Mala nodded. "I know. It'll be a learning experience for us, though, and I'll adapt to a regular adventurer's life. So it's worth it."

"That honestly doesn't surprise me in the least." Van said simply before snapping his fingers in minor frustration. "We shoulda grabbed some marshmallows before left! We coulda made smores."

"Oh, come on, Rom! We haven't even stopped for the night!"
Romain broke away from one of the girl's lips to look up at Belin, her eyes wide. "Come on, please?" she asked, pouting.
Lin sighed. "All right. We're going to look for supplies. We'll meet you back here in a half-hour. If you aren't ready, we're leaving."

Mala shook her head slightly, her grin growing all the wider. "Aw, don't worry Van. We'll be sire to get some next time."

"It's starting to get dark. Probably a good idea to find a place to set up camp soon." Van said looking up at the steadily darkening sky.
"B-But what about all the bandits? A-And the dragonlings?!" Riley said worriedly, not wanting to sleep around such danger.
"Aw, don't sweat it kid!" Van said mussing up Riley's hair. "You've got me around! You and your sis are gonna be just fine with me lookin' out for you two!" he said giving him a reassuring smile.

Mikhael chuckled lightly, downing the rest of the mead. "lovely..." he stood, turning to face away from the bar, and leaning back against it. he turned to the swordsman. "so, i suppose that means im tagging along with you?"

"Woods would be best. Less chance of bandits stumbling across us." Van said as he started to leave the road. "I'm not saying they're a problem, they're just a pain to deal with." he said rubbing the back of his neck.

Mala followed along quietly until they were able to find a nice clearing in the forest. "This seems to be as good of a spot as any for our first campsite." she said.

Mikhael leaned forward again, standing straight up. he followed behind the swordsman, palming the small skull as he passed. he didnt really want to know what would happen. he made sure to keep up with Belin, but still walked with a lazy-ish stride. "so... where to...?"

"Finally, I'm tired." Riley said wearily as he plopped down on the ground and rubbed his eyes drowsily.
"So how we going to do this? Someone starts looking for food while the others look for firewood or what, oh brilliant leader?" Van said looking to Mala, having no clue what she wanted to do with her tired brother.
