Gripping his white bladed katana firmly, Grants would take a position at Lucas' right side to face Aaron. It was clear that Aaron had tried to act discreetly but now it seemed that the facade was over. Although it was troubling, Grants was wiling to trust Lucas and fight by his side for now. The tension in the air was thickening by the minute and it nearly felt that Grants would suffocate from the tense atmosphere. As a Seraph, Aaron was naturally powerful. Undoubtedly, Aaron was not one to take lightly.
"I'd rather not fight Aaron but I see this is unavoidable."

Broadening his stance, Grant's left foot would slide back as he became perpendicular to Aaron's position. The light from Lucas' glow would catch on Grants' white blade, masking the deadly sharp edge with a beautiful radiance. Ready and on guard, Grants would wait to attack as his own spiritual energy started to become potent.

[The Treacherous Seraph, Aaron]

"I'll end this here."

Aaron would beat his wings as they started to glow intensely while glowing plumes fell from his body. A strong gust of wind would sweep over the lake along with a significant spike in temperature. A distinguishable heat would begin to spread through the cavern as Aaron's eyes started glowing. Aaron would raise his right hand and display one of his abilities.

A magnificent flame would ignite over Aaron's hand and paint his figure with a fiery aura. The flame would burn passionately as a small radius of water below Aaron started to boil and steam. Without hesitation, Aaron would aim his hand towards the group and unleash his attack. A large stream of fire would manifest and race towards everyone as a wall of flames. The heat would barrel off of the flames as the fire roared with destruction. The lake below would reflect the light that shone fiercely from the flames and turn everything red and orange.

If anyone was caught within the fire they would be charred and blackened in an instant. If the Heaven's party couldn't avoid the flames they'd be trapped against the stone wall, pushed back by the attack as it swept forward. The attack was simple but it would soon be apparent that the flames would incinerate anyone in its path.

Raven was there, flanking Cynthia's left. She had been so distracted by Wyndom and Avery that the Neohuman had been able to slip up behind her, moving swiftly. The ground at her feet began to crack. Together with Wyndom and Avery, Raven had to be absolutely certain that Cynthia was not going to escape this time. Power was surging, the woman slowly, steadily, letting go of the years of intense practice in reigning in her Psychokinesis. A terrible weight, as if the World decided to become lazy, dropped onto Cynthia, bearing down on her with no remorse. The woman was strong, yet Raven was designed to succeed. She poured as much of her concentration onto Cynthia was possible.

The ground was rocky, shifting, and breaking under the inhuman amount of pressure Cynthia would feel. Raven was using the full brunt of Psychokinesis to put the woman exactly where she wanted. Her concentration had split, a majority of it still placed upon Cynthia, Willing the golden Ring to hover, wavering in the air, floating from the palm to Cynthia's fingers. Ring to finger. That was the command. That was the Will of the vanguard. Blood seeped from both nostrils, and terrible pain wrecked her mind, yet Raven returned her concentration, full force. The ring was so difficult to wield! She had never in her entire life put forth this much Psychokinetic concentration into two different objects. She was familiar with shifting concentration, yet she was literally dividing her attention, simultaneously, into the impossible feat of holding the immortally strong Cynthia, while forcing the ring onto her finger.

The perfect bend was so near the tip, and Raven could feel her limit being reached. She had to push, one last thought. One last reason this had to end. Aaron was here, Sabriel was in danger, they were all in danger. If she could just push, a little further. Ignore the memory of her children, their dead faces staring at her in horror. The same illusion that her Psychokinesis always triggered. It was the most painstaking moment of Raven's entire existence. Once more, one more go. See beyond your limit.

Raven's vision was blurring with red, and blood was back-tracking into her tear ducts. Her brain could not take any more. Still the Vanguard clenched her teeth, and with one forceful, stalwart push, the ring graced Cynthia's finger, a perfect fit.

