This time, he had finally gotten it just right, and smiled with satisfaction as the glider took off.

The world suddenly drops off into oblivion. Thean then sees floating islands hovering above her. What are they? Why are they? Something glows off in the distance and Thean decides to glide towards it. However the wind is choppy.
Though he was ecstatic he made the glider fly, he couldn't help but doubt himself. Had he wound it up enough? Would it stay airborne long enough? Would he fall?
His grip on the glider tightened slightly.

It wasn't long before Etyam returned to the cliffs. He enjoyed flying, maybe a little too much for his own good.
As far as he knew he'd wound the machine properly, but it made an awful noise when he got in and he really had no idea what to do about that.
