Kiro nodded with a murmured "Got it" then starting forward at a run towards the left side of the village, knocking on each and every door he came to, not really certain who lived where and who he had seen at the Centre already. The loud way he knocked was certainly uncharacteristic considering his usual shyness, and would hopefully attract the attention of the occupants, if there were any inside.

As Kiro ran to the left of the village, Ieyasu started towards the right. Leaving his own house for now, he began to work his way around the houses, knocking loudly and hurridly at each door. Screw being polite - this was an emergency.
Once he was done with this, he'd need to head back to his own house to find Ilex. The young cat was probably hiding under the bed upstairs. He hadn't brought Ilex to the centre, as he'd simply gone there with Osu to find something to do. A volcano wasn't something you anticipated normally.

Yakobi groaned as she toppled out of bed, she had been having some sort of dream. She lifted her head up, there was a knocking noise. "Well at lest falling out of bed had some perk to it. Never would have heard the door if I didn't." she spoke herself. Quickly she threw on some clothes and scrambled out towards the front door.
Loud screeching echoed about as the lime green cat raced in circles crying. Something must have happened to startle him, though she hadn't notcied. And it seemed as though Kaigan and Taranis hadn't either. Then again Ilco was the only light sleeper in the house.
Scooping up the cat she raced over to the door, pushing it open with a yawn. Gently she rubbed her eyes, letting out yet another yawn. "Hello?"

Kiro blinked broadly as Yakobi pulled the door open. Why the heck did she look like she'd just rolled out of bed?! See... the cat knew bad things were happening...
"Yakobi," Kiro spoke quickly, perhaps even with a slightly panicked tone. "Get yourself and anything that breathes to the Centre as soon as you can. There's a bunch of us already there." He hesitated before adding, "It's an earthquake." Even after he'd said it, he wasn't sure she'd taken it in at all. "Just hurry!" he said, before leaving her doorstep and continuing quickly on his way.
As he moved on, he felt the ground beneath him rumble with seemingly renewed savageness. And... dear God... Kiro paused again in terror as he watched things fly through the air amongst the smoke that seemed to be coming from across the water. The bits being spat didn't seem to be near Cetalu yet... but give it time...
Dear God...
Quickly, the neko-jin continued knocking on doors...
((No idea which side Kobi lives on... but y'know... ^^;; ))

The girl blinked, Ilco squirming in her arms. Earthquake? She wasn't that much of a heavy sleeper...Was she? "Uhhh...right." she spoke before Kiro had gone off. A sudden rumble caused the girl to shake, toppling over, the cat falling ontop of her head.
So it seemed that she had been sleeping though an earthquake...As had Kaigan and Taranis. Oh deer! She needed to go wake them up. "Ilco, get my hat would you." she told the winged hat, who was trembling atop her head.
Though a hat was a strange request for someone to get during a time of panic, she felt as though she needed it. It had always kept her calm, well perhaps that wasn't the word. But it definatly helped with her attitude.
Quickly she rushed into the boys' room, giving Kaigan a poke. He'd be the hardest to wake up, seeing as she could just carry Taranis if she had to. "Kaigan get up!" she huffed, the boy simply rolling over. They didn't have time for this! Grabbing a bit of the boy's white hair she gave it a tug, surpressing a laugh as he sprung up.
"What is wrong with you?!" came his quick reply as to what Yakobi had just done. "Apperently we've been sleeping though an earthquake. We have to get going." her voice was somewhat calm, the whole fact hadn't completly sunk in just yet. Quickly she gave Taranis a shake, the boy simply replying with an 'merf'. With a sigh she pulled him from the top bunk into her arms. She'd carry him until he noticed, seeing as he'd probably protest to being carried.
Grabbing Kaigan's wrist she draged him out towards the front door calling to Ilco before steping out. She looked around, how could they have seriously slept though all this? Handing Taranis to Kaigan she instructed them to head to the center, she wanted to find Kiro and ask him what was going on. It never seemed to click that she could always ask whoever was already at the center.
Taking Ilco from Kaigan's head she watched as he walked off towards the center, complaining that he had be carrying his little brother. Quickly she ran off after the neko-jin, slowing when she finally spotted him. "Kiro! What exactly is going on?" she called out.
((Ummm not quite sure what side she's on, but she lives right in front of the center. Or well, she has the closest house to the center.))

The neko-jin hesitated as Yakobi called him. Wasn't she listening?! He turned quickly back to face her, moving towards her so he could be heard more easily. "Look, Yakobi," he said, his voice unnaturally stern. "There's no time to ask me questions. Go to the Centre and stay there. They should know more than I do right now anyway." He gave her a gentle, but hurried, push in the right direction. "Don't argue with me, okay? Just make tracks." After speaking, and without even saying goodbye, the neko-jin turned away and continued his errand.

