Helena's tail hit Yurogonath's head, but he recovered quickly and grinned. He chuckled mightily as he clenched his jaws tighter."Now you see.... you seem to mistake me for an ornery red dragon. He said. But you see, my plan wasn't just to simply to knock over a few houses over a few savage beasts... as a matter of fact, you have played an instrumental part in it. And for that I thank you for being such a willing participant. Yurogonath said to Helena mentally. "As such... I shall give you a gift!" Necromantic energy began to build up within him and soon he released a pulse of negative energy throughout the area they were in. The vegetation beneath them would whither and rot away, and the pulse began to lance out through Helena.

Helena would fly high into the air away from the necromantic energy as she dare not breathe it in. She had to neutralize it. She had to use powers of healing. She’d end up sacrificing much of her life for this to stop it as she would close her eyes. Healing energy would pour out of her body towards the ground flowing like a healing force. Her entire nature was to heal the entire area infected and herself at any costs. The other part of her powers were to be used against Yurogonath himself. She sent a wave of dehydration at him that would surely hit as she began to fall to the ground inside of a barrier in half-human, half-dragon form. Her back would have dragon’s wings while she was in human form.

Miluiel sat back, she flinched at the sounds of battle, and prayed for it to end soon. She wondered who all was out there fighting, had any on their side been lost?

Celeron tried to join the fray. As he flew up into the air he found himself stopped by a most tangible force generated by Helena. He considered pushing through from this side of the barrier but when necrotic magic ate away around them Celeron stopped his advance. It was apparent it was only stopped by the barrier holding them inside the village.

Shera knew a way to counter the necromantic force. She would fly up to join Celeron as she placed her hand in his. She’d squeeze it lightly for assurance. “I may need you to catch me.” Her words came softly as she looked at the force that ate away at the forest she had healed as she sent force a power much stronger than Helena’s own healing force from her body. “Heal oh light that flows within. Sing the song of life and banish this necromantic force before me.” Her words would be the key as the power exited her body quickly.

Yurogonath did take the wave of dehydration, but he moved quickly, and did not take a full hit from. It was clearly a hit however. "Not bad... but you do realize that what you experienced was far from what I truly am capable of. You should have paid more attention to the village really..." He said as he raised one clawed foreleg and slammed it into the ground, and the ground of village began to shake violently, trees went renegade and smashed whatever was in range, wood from house flew. As more necromantic energy was reversed, the more violent the wild plants became. Yurogonath laughed and vanished, leaving not trace other than the devastation he had inflicted on the village.
Shinn awoke whimpering and holding his head tightly. "Plants... angry..." He cried out, tears pouring from his eyes. "Screaming... everything is screaming..." He said trying to cover his ears to no avail.

Azrael saw the trees go wild but after a a length of time the trees within the barrier went back to normal. He ran over to the house that had been harmed by the acid and saw Shana there already, moving debris. Two injured werewolves were being treated by the younger healers. Suddenly he heard a scream of despair. Moved out from the debris was a werewolf cub at least a year younger than Shinn. Patches of bare skin where seen on the body of the child, and it was unmoving, dead, too young to stand up to the falling debris. Cold sweat poured from Azrael, who was still in his human form. If that green dragon had attacked his home... that might have been Shinn. He felt sick to his stomach, but he had to console the distraught family. He was the Alpha and he had to be strong.

Miluiel jumped at Shinn's sudden reaction. She wrapped her arms around him and placed her hands gently over his ears hoping to help him. "Shinn, Shinn can you hear me?" she asked him trying to keep a calm even tone. "There there little one." She kissed his head, deeply shaken herself. The world had become deathly silent. What had happened out there? She wondered. She stood up, with Shinn in her arms, and paced around the room.

Shera saw the destruction and extended her powers further to protect the village. “Oh light and healing powers please protect this village. I give of myself and demand you do not let anyone else suffer!” Her eyes then closed as she started falling to the sky. There weren’t just werewolf victims this day. Shera would fall from the sky landing harshly on the ground.
Helena would gasp as she didn’t get all of the necromantic force. She’d fly towards it hoping to get rid of the rest when she noticed Shera fall from the sky. She’d catch her partially so that she didn’t break her neck. “Celeron take care of her!” Helena would use the last of her powers to remove the necromantic powers with her strength before seemingly turning back into her half-human, half-dragon self falling to the ground next to Shera. Her eyes would roll to the back of her head as she laid on the ground. She had used too much power and it showed greatly.

