing to her seemed more like a scene out of a Nightmare on Elm Street movie then it hit her. This may be real but it was still illusions just like in those movies and that thought made the fear and panic in her subside and within moments die. Now she was just pissed. Instead of her skin just growing hot her whole body burst into flame, which had only happened once years before when she lost control the first time. "Let me out of this place or you won't be around long enough to be tucked into bed tonight." She hissed and shot a fairly large sized ball of flame at him.

((and again it's three something in the morning and if i godmodded i'm sorry just tell me and i'll change it..i'm never sure on these things sometimes >.< ))

"Um, shouldn't we, like, be doing something to stop all this or whatever?"

Shadowcats's worried voice floated through the air she phased quietly out from the wall Victoria had been leaning on. The cheery brightness in Kitty's blue eyes had faded and was instead filled with anxity. Though it was obvious she had been smart enough to phase to another location while Toad did his random act of destrcution, the younger teen looked as if she had seen better days. Apparently, not even the queen of all things perky was up for a full scale war this early in the morning. She leaned solidly against in the wall to catch her breath, but that moment didn't last long.

Zion, the flaming b***h Victoria had dealt with just moment earlier, had finally snapped. Now completely aflame, and angry to boot, she sent a large ball of pure fire in Carlos' direction. Weather or not he dodged it, neither X-girl would know right away, as another life threatening event made it's self known.

Someone had turned the cannons back on.

Before they knew it, a round of laser cannons broke loose toward the X-mansion. Having turned and ducked away instinctively, Victoria looked up after the initial discharge of the lasers to see that the front wall was now gone for the most part, leaving a million dollar view of the front yard. Through the dust and debris drawn up from the crumbling wall, both Kitty and Victoria could see that there was more duking mutants out there. Mori was face to face with a large collection of water conjured by a blond Brotherhood member, Aaron was...what...flirting with a younger looking teen of the opposition, and a few others lingered about the area. Not to mention....the cannons were likely to go off again at any moment.

Victoria and Kitty both turned to look at each other at the same time. For once their expression was similar. They both looked at each other as if trying to read the mind of the other, desperately hoping the other had a plan of action in mind...

Carlos eyes widened as something hit his shoulder and another flew past his face to see Kidd throw Ice. What the hell? was she confused or something or did she not know who was who? He would have to let it slide as he needed to quickly close the exit to trap Victoria His taget he had now aquired an trapped. as she flared up and threw a firebal at him he floated to the side then back laughing trying to ignore the images he himself was getting. " you may be calm now but they never go away. They get worse and worse and worse until you FEEL them. the nightmares. An I won't listen to you. you can't light your way out of this one... what a waste to be with what will eventually be the losing crowd. "

He was being a smartass much like him when he was awake and he backed away rapidly leaving her the only clue of his bright glowing eyes which faded from view as he back away. The darkness this void. It was thick filled with the darkmatter. It would deafen sound and she would soon have to notice that her flames no matter how strong would soon fade from her own sight as the darkness blinded her like the thickest fog. when that happened she would see images in her head she would be in them. he wasn't going to be cruel he would take her out eventually if he could touch her anyway. Right now he had to cross his arms and though he watched for fireballs he was trying to will what darkmatter that he could sense around his body to avoid his nightmares. He figured five minutes here would cool her off. Five more minutes was all he could take himself. He had the advantage here he knew how to move and control most of the things in this direction. His only indication of her was her voice and what he knew of psycho therapy from his mother to alert him that she snapped and Needed out.

(yes I realize what a cheap power....Then again I took hits good thing they aint big enough to pass him out in there.)

Though for a moment she blazed bright for some reason her vision was going black. She was still on fire but she couldn't see it. He had disappeared from her view. Her mind was snapping like twigs in the forest being stepped on by some clumsy hunter. She knew her fire powers were useless in this world. She was like a fish on dry land, totally out of her element.

He grows weak...just hold out longer girl and he shall be yours

"Who said that?! WHO'S THERE!?" She was confused, scared and had no clue where the voice had come from either. "Just...let...me out.." She said in a small voice as she collapsed to the ground, her head in her hands.

Images came into her head of when she was a child. She was back in Ireland at her home in bed. Flames appeared in her bedroom and she tossed and turned in her bed. Then it went to her father engulfed in flames..she let out a scream and the images disappeared and she was left in the blackness. The flames on her body exstinguished and she lay on the ground shivering. "Just let me out...please.."
((yeah i think she's gonna need therapy after this))

Carlos Laid back almost just floating there as he closed his eyes. He really wouldn't need them until she was ready. He himself needed to supress nightmares. unlike other people that are new to this place reaccuring ones stopped grabbing hold of him. He's about the only guy to his knowledge that can sit through a monster movie marathon unfazed by gore and violence. He then shrugged to himself as he heard her resign to defeat as she gave into her own nightmares. With much of his focus now regathered to help He this time flew as he opened his eyes right to her and picked her up cradling her in his arms. His eyes where by now the greatest light there as he searched for an exit. He found the one person in the manor that needed to be found the most and he popped out behind the old cripples shadow. The darkness faded from his body and all portals closed as he kneeled and layed her flat. His hand went to his foregead as he looked up at Professor Xavier. " I'm not sure if I had her for the right amount of time she was in my realm for maybe too long." He had exhausted his ability and power to block his own images his power lighting the candle at two ends. He stood up but wobbled as he was going to try and go back outside but fell over. He didn't even hear the Professor whatever he might be saying. Carlos now on the ground faced the images in his head and closed his eyes as he tried to fight them and regain energy at the same time.

Lizz spotted Dairus sneeking up on Valerie and snickered. "Amature." She wispered to herself and slowly krept up on him. She watched him signal to another girl who wouldn't see her anyways because she was blended into the backround so nicely. She approached him as he paused behind Val and surged forwards as he reached out for her. She reared and sent a kick at his left side just above the waist.