Ieyasu paused briefly and looked around. That seemed to be all of the houses on this half of the village. Hopefully, Kiro was doing ok. Just before he started back to his house to find Ilex, another earthquake made him almost stumble. Regaining his footing, he turned to look south dubiously. What he saw did not encourage him. There was more smoke than ever, and the volcano was now spitting. Spinning, Ieyasu took off at a flat run to his house. He needed to get the cat and get back as soon as possible.
Slamming the door open, Ieyasu began to fantically search the wooden house for any sign of the grey cat. Fortunately, the house was small, and the kitsune had a few guesses as to where Ilex could be. vaulting up the ladder, he began to search under the beds. Sure enough, the cat was crouched under the low bed, his ears flattened to his skull and his eyes wide. The ground should not move like that.
Trying to coax the cat out from underneath, and failing, Ieyasu eventually had to physically catch hold of him. Ilex was none too pleased about this, and wriggled as best he could. Despite the cat's meowing and twisting, Ieyasu managed to finally get him down the ladder. Ignoring the fact that he had just been given a rather nasty scratch on the arm, he ran down the path and made a beeline towards the centre. Hopefully, anyone else that was outside was now in the centre.

The last door. It had to be. Hesitating only briefly, Kiro sighed. There was nobody in these houses, or if they were then they felt secure enough not to have to answer his summons. Hopefully Ieyasu managed his side quickly too. And hopefuly Yakobi had taken the neko-jin's advice and hotfooted it to the Centre.
Kiro stepped off the house's front step and turned to head back to the Centre, as suddenly a violent rumble shook the ground underneath him, actually pushing the youth over. Quickly, Kiro scrambled to a sitting position, staring up in the sky above him. Things were just getting worse and worse...!
There had suddenly been a belch of smoke, and even as Kiro watched, the shadow spread, creeping over the island. He also took notice of a sudden spray of firey pieces projecting towards the island, several of them scorching the ground around him. He quickly sprang to his feet and turned to head towards the Centre, under his breath a string of swearing none would usually expect from the mild-mannered neko-jin.

((Taking place after the quakes and volcano have died down . . .))
Liking Pueblo's idea, Nehanda followed her friend through the door of the Centre. Once outside, she coughed a bit at the thick dust. "The air smells bad," she murmured as she and Pueblo made their way along. "Everything looks kinda different." That was very true. Some of the houses had suffered significant damage from falling debris and fire. Trees on the edge of the large clearing had fallen, and the ground itself had gained new highs and lows.
The fear that had arisen earlier for her gardens returned in full force as Nehanda looked around, and she ran ahead, pulling Pueblo behind her. It didn't take more then a few minutes to reach the house, as it was located smack dab in the center of the clearing. What she saw there brought Nehanda to tears.
"They're ruined," she whimpered. The tidy rows of plants had been demolished. Chunks of rock from the volcano had flattened what hadn't been burned by the fire or pulled apart by the shaking earth.
"My plants are all dead!"

Pueblo's ear flattened and coughed a couple times. Yick! What was wrong with the air? She squinted her eyes to look around, but as soon as a black smoke cloud cleared, her jaw dropped. Embers gleamed in her green eyes. A sudden mix of sadness rushed through her as she saw her favorite thing licked with flame; the trees. Not all were that bad, but some had hardely any leaves left. She stiffened when she was pulled along with Nehanda.
As soon as they reached the house, only more saddness was around the corner. "Volcanoes are mean...," Pueblo murmured and hugged her friend tightly. Her tail laid still between her legs, imagining the once green gardens her friend had worked so hard on. She pursed her lips to the side. "They can be fixed...right? You can grow them again...and they'll be even better! Cuz you know what to do now," she said, trying to give Nehanda some hope.
"PUEBLO! There you are! Thank goodness... are you alright? Why did you just run off like that? It's so unlike you," Fae hurried and fell to her knees, despite the burning ground. But then she saw what they were looking at and realised she hadn't noticed her surroundings. "Oh, Nehanda... I'm so sorry," she frowned and hugged them both. "I found them Foenix, they're over here!" she called out for her friend.