Shinn whimpered softly and buried his head in her chest. "It hurts... too dark..." He said. He could here the spirits of the forest and the village and the pain inflicted on them, and felt the necromantic energy.
Veral looked at Mazzia sadly. "This was all because I stayed here..." He said as he walked out of the house slowly, almost in a daze. "I didn't want any of this... so why does it happen because of me?" He asked to no one as he stood in the snow, looking at the barrier above him. The necromantic force had been banished, but the damage had been done. The despair and sorrow he felt from the minds of others caused him to fall to his knees. "I must leave..." He told himself. "For the sake of these people... I must draw him away... make him follow me to the edge of the world... just not here." He said, his black robed fluttered in a breeze but he couldn't feel it. The feeling of responsibility was too oppressive to feel anything else.

Arzael had done what he could for the family. He gave an acorn to the mother of the deceased child, so that a tree would grow in exchange for the life that had left them, but only his need to be strong kept him from falling to his knees and screaming for justice. He worried about his own family, and made his way back to his home. He returned to the family den and saw Shinn crying against Miluiel. "Is Shinn alright?" He asked concerned, but still subdued from what had happened.

Tanis walked out of the tent, a bit dizzily. He saw Helena return to her human form and fall to the ground. He approached her slowly, nervously. Summoning himself up he walked forward and wrapped his arms around her. She was the same Helena he knew.
"Azrael!" Miluiel exclaimed. She ran to him. "Azrael what happened?" She asked wrapping an arm around Azrael, and trying again to calm Shinn. "He just started crying, he hears the forest." Miluiel said, but looking up into Azrael's face she saw the pain within him. "Dear, let us all go sit before you fall over." She said worriedly. She could see Azrael was not well.

Helena’s eyes slowly opened but very weakly. She used too much power to fight. She had none to give. Her eyes looked at Tanis as if she was trying to speak her apologies that he had to see her in dragon form so soon without her explaining. Her dragon’s wings were still upon her back and she couldn’t move. She finally would find her voice as she asked with concern for Lady Shera. “Lady Shera? Her condition…” Her words came softly almost breathless.

Azrael nodded and led them back to the bed where he plopped down unceremoniously. "We were fortunate that most of the people were celebrating at the Honor Hall. Many homes were destroyed, but... one of them... one of them was occupied. Three were inside, two adult and a child, the adults are currently at the spirit lounge for healing but the child... I am sorry Shinn but..... Zaimina is dead." He said as softly as he could.
Shinn looked up suddenly, in shock. His whimpering stopped, but he sat rigid against Miluiel, it was too much for him to comprehend.

Azrael looked away. "It also seems that Shinn has inherited the ability to hear the spirits. The dark power that was used by that green dragon hurts the spirits, and he bore the brunt of that pain. Azrael ran a hand down Shinn's back softly and the hugged both Miluiel and Shinn tightly, so that Shinn was between them. "I am so glad that you are both here..." He said, a tear managing to get past his attention. "I love you both so much..."

Tanis shook his head, "I am not sure Helena, but I think we should get you inside, Celeron should be able to care for Shera, you need to be resting." He lifted her up off the ground and walked back toward the tent Azrael and the others were in.
Miluiel bowed her head. "How awful." she said softly stroking Shinn's head. "Azrael, Shinn, I am so sorry." Her heart pounded painfully. Miluiel hugged him back. "Dearest, I love you too, please feel free to express what you are feeling. You don't need to hide it." She kissed his head. "I am thankful you are back with us." She said softly.

Helena’s eyes closed again after being picked up. Her body seemed to be too tired to argue. She had used too much energy to protect the village to the best of her ability and she had failed. She felt horrible inside. She didn’t succeed in protecting it at all. People got hurt even with the barrier. Shera was now unconscious and she didn’t know if she was okay or not. Helena was sinking into a depressed state as a warrior as she opened her eyes looking up at Tanis. “Alright. I failed the village…I swore to protect them and they still got hurt…people died…I failed them…”

Celeron was surprised when Shera fell from his hand and more so when she was saved by Helena. Celeron's Wings wrapped around Shera protectively with the possibility of further evil making its way in. He had to formulate a plan if that thing came back since he specialized in slaying demons not dragons.