Silence seemed to echo for Raven, and the world was entirely sluggish. The Psychokinetic connection had broken, but it had cost her too much. Raven tried to breathe, and the motion took too long--everything took too long, as if suspended in time. Had she gone limp? Raven suddenly felt dust and dirt as she fell to the ground, more pain--yet no pain in existence could account for the inhuman pain that wrecked her. Raven was almost certain she was dead, and if she was not, she was certainly close to it. Too close, too comfortable. The aneurism had caused severe hemorrhaging.

upon his arrival, Inferno landed on both of his feet with dust and dirt being blown away from his location as the portal closed. Inferno stood there now face to face with an old enemy, an old comrade, but more importantly....An old friend. He stood, the ripped black cloak waving around him, his head fully exposed. The cloak no longer covered his forearms and from the look of it, the cloak had seen an heavy battle. Lucas had brought Inferno back from exile which interrupted his eternal fight with his arch nemesis Raphael. Takehitsu would easily see Inferno was in no condition to join him in any battle.

The Hellfire demon had used up most of his power to escape the prison he was put in, and in doing so had even gone as far as to damage himself. His arms, mainly his hands seemed horribly disfigured. It was as if his own fire had affected his hands, the bone layer was showing and something was eating at it. Black steel like rods were extending out of Inferno's palms, surround with some heavy shards of what looked to be darksteel. What could have done such damage to the Prize Fighter. More notable change Takehitsu would see is Inferno was alone and weaponless. Carnage, The Legendary Trident of Chaos was gone. Inferno had been trapped for over a thousand years and the results of it stood before Takehitsu.

"Takehitsu.." he said, finally taking in what had happened. "Where in the Hell am I?" Looking around, it was obvious he was no longer with Lucas and the Vanguards. Upon hearing Takehitsu explanation and that he had not found a way to return home Inferno's eyes seem to burn alive again. "Why have you brought me here?!" he said angrily, realizing Lucas and the rest were lest in a bad situation. Inferno knew Lucas could handle himself no problem. Maybe the angel knew what he was doing, he always did. Between Inferno and Lucas, they had always had different ways go doing things. But they always carried a respect for one another, Inferno just had a hard time showing it.

Regardless, Inferno was now stuck on what would seem a new plane, Takehitsu's Fortress. His question was answer when Takehitsu mentioned a renegade machine of Takehitsu's own creation. Inferno had finally calmed down knowing he was going to have to help Takehitsu first before returning back to help lucas. It was a bit odd trying to imagine one of Takehitsu's creations going rogue and rebelling. He was a warrior of many resources and inventions. In their last confrontation, Inferno remember all sorts of gadgets being used for all kinds of situations. This made Takehitsu not just a hard opponent to overcome but a nearly impossible task keeping an advantage in a fight with him. Finally reaching the Command Center, the two of them would have to ready themselves. Now that Inferno was brought back to speed on what was going on, he understood what needed to be done. "I will help you but you are going to need to do me a favor first." he said lifting his arms up to reveal his hands.

"I know you are capable of making something to survive my intense temperatures, but are you able to make something capable of being durable with chaos energy?" Chaos energy? What was Inferno talking about? Isn't that what he has Carnage for? However, yet again it was clear Inferno didn't have his weapon on him. "I could also use an energy boost considering I have used so much of my power lately. I haven't had the time to recover from a fight that has lasted for over a thousand years with Raphael. Damn him if I ever see him again I will blast him into oblivion!"

Phobos, the Ebon Sun
User Image

Being slow to react, quite dazed that such a mere human could preform such maneuvers. Therefore the chunk of block hit him directly in the chest, shoving him backwards and knocking him down to the ground. A small growl erupted from his mouth, some anger was showing. Quickly he did a back flip to get himself right back up and gaining some distance.

Shadows once again began to form around his hand, but this time a lot faster than before. Bringing both hands together he fired off a large salvo of shadow straight at Marcus. Instead of letting it go simply straight at him, when it approached a certain distance, the salvo exploded. Whether it Marcus or not was totally dependent if he could preform such swift movements again. Using the distraction, Phobos formed an orb of shadow with one hand as his other hand began to swirl with energy once more.

