[I blinked, ruffling my pelt.]
"My name is Thunderflight!" I said, slightly proud. "My apprentice, Softpaw, should be coming shortly."
[I scratched my ear with my hind leg.]
"And you must be Spadekit, correct? One of Doveflight's litter?"
[At the mention of the warrior's name, my eyes shifted and began to scan the clearing for her. She seemed noble and strong to me. I wished I could perhaps see her again.]

[Spadepaw nodded hesitantly, her pelt growing warm with embarrassment at Doveflight's mention.]
"I'm actually Spadepaw right now. Birdsong is my mentor."
[She fluffed her pelt out a bit to look bigger, a proud smile on her face. the happiness from her face quickly vanished as she saw thunderflight looking around for Doveflight.]
"..Um...Thunderflight...you are not going to see her here...Doveflight is...dead."
[The word stung her throat as she said it, and she flattened her ears to her head, looking off.]

[Eaglesoar meowed coolly, swiping Tigerfang's ears with his paw playfully, as though he was a kit once again.]

[He changed his voice to a whispery, eerie tone, trying his best not to laugh and give away his game.
Hearing a she-cat's voice beside him, he turned around to see a gray tabby Seaclan cat talking to him.]
"Hello, uh..."
What's her name again? How on earth does she know me, I've never even seen her before!
"Prey is plentiful, we have a wide variety to choose from. How is the fish in Seaclan?"
[Personally Eaglesoar could never understand how Seaclan cats could stand the scaly feeling of fish, but then again, other clans did not find lizards much of a delicacy either.]

((on macs, i recommend quicktime. just open up the player and go file-new screen recording. Works like a charm! You just have to speed it up about 1200% in imovie.))

[Spadepaw felt her pelt bristling, and she tried to keep her claws from prying at the ground.]
What a mouse-brain! A mentor and their apprentice is nothing compared to the relationship i had with Doveflight! And surely her mother wasn't killed by a medicine cat...not to mention that medicine cat only speaking when you're around, and acting like a mother! She'll never understand.
"Actually, Nightpaw...you don't know. Not even close...Doveflight was much closer than a simple mentor could be to their apprentice, and she-"
[She stopped herself from revealing the dark truth about Doveflight.]
They don't deserve to know Breezeclan's secrets...Galestar would skin me if i let them know anyways.

[Tigerfang winced slightly at the voice but ignored it. She tried to act like nothing had happened and purred at Eaglesoar's swipe.]
"You're doing a terrible job of keeping your laugh in." she chuckled quietly.
I suppose this is what it's like to be a kit...I didn't miss out on much, I suppose...
[But she knew on the inside that she had indeed missed out on a lot. If it weren't for her littermates dying, maybe she would've come out as a she-cat that was actually likeable.]
[She casually licked her paw and swiped it over the ear that Eaglesoar had hit. Hearing a cat's voice, she pricked her ears and assumed the grave, stoic face that had become her signature.]
"Mosstar isn't here? How so very strange..." she said icily.

[He thought before he picked up the pretty Breezeclan apprentice (Spadepaw)'s angry reply towards Nightpaw. From what he heard, they were discussing about pain...and something about life and mourning.]
Oh great Starclan, can they please not get soppy in a Gathering?
[He sighed inwardly to himself before getting up walking over to Spadepaw and Nightpaw. He placed his tail in front of Nightpaw, giving both apprentices an icy glare.]
"That's enough, you two. The Gathering is not a place to moan over other cats' deaths, save that for when you get back to camp."
[He shot a furious glare at Nightpaw, a silent warning for her to keep her mouth shut before he has to claw her ears off.]
Be glad I'm saving your pelt, mouse-brain! If that Breezeclan apprentice gets angry, Galestar and Fathom would have both your tails!
[He thought angrily before turning back to Spadepaw.]

"Don't get snippy, young one. You have much to learn," Silverstar meowed with a wise tone in her voice.
[She turned and leapt onto the rock, yowling to the Gathering.]
"Let the Gathering commense! StormClan will begin," Silverstar called out. "StormClan is faring well. Hunting is good, and no signs of a struggle have been found. I am proud to announce that we welcome a newly made warrior and apprentice to the Clans. Thunderflight has been welcomed to StormClan as a full warrior and Softpaw is her apprentice. It seems the Slayers have quieted, as far as StormClan can see," Silverstar announced, stepping back and nodding to Galestar. _________________________________________
