The blindfold is part of her act! She is swindler who pretends to have the ability to communicate with the dead, thanks to her seer eyes. Binding her eyes allows her to focus better during a seance "supposedly".
She isn't called the Black Widow for nothing, and that blindfold isn't just for looks--it's to hide the multiple eyes, which always clue men in on her true character. Everything else she can hide or excuse away, but multiple eyes--those always make people suspicious.