Shockingcat

"Slippery little-"

Phobos' recovered and countered rather quickly which caught Marcus off-guard. Although his first few maneuvers were swift it was clear that Phobos had more agility. The sudden explosion from the attack would knock Marcus away from Phobos as he grunted and rolled onto his back from the blast. A small plume of smoke would rise from Marcus' chest as he groaned.

Marcus was a bit more than human but he was nothing so magnificent as a demon or angel. He was a Homonculus and one of many but he would share the stubbornness of any man. So standing back up, Marcus would dash to his left and kneel beside a stack of wooden pallets before lifting them to toss them at Phobos.

The attack was sloppy but getting hit by nine falling pallets was not pleasant by any means. Surely, Phobos would have to find a way to dodge or block the attack as Marcus waited for an opening.

Quickly launching his orb towards the debris and then fired off another salvo of shadow, where it immediately sought out the orb with such uncanny speed, causing another explosion, but this time instead of creating any more damage, it began dragging whatever was caught in radius towards the epicenter, this included Phobos. But it would appear, that this boy was a lot crazier than he seemed. Using the drag as momentum, he kicked himself of the ground and flung himself straight at Marcus as if fired off from a sling shot. Unsheathing his remaining sabre, he was ready to get into direct contact with his foe, even if it meant sustaining some damage himself, as blood slowly slipped out of his mouth from the impact to his chest earlier, but all the adrenaline pumping around it would not matter to him at this moment, all he cared was to slaughter his foe straight in front of him. But he wasn't so crazy to simply charge at him without causing another form of distraction, creating more shadow nails, he threw them in front of him so they they would have to be the initial reaction and not him.

โ˜ฆCynthia Navetseโ˜ฆ

โ€ Where there is charity and wisdom, there is neither fear nor ignorance.โ€

[Location: Underground lair]

โ˜ฉ Eyes opened slowly as she felt the weight of the world pressing down upon her. In reality it was Raven, but there was little she could do about her while trapped. Luckily for her Raven seemed to have lost focus and so she inadvertently cancelled out Wyndom's trap! Her psychokinetics negated his electric field and freed Cynthia from all but the hairs, most of which were probably fried by Wyndom, their teamwork - laughable. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ Unfortunately it did get the job done, though, and the ring was slipped onto Cynthia's finger...the very ring that gave her the corrupted mind...the ring laced with corrupted energies itself...the ring that started it all...the thought that a corrupted object could cure a corrupted person - impossible. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ "Fool." โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ Cynthia spat her words out at Raven as ultimately the ring had no effect whatsoever. Raven was already at her limit, and so with a solid punch to her jaw, Cynthia sent the Revenant Guard crumpling to the side - pitiful. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ She closed in on Raven to finish her off when her foot brushed against something the woman had dropped.
Her Cross. The beloved Virtue. HER Virture. The one she had been entrusted with her entire life, her precious, wonderful, magnificent Cross - unbelievable. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ A flicker of recognition flashed in Cynthia's blackened eyes as reality called out to her. All she ever needed in life was her Cross, it had been the thing she was trying to get too ever since she cast it away. She longed for it before she slipped into the tainted world of fear and Corruption, she had tried to get to it to save herself, but her thoughts were muddled and she had gotten lost, so lost... โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ Suddenly she became fully aware of her surroundings. She saw Raven laying there in front of her - had she been protecting Cynthia, or had Cynthia been the one to hurt her? She didn't know, it felt like she had just woken up from a nightmare that she couldn't remember. She turned around confused only to see Aaron and Lucas speaking to one another. She couldn't understand what they were saying, but Sizouze had prepared her for this...he had always wondered where Aaron's true allegiances lay. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ
"Heaven's Mercies wash over us!" โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ As Aaron fired off his attack, a massive flare of energy engulfed the chamber, momentarily outshining everyone else's. Flames raced forward only to be met with some form of orange shielding that defied them passage. They splashed away from the barrier, protecting everyone in the room. Cynthia's aura overpowered even Aaron's for that brief moment, but those who burn the brightest only last for the shortest amount of time. The shield faded. โ˜ฉ

โ˜ฉ And Cynthia collapsed. โ˜ฉ

"Ackk!"

