"Ye knew me when I was human..." He murmured, "I remember when ye was human... at least looked human. Save fer them tails." His fin had flattened itself against his head, forcing an odd part in his thinned white hair.

"Yeah, I did..." She murmured, distinctly remember a 'bearded lady' comment being thrown in her direction. "You referred to me as the Bearded Lady," she stated gruffly, but otherwise didn't sound angry with him.

"It was a joke, lass. I was jes' namin' a freak. I was makin' a circus joke aboo' th'whole place here. Sorry y'misunderstood." As they came to the steps, Billy immediatly pushed himself out, snaking, flopping and worming his tentacles up the steps, using his suckers to help drag himself up. He'd be damned if he needed help.

"It was ill timed," she stated simply, raising her eyebrows when he hurrled himself out of the chair. Regardless, she folded his chair and trailed after him with it in tow.

He was gasping for air halfway up, and three quarters up, his movements had steadily slowed untill he stopped, needing a break. He clung to the steps desperatly, sucking in air in short, deep, weasing breaths. "I was... tweaked a' th'time.... E'eryt'ings funny... when yer tweaked..."

She stopped when he did, but soon managed to step past him and continue up to her duplex. The chair was opened and wheels locked the moment there was flat ground. In the meantime, she went inside for another bottle of water.
It wasn't long before she returned with an opened bottle of water for Billy.

By the time she had returned, he was resituated in his chair, still panting and weasing as he wound his tentacles about the appropriate places for them to rest and stay out of the way of the wheels. "Sorry... I'm so... disgustin'," He huffed, skin blotching with an embarassed red, "I feel disgustin'."

Either way, she handed him the water before moving to wheel him inside, swallowing nervously at his comment. "It's not your fault," she whispered, putting a hand on his once human shoulder before turning to shut and lock the door behind them. No one needed to walk in on them.

He could sence her anxiousness, which made him feel even worse about the situation. "I shouln' ha' come." Right then, he would rather have given up the blow for good for a good bottle of whiskey just then. But not even that. Not even a girly malt beverage. Just bearly second hand smoke. "Damn it." He hissed, head lowered to hang against his chest, a tentacle rising to cover his eyes.

He wasn't the only one who was feeling guilty, and her hand rubbed along her muzzle several times before it reached out to carefully push what was left of his hair out of his face. "I'm trying," she murmured, carefully leaning down to press a kiss to his temple in attempts to sooth him, and to keep her mind off the near future for now. "I do care."
Not that that was an easy task.

His tentacle was shaking as he lifted it to wrap it around her arm, "I jes'... I hate this... I hate it..." his chemical imbalance from his universal cold turkey sent his emotions for a spin, his cepholopodian eyes watering as he tried to keep his cool but failed. He was inable to hold back the sob that shuddered through his system, "I've had all I can take, Antony..."

She managed to not jerk at the cool and slimy touch of the tentacle as it wrapped around her, still not entirely used to the limbs' texture. "Hey," the squirrel woman crooned softly, in a comforting voice.
After evaluating the situation for a bit, she held open her other arm and stepped in front of him. "C'mere lovely," Antony offered kindly, an encouraging expression creeping up to mix with her previous emotions.

He swallowed the sunken feeling in his chest and stomach, shifting in his chair as he extended his other seven limbs to slide around her, be it at her waist, legs, or arms, wherever he could reach.

She wrapped her other arm around him and shifted however she needed to accomadate him and his extra limbs. After he was snug and safe, Antony made her way to the couch, where she again pulled him against her and gently rocked him. "'M not going anywhere," she whispered quietly.

"I can't... I'm done... This is th'end o' me... William Woodrow's dead," He choked out, face pressed against her chest as he gave a miserable shudder.
