"Naturally" Star replied.
Just then someone Tapped him from behind. J'onn appeared. "Excuse me may I borrow you for just a moment" He grabbed Joker by the hem of his collar and lifted him up high above the rooftops as the Martian took off with purple suited fiend. "Your going to answer some questions.." The martian replied followed by Star who still had the car in her hand.

Joker saw the Martian appear, and was too shocked to do anything beyond hold on to the cards in one hand, and the Manhunter's arm with the other. As they floated above the rooftops, Joker recovered some, and said, "If you wanted to participate, you could've ASKED..."

"What do you know about the one known as The Commissar?" he asked ignoring his lyrical comments.
Star really hoped he wasn't going to drop him otherwise he'd be a little to much like Batman., by that time the fire trucks had arrived, which was a good thing to. "I'm going to stay, I'll catch up" She told him flying back as the restaurant flames were being put out.

A genuine look of confusion spread over Joker's face. "Commissar? Sorry, I've never heard of him." The look became one of seriousness. "Even if I had, I wouldn't be helping someone who's likely from Communist Russia. I may be a criminally insane psychopath, but I'm an AMERICAN criminally insane psychopath! Didn't you hear about what I did to Iron Cross back on the Hell World that the Suicide Squad and Checkmate sent most of us villains?" A smile crept up onto the Joker's face. "Actually, you DO know... YOU WERE THERE! Badly disguised as Blockbuster. Catwoman outed your real identity, as I recall. Sorry we left you in that cage, but when those Parademons attacked, we were too cut off by the destruction that they had already caused. We WOULD have saved you if we could, if for no other reason than to use you as a bargaining chip against the heroes." The clown looked down a bit. "Are you going to drop me? Because that would be harsh, even by Batsy's standards. Hell, he's SAVED me from similar falls before." Then he noticed that the Martian Manhunter was holding him by the hems of his jacket lapels. "And did I not JUST say, 'Watch the jacket?!'"

"I assure you I have no intentions of letting you fall...to far." He recalled Joker's statements, but that information was useless. Jokey was from their reality, but he knew the maniac had gotten his pastey hands into something. "Perhaps Batman will be more convincing.." he stated as the flew over the ware houses. " I don't trust you know anything about the Eastern Bloc or Kyrptonite being handled from these harbors.." He said minding his jacket.

"My apologies.." he said. "but there is more going here than you and your personal welfare.." he flew over the water behind the dock and stopped. "Now I shall ask you again.."he said possibly opting to scan the Joker's mind, but from what he knew the Joker's mind was not a place that any empath would want to be. "What do you know?"

"I don't know anything! ALL I've done is blow up a restaurant! There wasn't anyone there who wasn't already killed by other people!" A lie, but something told him that Martian Manhunter wouldn't risk one of his famed mental scans on him; last empath who tried a stunt like that had gotten temporary insanity for his troubles, and almost everyone, including the JLA, knew it. "Okay, well, that, and pick a fight with that Star Chick, but that's IT! Now PLEASE! Take me back, before I do something we're both going to regret!"

"Of course..." he said making a u-turn to return the clown back to the entrance of the restaurant. He wasn't his to lock up anyhow. "Gotham PD will be most please to see you . Them or the Asylum.." he said noticing Star down below with Rosie, Goassamer and fire trucks as well as squad cars. The Martian Dropped the Joker off, he was of no importance, not for the moment it was time to return to space for out of all the cities Gotham was his least favorite.

Joker's smile became creepy enough to give a hardened serial killer pause; he would know, he did it with Victor Xzazx before. " I didn't know you cared..." The Ace of Knaves was fully capable of breaking out of Arkham, and any capture by the GCPD would result in a trip to Arkham, if it got that far. Half the time, he escaped before arriving there. he turned back to Stargirl, and said, "Give me back my card; the alien ruined all the fun..."

"Why?" She asked flashing the Crown Prince of Laughter a smile. "Can't it just be a souvenir?" She asked him swinging the staff over her shoulder. J'onn dropped him off.
"There is nothing further for us to do here.."he said tapping his comm preparing to leave.

Joker picked up the Jack of Hearts, and said, "Okay then, sure, keep it. As a matter of fact, have TWO!" He pulled out another card, and threw them fiercely at Stargirl's staff, into which they cut into just enough to stick inside of it without help. It was obvious that they could be pulled out easily. It was also (now) obvious that they were razor-edged. The two cards hit with their faces towards Stargirl. He had returned the Jack of Hearts, like he said. The second card was a Joker. With a nod, the Clown Prince of Crime smiled and said, "Good aim, huh? Just a fraction off would have put the cards in your hand. Literally."

"Argh!" She said as he threw the cards at her both embedding in her staff. "Not cool...at all." She said pulling one card out. The edges of it were razor sharp just like he said. Star placed the cards in her cosmic belt before saluting. "Well see yah try not do anything rash that will get us called back here again." She said before flying off after J'onn.