Feathers sliced all around Wyndom, the only thing saving him was his special armor, the electricity running between the chain-links acting as a barrier to piercing objects. His face and hands weren't so lucky, though. He needed to keep his concentration on the barrier holding Cynthia, and he was left with no room to dodge. They tore at his skin, each cut like that of a jagged sword lacerating and tugging him apart. His arm was thrown in front of his eyes to protect them and some of his face, but a lot of damage was already done. His gloves absorbed non of the damage as they were just simple leather gloves to add him in gripping his weapons. He turned his back to the onslaught when he could, but crimson dots rained down to the cavern floor.

His right eye went dark.

โ„XXXSabriel MegalithXXXโ„

Sabriel knew that her soap bubble wouldn't protect her from becoming flame grilled fairy due to Aaron's attack, so when Cynthia's energy washed over her and deflected the blaze away from her and Lucas' party she was able to breathe a sigh of relief.
She didn't trust the person her parents had appointed as their backup plan in the event that something happened to her again and she wasn't able to rise to the throne of Rรฉmsi Sรญ so she was far from ready to die just yet.

Quickly assessing the battle in front of her, she assessed who needed what kind of help. None of her potential patients she knew by name except for Lucas who simply needed an energy potion. Out of the two males who seemed to need the most help, the one with the crimson eyes appeared he'd only need something to heal his cuts, the second who looked - in her opinion - like one of Krimson's experiments, only had a busted knee. On the other hand, the black haired woman looked like she was the one who needed the most attention.

One hand traveling to the pouches around her waist, Sabriel selected a small vial about the length and width of the average human thumb, stoppered with a small cork. The cork had a raised symbol classifying it as an energy potion on the top that enabled the healer to pick the vial out without needing to see it.
"Lucas. Catch!"
Tossing the vial at Lucas she hoped that he would be able to catch it. The electric blue liquid inside was one of her harder to make potions so she didn't want it to go to waste by smashing on to the rocky ground at their feet.
The potion was designed to restore energy, nothing more, but from what she could tell, that was all Lucas needed; a pick-me-up.

Not waiting to see if Lucas caught the potion, she started scrambling across the rocks to reach the black hair woman. One hand was outstretched to steady herself while the second reached into another pouch. This time she selected yet another small bottle containing a vicious looking green liquid that she aimed at the man with the crimson eyes. This time, the symbol on the cork classified the potion as a healing one.
Unable to think of a polite way to get his attention she called out whatever came to mind first.
"Oi, Scarlett! Incoming healing potion"

Just as the healing potion soared into the air she tripped on a stone going down with a hiss cutting open the palm of her hand on a sharp rock.
Even though she had the means of healing the cut with something from her utility belt, right now, she figured it would be a waste of resources.
Instead, she left the cut to bleed as she got up and carefully, but hurriedly made her way to Raven.

Dropping into a cross legged position at Raven's head Sabriel settled herself as best as she could.
Mid-battle healings were never easy because of how fast she had to work and the danger around her.
Puling the other woman's head into her lap carefully, the fairy placed her fingertips on her temples and let her magic flow into her body.
Her first order of business was to force Raven's vital organs to keep operating.
"I'm sorry. I know you're hurting and this is only making it worse, but I need you to keep fighting. Yes you've done so much already to help Lucas and your body is shutting down, but you want to keep going right?"
She knew that her magic wasn't going to take all of the pain away, but it was going to ease the other woman's suffering somewhat so her body could focus on assisting the magic trying to help instead of resisting it.

For the first time since he entered Heaven's Realm, doubt and fear washed over Wyndom. He was always a calm thinker, one to asses the situation and tackle an obstacle he had faced. But for now, for this moment he knew what had happened, and he knew there was nothing in his power to fix it. One of the feathers had pierced into his right eye, severing his lens, cornea, and other parts of his eyeball. All he saw was utter darkness from it. The physical pain was washed out by the mental thought of it all...he no longer cared for the things going on around him, his mind was wrapped around the thought of being blind, even partially so.