Foenix hurried up behind her friend. "Oh, thank gods," she huffed. Worried into anger, she opened her mouth to tear a strip off her charge, when she looked around and realized exactly why the girls had hurried off.
"Oh, hun," she murmured. She slowly lowered herself to the dusty ground beside her little girl. "Nehanda, look at me." She tugged on the Aerandir's shoulders until they were facing. "We can plant everything again. And remember, some of these are really sturdy plants. I'll bet we can even save what's left of them, and just re-plant the stalks . . ."
Nehanda buried her face in Foenix's chest, tears coursing down her soot-covered cheeks. She kept ahold of Pueblo's hand, needing all the comfort she could get at that moment. "But . . . but I loved them," she cried. "I worked so hard . . . and they were my friends."
"Nehanda, I'l bet you could get some of your other friends to help re-plant everything." Foenix hugged the child. "Pueblo's here, and Keanu knows about gardens, too. I'll bet that Acia would be willing to help with the soil again, once she shows up." She looked over at Fae and Pueblo, and mouthed, "Thanks."

Ieyasu stepped outside, staring around at the village. Everything was blackened with ash, and rocks were littered across the ground. It stank out here.. Grimacing faintly, the kitsune took a step forward. This wasn't a particularly pretty sight. There was smoke in the air too. He could see a few flames flickering still here and there.
He wasn't sure he wanted to go and check his house. In all honesty, he wouldn't be surprised if it was no longer there, judging by the damage just outside the centre here. But.. well... no time like the present..
Before he started off towards his house, he turned to look to the south. Just in case. Everything seemed quiet enough, with the exception of the girls a short way away. Someone was crying. Maybe something lost.. Sighing, he turned to the north-west, heading towards his own house.

Nyxa was horrified at the sight that greeted her outside of the Centre. It was hazy with smoke, and it stank to high Heaven. She moved down the walkway, following in Ieyasu's wake. Passing Nehanda and Pueblo, Fae and Foenix, she could hear sobbing. Nyxa was hard pressed to fight her own tears. She only hoped that her own cabin was in decent shape. Something fixable, that was all she hoped for. It wasn't as if she had things of great value in the cabin; it was her home, and the total loss of that would be devastating.
Drawing closer, she discovered that her house was ..well. It seemed to be one of the lucky houses. There was a hole in the roof and small fires littered about the stoop, shattered windows. Everything was pretty scorched, to be honest, but it was savageable, at least to Nyxa.
Sighing softly, she moved towards the cabin and started stomping out the smaller fires.
Luc burst through the door of the Centre and skidded to a halt. His nose wrinkled in distaste, the stench almost overpowering. Everything was black, burned, destroyed. He was shocked, confused. In a daze he stepped forward a few feet, ears twitching as he caught sound of someone crying. "All burned up," he muttered to himself, unsure of what to do next.

Alyosha moved towards the sea, first, away from the guardians. He walked into the water a little way, leant over into the choppy, sooty waves and splashed it up over himself. The water felt ill, sickly. Still, he kept splashing it onto himself.
The water clung to him, the droplets building up around him into a watery, wavy bubble. After a little while he wobbled out of the ocean, the water orbiting around him closely. Heading towards the village once more he sought out all of the small fires which were still burning. At each he stopped, scooped some water from the volume surrounding his body and poured into the heart of the embers.
The sight was an odd one, but the water kitsune had had to fight some small fires before. He went on about his business in a daze, thinking of Acia more than those around him. They were healthy if nothing else.

Ieyasu stopped and stared at what was left in front of him. It was a house before the eruption. Not now though. Part of it had been caved in at the front. He guessed that one of those huge rocks had landed on it. And what the rocks had started, the fires had finished.
He hadn't expected his house to be in perfect shape after what he had heard, but still. He had hoped it wouldn't have been this bad.. He simply stared at it blankly for a few moments, taking in the sight. It was just as well he'd found Ilex earlier, or else the cat would have been stuck inside when it happened. The kitsune sighed, running a sooty hand over his face.
Look on the bright side, Yasu. Everyone who was in the house is safe, and it's only stuff afterall...
Shaking his head, Ieyasu turned away from the house. Once everything had cooled down, he could take a careful look through the remains and try to see what he could salvage. Now, he had better find Osu and make sure he was ok.
Not quite expecting Luc's sudden stop, Osu had to do a quick divert to stop himself from crashing into the other Aerandir. Stopping, he stared around himself in surprise. The whole town looked like there had been a fire. It was covered in the black stuff that was left after he put out a flame.
Fire was pretty and all.. but this didn't look very nice. Yassu always said that you had to be careful that fire didn't jump onto anything you wanted to keep nice. Osu didn't think that the people here would want everything on fire... much as he liked it, other people didn't seem to so much.
He could see the purple man now. He looked all funny and bubbly. How was he carrying water like that without a bucket? That was awesome-cool! Osu also realised that he was putting out all the little fires nearby. Hey, he could help with that!
Running over to Aly, Osu stopped beside him. "Uhm... Can I help? I can put out candles and stuff! I been pwactising my control!" Sure, he'd be putting out the fire, but Osu loved practising with his spellweaving, and if Aly let him, he could show Luc what he could do!
