Summer leaned against Xavier and held on to his hand smiling up at him and noticing he didn't puff out his chest. So she thought she'd give him a kiss and she did on the cheek.

Xavier smiled and kissed her on the cheek in return happily. Still holding her hand, he let his fingers intertwine with hers. His energy was slowly coming back, like it was back from some sort of break, and even though it didn't make him hyper or antsy it did make the color come back in his face.

"It says Ariel," reported Esmeralda dutifully, a little surprised that Summer hadn't just looked at the paper to see. At the mention of her name, the filly's ears pricked up and she whickered. Esmeralda chuckled. "God, she's cute."
Roman smiled, pleased. "Perfect," he said. "Let me know when you feel like it. Then we can just switch horses for a bit and see how he goes. In the meantime, though, let's go get food." He casually opened the door to the mess hall. "Ready?" he asked teasingly.

"Yes she is such a cutey pie," Summer said smiling up happily at Xavier, "What do you think of her?" she asked him.

Xavier looked over at Kelly and Ariel. "Yeah, she is beautiful." He said quietly, a little reluctantly. It wasn't in his aura, per se, to say things like that, but oh well - he had. He smiled a little and kissed Summer's forehead, then looked back at Ariel and Esmeralda.
Kahlilia giggled a little, making her laughter sound like shy little bells. "Thank you." She said to Roman as she walked in. The large room was completely empty except for them, but luckily, food was in stock. It was like those salad bar types of things, where you go in a line and pick out what you want from a big black plastic bowl. Cool.

Well, it is getting crowded. I'll leave. Nanina said after Xavier kissed Summer, again. She skirted around them and started for the barn door.

Summer ran after her, "Is something bothering you? Am I doing something to make you avoided and get mad at me?" she asked.

Nanina looked back, pausing in her step. Nothing you could have avoided. She answered softly, eyes downcast as she scuffed her boot in the hay.

"There's something your not telling me I just can't place my finger on it, we were getting along great what happened?" Summer asked then she said, "You know what when you get ready to tell me what's been bugging you and why I'm a part of it you know were to find me," she then stomped off back to were Xavier was and the new filly.

"Hey, the party is just getting started," Xavier said to Nanina, but he didn't complete his sentence because he saw her storming off and then Summer following her. He looked over at Esmeralda with a very confused, "Wtf is going on?" look in his gray-blue eyes. He probably didn't want to find out.
When Summer came back, he gave her the same look he had given Esmeralda. "What happened?" He said, his voice deepening in a semi-protective tone. He didn't want to be completely oblivious to the situation, because he didn't want to seem weak, but nobody was telling him. Did that mean they didn't want him to find out on purpose? What were they hiding from him?

"Don't worry, Xavier darling, it's just a little disagreement between Nanina and myself," she said smiling up at him hearing the protective tone in his voice, "I'm sure we'll work it out in due time," she then kissed his cheek and grabbed his hand.

Esmeralda had seen enough to think she knew what was going on. She gave Xavier a sympathetic grin. Life's tough at the centre of a triangle, she thought. "I wonder who her father is," she mused, switching the conversation back to Ariel. Far be it from her to talk about it if Nanina didn't want it acknowledged.
Roman wandered in behind Kahlilia, examining the room with undisguised interest. It was strange to think that this was where they were going to be for every meal for the next two months.
Two months that, he hoped, were going to be very productive. Ariel, Phoenix, and maybe they'd figure out something for Benvolio too.

Xavier would have asked Summer what the disagreement was, but something held him back from that, and so he said, "Um... okay," In a still lowering voice. "Thats a good question." He said in response to Esmeralda. "Is there like, an alpha male here? Maybe it would be him." His tone of voice was slowly returning to its normal calmly deep pitch as the subject changed to something lighter. He squeezed Summer's hand in return and kissed it sweetly.
Kahlilia walked over to the front, tugging at a loose strand of brown hair. After what was probably a valid hesitation, she said, "What was it like for you when Phoenix jumped over the lake earlier?" It felt strange, asking such a question. It felt like asking someone what their dreams at night were and what they meant. Those people scared her. But, she reminded herself, that question had been on the tip of her tounge for hours and she had never let it turn into actual words until now. She smiled a little apologetically and her petite hands went to her sides.

Nanina was angry, though she really had no reason to be. <********! WHy am I doing this? She wondered, casting one last glance at the happy couple and then leaving the Barn for good. She walked around, looking for Chris, and when she found him, Nanina walked up to him and planted a kiss on the male's lips.