"Oi"

Sabriel's words made him clumsily look up, blood dripping down his face and hands as he tried to make out what was going on. His body was confused from what all had just happened, and it took him a moment to process that what she threw at him would help! A healing potion...probably not for his eye, but he had hope now at least. He knew injuries like this were best treated immediately else it would definitely be permanent. It might already be to late, but Sabriel had given him a chance.

He groped for the bottle, but it seemed to go in and out of focus, and the depth didn't seem quite right, it almost felt like he was looking at a flat world, but then it would change back to normal. He closed his fingers around the potion, but it turned out to be thin air and the real thing hit his chest and bounced off, shattering on the ground. He quickly stooped down to retrieve the remnants of the broken glass, hoping some of the liquid remained. All he managed was to cut himself again as his fingers hit the fragments, missing the main part of the vial altogether. Blood from his forehead was running over his left eye anyway, so it was hard enough to see. Instinctively he swiped at it with his hand, but that just added more. He felt like a child, unable to do anything right. What was wrong with him.

Get yourself together, Wyndom!

With a sigh, Wyndom sat down. He closed his eyes...or at least he thought he did, but his right eye wouldn't shut - the feather was still sticking out of it. He couldn't tell...he didn't feel anything, his Ritter blood worked on his face and hands, numbing the areas and slowly healing them - it would take a few days to finish by itself considering how deep the incisions were, but right now Wyndom wasn't concerned about that. He was taking slow, steady breathes, he needed to calm down. He didn't need his eyes, he trained for this, he was ready. He just needed his mind to see, to stretch out, to erase the fear, erase the pain, erase the confusion, erase the darkness that haunted him. He could sense it, the girl was with Raven - good. She needed care more than he did at the moment. He sat there silently, expanding his range. He started slipping electricity out into the ground for his electrical treadmill so he would at least know what was going on. They were about to face Aaron, and he needed to be ready, vision or no vision.

For Light, for Raven, for Kira...

Marcus had never seen such abilities from anyone before! He could feel the pull from the orb as Phobos took to the air in an impressive display of dexterity. So when the shadow nails came at Marcus, the guard would roll forward and erect himself to meet Phobos head on. Hurdling his fists upwards, Marcus would attempt to slam Phobos in the gut with a powerful swing.

The homonculus showed little concern for Phobos' blades or his control over the shadows but Marcus' attacks were becoming reckless. However he'd trade caution for brute force. Just how would that work out?

Exterminator was not like any normal person to be fought. When the recently turned robot crashed into the strange human the material fabric that fell odd of it where extra's the robot hadn't fully been transferred into ghantak as of yet anyway. This was simply due to them not being processed fully and or correctly as of yet. This was fine he was a different being from them. He would advance but his method was different. Instead of fight a battle for enjoyment Exterminator meant to exterminate. Hid body turned into what would appear to be a stream of energy blasting at the man. The part that made it worse was the blade coiled inside of the stream to make it that the stream was alike to a blast of blades that had directional attack.

User Image

If this wasn't enough the minions would lend their assistance. Their arms would rebuild themselves into strange canons. They began firing high pulse blasts of explosive energy. They quickly made a sphere around the enemy so that the pulsing explosive shots would come from all around this foolish solitary human. Exterminator's attack did not end either. The beam circled until his body was a sphere of energy around the fleshling. Even if the creature hardened it's body it couldn't merely become invincible to the legendary sword of Kumleon. It was known to cut through even the most dense of ghantak with ease. After 3 seconds there should have been nothing left of the opponent.

Takehitsu was not prepared for such a request so he looked back at his friend. He let his hood fall down to show it was him genuinely. The only person Takehitsu felt comfortable with pulling his hood down. After all they both had a similar eye attack so they avoided making eye contact and were used to such an effect. "I can do a little more than restore your energy I have collected life energy that your soul has dropped throughout several years of extreme fighting. This will boost your power back to where it was when we fought. I am sorry though I do not know what chaos energy is." He turned and walked to something that wasn't yet destroyed. Stepping over several robotic bodies. He placed his hand on a square then it sank in and a large glass tube slid open revealing a chamber. "When you inside of this I can restore your power." He then took the square that contained Inferno's power that was what Takehitsu used to summon him and slid the square into another slot with his left hand while his right remained inside the wall.

Within a manner of seconds the chamber glowed a deep red color something between blood and lava colored. Takehitsu would do what he could for now. Once the power was fully manifested into the chamber takhitsu put his left hand into the same slot his right hand was within. He took a couple steps back having an extension of liquid ghantak come with it. This was so he could control everything while Inferno would walk into the chamber, the air around was already cackling and flames began combustion then died as nothing around could burn. This left smoke filling the area. A mask came down and Takehitsu bit it so he could keep breathing as the rooms oxygen was burned. His eyes were watery but what could on expect. Takehitsu looked at Inferno as if to say it was ready.

Raven swallowed, shock fully resonating through her. She tried very hard to claw her way through, as if it were a thick haze she were lost her. Her chest was heaving as she fought to breathe, a waves of pain coming and going. She could see Sabriel, feel her. Yet it took every ounce of her will to part her trembling lips. Raven shifted uncomfortably, writhing along the ground, groping blindly as she watched Sabriel from an upside down perspective. She had to focus on the woman, who was barely present in the haze of pain and registered shock. Concentration had always been a part of Raven's life, it was the only way to retain control over her ethereal abilities. Even near death, Raven was doing her best to focus on Sabriel now, her words swimming, sliding, gliding over her. She could hear it, muddled and distant as her heart beat crashed loudly, her entire body seeming to pulsate. Her cheeks were flushed and hot as adrenaline pumped through her system.

"Yes you've done so much...keep going right?"

Raven nodded fervently, staring up at the woman, trying to fully process and grasp the words spoken to her. Her body, Neohuman that she was, was capable of recovering at a much faster rate than a normal human, though what would take months, took weeks. What took days, took hours, and on the minor scale, what took hours, were only minutes. Raven had pushed herself to a new level of limitations, and suffered dearly for it. But her title as Revenant Guardian would always hold true. She knew somewhere in the recess of her mind that she was not quite ready to give in. She had given her life for Kira once, and had Ascended when her virtue of Love had saved her by restoring her. Now Raven had no such card up her sleeve. Was she really so reckless as to think herself expendable at such a crucial time? Certainly not.

Sabriel would feel the strange, sleek coat of Seraph, the White Tiger Daemon lowering herself to her right side. Without a doubt his owner, her Gatekeeper, would soon become aware of the situation, and Raven could only pray that Corvinus did not tear Heaven down trying to find her. Surely he could feel the flutter of life still trying to take off and soar within her. Her own Daemon, Jesta' was nowhere to be found, perhaps because the body, spirit, and soul were so deeply out of sync. The Daemon was there to guard them both.

"Cynthia..." Raven nodded, hurriedly, her voice an expended breathe, as if it took far too much effort just to whisper, "...Cynthia next. I...need," Raven paused, cringing in pain. This was far more difficult than she anticipated, and inwardly, was getting impatient with herself, still fighting to come across as moving at a normal rate, "Try, t-try not..to touch me...hurts my head..." And this was true. Even now, low, hushed whispers plagued her worse than ever. Her mental barrier shattered with such force that it was still hard to drown out all the unguarded thoughts around them. As if a strong wind had picked up dry, dead leaves, scattering them about a sidewalk endlessly, the scratching, raspy noise was unbearable on her unstable consciousness. Her eyes fluttered, threatening to close as the idea of resting--perhaps eternally--was too inviting.

The truth was that she was a tool for Lucas, a means to keep him ahead of the Council's game. A living weapon that would gratefully serve a greater cause. There was more to the world than a remorseful killer with unstable identity issues. Seeing them all here, Heaven and Hell, brought a ghost of a smile to her trembling lips. Did she really want to skip out on this kind of action? Kira would be angry with her. The pale green eyes with their golden flecks locked onto Sabriel, as if resolute on keeping focus. She knew the drill, she was a far cry from green wood: things had to get worse before they got better.
